His father then proceeded to throw GOATS at my walls...apparently it was his custom. I like the guy, I paired him with an equally egregious individual who will just LOOOOOVE his company.
Oh and I promoted ser Barris to knight commander...I will send him a dragon bone templar armor for the holidays....the kid earned it.

I don't like being a squishy mage. I already had to re-spec out of lightning spells because they did barely any damage, and didn't paralyze long enough to make up for it. I switched over to fire, which is better, but still not good enough. I could change over to ice, but then I'd also have to re-spec either Viv or Solas since that's what they have. I don't remember being this wimpy in either of the previous games, and it's really frustrating. While trying to set the final trebuchet to fire, the party wiped a couple times (on normal!). I finally took over as Cole and let my mage do her thing via AI, which worked much better. Sigh....I miss having stealth as a power.
Why can't I be a sneaky witch-thief?? Whhhyyyyy????
So we evacuated Haven (got all the "rescuees" out this time
) and have made our way to Skyhold. How a ginormous place like this goes unused and unheard of for ages, I really don't know, but it's ours now. Just needs a bit of work here and there. Oooh, a garden! And a library! Ewww, spiderwebs! How do I get this place cleaned up already?
The war table has exploded with new missions and areas to unlock. So many people requesting aid, I'm not quite sure what to do first. Those darkspawn reports on the coast sound troublesome so maybe that's a good place to start. Can also see if there's another astrarium nearby to unlock a treasure cave like the one in Hinterlands did. Oh, and I need to go see Cullen since he's got himself a fancy new office (with 3 doors?! that could be a problem.....I hope all the locks work.
)

I just could not believe for the life of me that it screwed up then of all times. Literally every time I've tried flirtation in DA:I, it's resulted in horrors. I chose female first to try flirting with Sera, our personalities ended up on opposite sides. I tried Ms. Montilyet instead, and the romance wasn't exactly mindblowing. Second playthrough I tried Dorian, a bug prevented me from even doing the companion quest for him, so the romance was completely cut off. And finally, Cassandra. The evidence is above.
I used to be a hopeless romantic. Now I'm just hopeless about romance.

I tried romancing Cassandra. Remember the party banter bug where people just stare at you or freeze? Yep. Multiple Times. I even had the whole thing recorded on video, which can be found here. The catastrophe starts around 4:45.

Sera's romance is a tough one to get through. I really had to put on my role-playing hat for that one, because if I'd played my Seramancer to make dialogue and quest choices that I myself might make, we probably would have thrown each other off the battlements of Skyhold at some point, heh.
But I played my mage as someone who loved her playfulness, and was totally swept up in her devil-may-care, anti-noble-BS, "make fun of titles because titles are stupid" kinda life, and in the end she really loved her, and had no regrets about any of it... and while I didn't like the way the relationship hinged on a couple of key dialogues, like "agree with me right now or it's over," I gotta say the romance was well done.
RE: Dorian, are you talking about the bug where you have to go to the Gull and Lantern in Redcliffe and it ends up empty and nothing else can happen? If you reload the game, it should work. I had that happen to me. Apologies if you meant a different scene. I haven't tried the Dorian romance yet.

There's apparently a bug where if you increase your influence to Dorian too high before a certain point, his conversation paths close up and the main companion quest becomes un-doable. It is what it is.RE: Dorian, are you talking about the bug where...

So I have apparently glitched my game. After Harold spent some time wandering around Skyhold and talking with everyone, he decided that, since he really knows how to show a gal a good time, he'd take Cassandra, Bull and Dorian to the Forbidden (wink wink nudge nudge) Oasis. Only the place wasn't quite what he thought it'd be when they set out. Turns out it's a desert.
... Looking back on it, he supposed the title of 'oasis' should have been a dead giveaway, but... well, sometimes Harold ain't too bright; for example: obsidian harvesting near a dragon.
Anyway, they got to the oasis, set up camp and started wandering around, peering into ocularums, closing rifts, killing tevinter bandits -- I think. Bull seemed to approve of every one we wasted anyway -- and harvesting a crapload of Paragon's Luster and Serpentstone for the requisitions officer. You know, those Inquisition soldiers in the camps, they don't actually do anything all day except stand around and guard the tents. Why aren't they out harvesting for the requisitions officer? Must ask my advisors about this sometime. I mean, I'm the Inquisitor! I should be able to delegate stuff like this now.
*ahem* So... in their wanderings, the group came across a cave. A cave full of spiders. A cave full of (now) dead spiders.
Among the loot in this cave, they found a wedding ring. Clearly it belongs to someone, but the only other people they've seen in the Oasis were (now) dead tevinter bandits. I know from my last game that there is a woman wandering around the oasis, who asks us to find the ring, and if we bring it to her, she'll give us a key to unlock a door in that spider-corpse-filled cave, so we can get some good loot. Trouble is, Harold found the ring before he ever encountered her, and as he wandered the oasis collecting shards, he kept an eye out for her, but she is just not there. Anywhere. And, anyone who has collected shards in the Oasis knows that you have to cover every inch of the place in order to get to those shards.
So, where is she? Did I glitch it? Do you think if I leave the Oasis, go back to Skyhold and set up some new war table missions and stuff, and then go back to the Oasis, she'll re-appear? Reloading areas sometimes works for these kinds of glitches, right? I mean, I just collected the last damn shard. I am not going to do the whole area all over again. I don't think it's worth it, apart from my completionist OCD, that is.
On a side note, regarding the Cassandra romance: I'm at the point in the relationship where the next time I talk to her, I'll discover her love of trashy novels. She'll mention that Varric must be writing the next chapter. He has to be. Maker, she's adorable, heh.
... uhh, anyway, I can hold off asking Varric about that book can't I, and go do other stuff? Or do I have to get him to write the next chapter right away? I mean, it's not that I don't want him to, I just don't want to advance the romance too quickly.

I finished my ME3 playthrough yesterday. Like always I picked the best ending. So while my femshep is in Vancouver having drinks, I started another DAI playthrough.
This will be my 6th playthrough. I will call this "The playthrough", playthrough.
Christine Trevelyan - mage
me: GET IT OFF! OH SOMEONE PLEASE GET IT OFF! I WANT MY MOMMY.
Cassandra: Stop being a baby. You're not in any pain. You can't do anything about it. The mark is part of you.
me: I don't care. I still want my mommy. She will make it better.
Cassandra: Try talking to her Leliana.
Leliana: I don't know what to say. There, there. Everything will be ok. Now I sound like a baby. Just tell us what happened.
me: I don't remember.
Cassandra: Let me show you.
That sucks. How did that happen? No matter. I just want this thing off my hand. This Cassandra woman isn't helping. I just need to gather myself and I should be ok.
We move along and help a Dwarf and Elf. Varric and Solas. Fine. These people want me to help, but I need help to get rid of this, this whatever mark off my hand. We fight some demons. Thats a big demon. With everyone else trying to take it down, I add my help to defeat it. I raise my hand to close the breach and everything is bright.
I wake up to see an elf. My hand still has this green thing on it, but does not hurt. Its like I have the cooties.
I walk outside. Might as well get myself familiar with this place. I miss my mommy.

I have just completed the Arbor Wilds so I am very close to the end.
I crafted a new dagger from dragon bone, 3 dragon scales, a master corruption rune and a masterwork material of a white wyvern hide. This resulted in a dagger with 500 DPS. I renamed "Best Dagger In The World"
but it is a shame that I won't get to use it much as I am close to the end. I have even thought up a codex entry for the blade:
Rumour has it that the Inquisitor used this blade to save Thedas from the Breach. Some even say he got the blade from the Fade itself and the name is the result of a bargain with a Pride Demon. Our scholars actually recovered the weapon at some abandoned ruins called Skyhold and it will be stored safely at Val Royeaux. We don't know if the Inquisitor had two daggers as the only information about the Inquisition is from accounts made by Seeker Cassandra Pentaghast. The Seeker comments about the Inquisitor's personality as being 'funny' but no reference to a second dagger.
Author Unknown, (dated several centuries after the Inquisition)
I'm delaying doing the final mission by searching for the last of the mosaics/grey warden bottles. I am completely stumped on the Hinterland mosaic and I need to find the last bottle of grey warden liquor (so it is like looking for a needle in a haystack)

Well today, I took Sarajevo Traylvan and went too find a Grey Warden by the name of Blackwall after that I took down the larger rift with the help of Mages. However, soon after the celebrations Haven was attacked by a unknown force and it had a guy named Corynphus at the forefront of the invasion. He apparently also had a Archdemon as a pet with him causing great confusing thoughs in my Mages heads.

After visiting the Requisitions Officer, Wahy figured it was time to speak to our spymaster; Leliana:
Immediatly after, one of Leliana's agents came. Wahy decided to stay and watch:
Yes, yes we will. Then the same process occured as with Josephine: an interrogation veiled as a normal conversation. Wahy's fairly certain this former bard turned spymaster was fully aware.
She now needed a drink, so she entered the Tavern and heard a nice song. So she stayed a bit and talked with Flissa, which was rather uncomfortable. She had no idea Wahy's Dalish, despite the obvious marking on her face. Stupid Shemlen.
Next stop was the Dwarf, Varric:
They also talked about the Champion of Kirkwal, Red Lyrium (it's like Lyrium like a Dragon is a lizard
Moving further in Haven she had a small talk with Segritt (seems a bastard...), the local storeowner that's selling mostly garbage.Seeing as this gave her nothing, she decided to go the blacksmith. An armor was crafted for Solas, and it was improved.
Only two more people had to be visited and interrogated, Cassandra and Cullen:
Now having spoken to everyone of (semi-)importance in the Inquistion, she headed into the woods to pick up master Tayghen (sp?) notes and secure lodging spot for the req. officer. The notes were returned, and the swords for the Inquistion crafted.
Wahy think it's time to get to the Hinterlands.
Tune in again tomorrow for chapter 3 of the Story of Wahy Levellan
I still haven't left Haven. Granted, I haven't played much at all today. But, meh

Bohlin Cadash has received some troubling reports of villagers disappearing in the area with the quarry (don't recall the name off the top of my head) and deserters of the Orlesian Army is causing trouble in the Emerald Graves. He's debating whether to deal with the deserters first or investigate the missing villagers, and trusting Cullen to keep Corypheus pinned down in the Arbor Wilds while he deals with it.

Got a little mistyeyed there, she has been so much fun to follow, growing up and in the end having love and friends around her. Took me 120 hours and there's still so much to see. Cassandra and Varric are great and I greatly enjoyed her romance with Cullen. Loved to go in for a smooch before heading out into the world. Got a banterproblem so never did get to hear about Dorian and Iron Bull getting together or Blackwall and Sera being good friends. But that is what future PT:s are for and I really look forward to discovering new things with the next Quizzy. Even got to see the little bit in the end after the credits unspoiled!
So now I am ready for some fun story-dlc =) I want to know what Hawke is doing, what is the deal with the wardens. Solas, what's up with you. And a possible mage-war in my epiloge, that sounds like a really mess. I just want more story to follow.
I might not post very often but I enjoy reading about your Quizzys out there. Have fun everyone!
