Finally beat the game after only 109 hours! I abandoned the game several times until I found an Inquisitor I liked playing as.

Blame Rascoth for the small font size.

It's cool, you know it.

Ran around Skyhold and then went to the Temple of Dirthamen. Still love that place even if I get turned around more often than not and the stupid arcane horrors kill all my party at least once. Well, except Sam this time - he did fine. B) The battle against the poor ol' Highest One was probably one of the easiest fights ever. He never even got to fly away up to the stairs next to the loot door.

...

I did that Arcane Horrors fight a while ago. Couldn't believe how difficult was! It was quite embarrassing.

...

This may not have been the best decision my Inquisitor has made in securing water in the Western Approach.

Um... look... damn it, this was Leliana's idea!

^ After one instance of that, I always take Cullen's suggestion; kick out the wyverns. It's not as if they're bent on exterminating them, they're just making sure the wyverns get the message they should shift to greener pastures.

*

Finished ROTR. Excellent game. Worth another replay which I'm going to do, also bought the DLC. Fired up Dragon's Dogma Dark Risen just now. This game came out in 2012 or 2013 originally a console game so graphics are not so cutting edge. CC, well better than DAI in some ways; better styled hair! Face; you don't get to mush it like dough, there're prefixed choices but you do get choices for other facial features. Scars, you also get body scars. Char posture can be adjusted. Chose a strider class which is like a rogue; daggers and bow.  Story starting; well, predictable in some ways and fascinating in others.

Kiri, indecisive where she should go next, went to talk to her friends for a bit and it turned out that Varric was already looking for her.

After that she decided to go for a walk in the Garden, where a boy approached her, turned out he were Morrigan's and the Hero of Ferelden's son, Kieran.

Still not sure where she wanted to go next, Kiri talked to Blackwall, if he now wanted to be called Rainier, to which he said that wanted to treat it like a title, like how everyone calls Kiri "Inquisitor".

A few stops later Kiri ended up on Viv's balcony, who of course had a request for her, "Bring me the Heart of Snow White."

Okay, next stop Exalted Plains.

Kiri went there with Sera, Cass and Viv, but before they went on Wyvern hunt Kiri wanted to explore the Plains a little more (and do the remaining side quests).

- Found all Elven Glyphs

- Found all Shards

- Found all letters of the dead soldiers

- Closed all Rifts

- Did the Dead Hand quest

- Killed an apostate Templar for Cass

Then Kiri decided that she first wanted to restore the Bridge before she'd kill the Wyvern. :P

Back in the Plains the group went into the Crow Fens and first fought the Snow Wyvern and, because they were already there, the Gamordan Stormrider.

That done they went over the bridge to kill the last remaining Undead and tell the Soldiers that the civil war was finally over. (I have to do WEWH first all the time now, before doing all side quests in the Plains, cause it gave me a Special Dialogue option with Commander Jehan)

Back in Skyhold, Kiri gave Viv the real heart and learned that it was for her lover Bastien. Sadly the potion didn't help and he died. :(

Kiri then had a talk with Viv & Cass about who should be the next Divine and feels now torn about who she should support.

Well, anyway, next stop Emprise du Lion~

Sam decided to make the three stooges work together. Taking the top dialogue option (the "naïve optimism" one) seems to have generated different lines spoken by Gaspard later on. Or maybe I'm just remembering it wrong.

"An Unexpected Engagement," and Sam learns how to duel
First, the bad news

Spoiler

A duel in the heart of Val Royeaux. I'm fairly certain Yvette will be most put out that she missed it. A question for those who have romanced Josie with a different race character: Is Otranto as big of a jerk to them as he was to Sam (to begin with, I mean)?

Kiri went to Emprise du Lion (and I enabled Rest Easy) together with Dorian, Varric and Cass.

There they went on and captured all the camps from the Red Templars. In Suledin Keep they met a Desire Demon...pardon, a Choice Spirit  called Imshael.

Kiri chose to kill him. ;)

Then she went back to the Emerald Graves and jumped onto a little cave, the man inside was happy, when she gave him some Crystal Grace, now she's back in the Emprise to get her Flower Crown.  :D

The black is really nice but too bad it's not the real black in brighter light. The sash is the wrong colour, the trimmings are not though.

Just ended a session of Dragon's Dogma DA. It's a bit glitchy. Don't ever travel at night! if you can help it. Inventory isn't the best layout I've ever seen but storage is great. Before the game closed off, I saw my PC's permanent companion (not LI, pawns cannot be LI because they have no emotions / initiative. They're some form of beings that took human form, I haven't gotten the reason why yet. LIs are NPCs which I think can be anyone. Eyeing a peddlar but she's got an attitude that's annoying. I haven't seen a interesting male NPC yet but then I guess I'm not that deep into the story yet) come up, peer at her face and wave because she wasn't moving.

Having done her duties with the judgements and also promoting Ser Barris to Knight-Commander, Freya went to check on her companions. She was worried about Cole, and she was right in doing so. With what had happened at Adamant and in the Fade, Cole wanted Solas to bind him. Solas luckily had another idea and Freya promised Cole she would find a way to help him. Cole ran off, but Freya found him again, listening to Skyhold's people. He helped a woman. She was glad she had initially decided to trust him after he had helped her at Therinfal Redoubt, Cole was surely something special...

Spoiler

She then had a short chat with Sera and Cassandra had started to write down what had happened in the Fade. Freya told her to be careful.

Spoiler

Blackwall was upset about the Grey Wardens, understandably, and Freya wondered if she should have brought him along. It was too late now, but at least she had been able to save most of the Wardens. Josephine had a request concerning her family.

Spoiler

Josephine and Freya will meet with some noble in Val Royeaux at a later time, for now Leliana had an important lead from the crystal planted on Calpernia. Freya also told Leliana what had happened to Justinia at the Conclave...

On Freya's orders, Leliana sent ahead some people to clear the Shrine of Dumat, mentioned by Corypheus in a conversation with Calpernia, of any traps.

In the meantime, Freya and her companions traveled to the Hinterlands and took care of a dragon in order to earn a trophy keep Redcliffe and its people safe :D

So I put it off as long as I could. Josie just wouldn't let it go. Soooo... I held court today. I don't really feel comfortable "passing judgement" on people, but it's part of the whole gig I guess. The first person up was... well... He apparently was caught throwing goats at the castle.... I will say that again. He was throwing goats at Skyhold. I don't think there was ever a law that covered this one. So my decree was that he be given as many of our old weapons as he and his clan could carry and resettle in Tevinter. Let the Magisters deal with these... people... Honestly, who throws a goat?

So, what did Kiri do today?

First she picked up her Flower Crown (forgot to take a pic :pinched:  maybe later  :?) then she rescued the town people from Sahrnia from the Red Templars.
After that she went back to the Emerald Graves for some side quests

- closed the remaining Rifts

- killed the Higher Mistral (fav High Dragon  )

- went to Di'nan Hanin and stopped the Venatori doing, whatever they were doing.

- went to Chateau D'Onterre, Sera wasn't happy about it.

That done she first went to the Forbidden Oasis, to open the last Spirit and Frost door, now is only the last Fire door left, before she can face the Pride Demon. (she needs more Shards first...)

Back in Skyhold, Kiri talked to Leliana, who had gotten a letter from the late Justinia. After some explanations they travelled to Valence and searched for whatever Justinia had left for Leliana there. In the cloister Kiri had to stop Leliana from killing a sister, but luckily everything went well and Kiri's spymaster is now softened.  ^_^

So, with that done, Kiri took Sera, Cass and Viv and went to the Emprise, to start the quest Breeding Grounds. Enabled Rub Some Dirt on it and Hello~ Hivernal~  :D

Ran into quite the menagerie back on the Storm Coast:

Two bears
RT Shadow
A few darkspawn, including a Hurlock alpha
Other RTs

Sam let them fight amongst themselves for a while, then he and team dove in to clean up the leftovers. :D

Spoiler

Now I can't decide if I want to start Descent or head to Emerald Graves.

Commitment to roleplay has cost me two items in my current DAO run.

Ancient elven boots: You have to talk to Ser Bryant all the way back in freaking LOTHERING. Look, my Dalish Warden was still getting used to being around humans and didn't feel like talking to anyone beyond necessary.

Ancient elven helm: Trading with the hermit from the Brecilian Forest. Now thing is, most items he accepts are obtained by being a dick.

One of the few morally good options involved going back to camp to get a reward from Athras and give that to the madman. But there was no reason for my dutiful/focus on mission character to do that unnecessary delay.

So all I had was the ring from the shade demon's trap and I traded that for the Grand Oak's acorn.

I decided to start Descent. Unfortunately, since I'd set Cullen up on a long WT mission before leaving Skyhold, he was too busy to get a decent camp set up, nor could he spare anyone to round up the casks Sam found in one of the tunnels. Sigh. At least people were available to build some bridges to far out locations further down.

So, first level cleared (and no crash at the cutscene :D). Cullen should be done tomorrow so I can get a decent camp set up. I even remembered to bring blank rune stones this time.

Kiri continued her quest on making the Emprise a safer place and fought Kaltenzahn.

That done she used the Ocularum to find the last few Shards, closed the remaining Rifts and fought the Red Templars, holding the towers.

After that she decided it was time to face the Highland Ravager.

With this, the Emprise is save again.

Next:

- What Pride Had Wrought

- Jaws of Hakkon

- Hissing Wastes

- last time travelling to the Forbidden Oasis

- Doom Upon All the World

- Trespasser

in this order. :D

I'm likely to go back to DAI now and then.

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen has interesting stuff but there're also annoying stuff that far outweighs the good. Not surprising since it's a console port. There had been attempts to improve but imo, not enough. Annoying stuff in DAI is nothing until you get to experience the ones in this game. I've a feeling I won't be able to finish the game because I'm really having problems; you can't dictate tactics to party members or control them.

Trebuchets, red templars, dragons, trebuchets and more trebuchets. Haven is no more and Solas has shown Aderyn the way to Skyhold. She managed to rescue all the inhabitants, even the annoying Segritt, and Flissa is now free to 'serve' the Inquisition in 'a different way'.
