Do they complete, or just become unavailable? I've never not done them, except in my Trial of the Fool game, and I deleted all those saves once the achievement popped.

Hmnm... iirc they appear on completed quests' list, so I believe game treats them as completed.

Gah, why don't I have save from that game  <_<

I'm a compulsive saver. :) I keep my first saves for all characters in my save folder, move the ones I want to keep to another folder on my C drive, and I also have my first and final saves of each character uploaded online just in case of bad things happening to my hard drive.

Oh me too, I just don't keep many saves
That's a good idea, I should probably do that too  :? (tho I'd just move it to my external hard drive)

That's a great guide, thanks for posting the link. I learned a thing or two reading through it that will help speed up regular playthroughs.

It does beg a question, though. Everyone doing Trial of the Fool has to do Requisitions, lots of them. That seems broken. I mean, needing to do a couple of Requisitions to get the last 1 or 2 power you need is fine, but 7 out of 15? That's just bad achievement design.

You're welcome :)

Well, it's a way to get Power, but no EXP, so it's an easy (when also annoying) way of getting Power and keeping your level low.

Btw I got the Trial of the Fool achievement yesterday  :wizard: now I just need to recruit Bull and get enough Power to start WEWH and Trial of the Lovers is done too :D

Really? Well, heck, that's going to save me a lot of time. No more talking to the Butcher, the Baker and the Candlestick maker in Haven! I always forget the Candlestick maker (Requisitions) anyway. I thought I just failed that quest.

Now I want to create my human!Reaver for my Dorian romance, but I haven't found a nice mod with short hair yet.

Or at least not the hair I want.

My Necromancer lady, Nymisa, finally made it to Skyhold after securing an alliance with Fiona and the free mages. She was also crowned Inquisitor vowing to stop Corypheus at all costs.

Spoiler

The first things she did were sealing the underground rift and restoring stability in Crestwood; and executed both the mayor of Crestwood and Alexius.

She also toyed more with Solas in the fade and stole a kiss before dumping him on his butt. Then she moved onto Cullen and beat him in a friendly chess match.

Spoiler

Meanwhile, our fun loving DW Artificer, Ishira, had quite the time tracking down the Grey Wardens and slipping on her dancing shoes at the Winter Ball. An update on her coming soon...

Finished JoH. Beating Gurd this time on NM was way easier than the first time I played it. Amazing how knowing what to expect and what works makes things go more smoothly. Still died a lot though thanks to the level 25 winter shards freezing everyone. I miss those things having only 1 hit point. :)

Next up: I might head back to Emerald Graves to do the Parson's Notebook quest but other than that, everything is done. Heading to Trespasser soon.

Freya went to see both Cassandra and Leliana about this Divine business. While Leliana seemed a bit more torn about the idea, Cassandra was more positive about it and told Freya what she would change. She liked it and told Cassandra she can pull a few favours if need be.

Spoiler

The next day Freya checked up on her companions, after the great fun that was the Winter Palace.

Spoiler

Then Solas took Freya to the Fade and she even made him laugh a bit.

Spoiler

Varric had a friend with him. Bianca... like the crossbow. She had a lead on red lyrium inside Valammar and Freya decided to check it out rather soon. If they can deny Corypheus that source, it'd be totally worth it. Vivienne asked Freya a favour, she talked to Josephine, and then she wanted to see how Morrigan had settled in. But instead of meeting her in the garden, she stumbled over some kid she's never seen before. It turned out to be Morrigan's son.

Spoiler

Freya headed out to Valammar with Varric, Bianca, Bull and Dorian. It didn't really go as expected. Turned out Bianca was the one that made it possible for Corypheus to get his hands on the red lyrium in the first place. Great. Oh well, it was done.

Spoiler

Freya then took Bull, Cole and Dorian to the Temple of Dirthamen. It was eerie but beautiful at the same time.

So I started a new Inquisitor lady.  A mage named Mina.  A spunky red-head with a pixie cut and too much eyeliner.  Right now she is accumulating power, trying to work with the templars or the mages.  She is leaning toward the mages.  Recruited Sera, Bull and Viv.  Needs to find some mysterious Grey Warden named Blackwall.

Finished Emma's playthrough yesterday and now it's time for another Dorian romance. But as always I will spend a few days bothered by the fact that you can go 50 shades of bald but that there's no decent long hair style for men. Once I'm over that I'll probably make another male elf with the longish hair and sidecut.

Finally found my way to Fort Revasan, only to chuckle while Marshall Proulx and a soldier squabbled over a chair.

I was trying to find all the soldiers' letters before meeting Sergeant Mersault, but missed 2, so it's backtracking I go.  Then, it's off to Chateau Death Ray and I'll leave off the Black Fens until after the first part of my dragon killing spree.

Maya lost her temper when yet another distraction, Cass nagging to find the missing Seekers, threatened to delay the expedition to the Emerald Graves for the hundredth time. She stormed into the war room and yelled, "I'm the damn Inquisitor, right? Can't I make a decree or something requiring that everyone keep their sh*t* together long enough for me to check out this Emerald Graves situation?! Josie! Write it up! Leliana, send it out on some birds! Morrigan, put a curse on anyone that asks me to go chase after their lost third cousin twice removed! Cullen, post extra guards at my door to keep the hand-wringers out of my bedroom!"

"Including Rainier?" Cullen asked, totally straight-faced.

Maya just glared at him.

"I'm going to the Emerald Graves with Thom, Vivienne and Dorian. No more excuses! We ride, now!"

---------------

Finally, the Emerald Graves! A bit more leafy than Maya had ever experienced -- the crowded shoppes and makeries of Tinker's Row in Denerim were more her sort of scene -- but she wasn't there just to admire the view. Leliana's scouting reports had noted that a bunch of thugs calling themselves the Freemen of the Dales were pillaging the locals and playing rough.

Amateurs! In a situation like the Dales, you don't off the locals and haul away their loot, like a bunch of bloody pirates. You squeezed them for protection money. That's a more stable stream of income with less risk. Any Carta street rat knew that.

The thugs themselves weren't of much interest, but the loot they'd accumulated was. As well as the opportunity to grow the influence of the Outfit ... er, the Inquisition.

The refugees had gone into hiding under the protection of an operator calling himself Fairbanks -- obvious to Maya that the name was as fake as a nobleman's hairpiece. Probably Ben-Hassrath, given the recent attempted hit on The Iron Bull. She'd have Leliana look into that.

The Freemen had four capos divvying up the Dales. The first, Sister Costeau, Maya took down without much of a fight. This didn't yield much loot, but it did gain the Inquisition a valuable veridium mine.

The second, a self-proclaimed "vicious thug" by the name of Commander Duhaime, was a bit of a tougher nut to crack. For one thing, the mook had obviously been juicing. He was twice as tall as Blackwall! Nothing a little Dorian fire and freakshow couldn't handle, though.

Spoiler

Two down, two more to go!

BTW, another first for me: One of the distractions Maya mentioned was rescuing Sutherland's Company. I had never progressed the Sutherland's Company mission line that far before. That was cool. The very last mission is running down it's timer as I type this. Interested to see what Sutherland has to say for his company after it's done.

Next it was off the the Western Approach. The problem with the wardens had already been dealt with but there was a lot more to do, darkspawn to deal with, bridges to build and rumors of a dragon.

I made her a bow with the fade-touched honeycomb that you find in the library and was disappointed because it casts bees around the archer not around the point of impact of the shot...
