Sera's alternative look is the best I think. Prowler mail with matching arms and legs...

Spoiler

I wish you could get her the matching helmet and collapsible bow from the concept art!

Spoiler

Edit: And for a mage, at least, I love the top-tier Inquisitor armour. Here's my current crew (I specced Bull as a tank, totally ignoring his specialisation tree, in order to try get him together with Dorian.) He's pretty good, actually.

Spoiler

I did that with Bull on my previous PT as I wanted a Bull/Sera/Dorian team and didn't want to tank myself. He did great, especially with tanky masterworks like Walking Fortress and Fade Cloak. I was tempted to do it again this time round as I'm not that keen on a two warrior team, but he's my Inquisitor's LI so I prefer him to be himself - all dragon ragey. Your team looks good  :D.

I discovered Hafter's Wood. After killing some mabari, wolves, outlaws, bears, demons, lyrium smuggler lurkers etc, it was time to travel to Val Royeaux. I watched how not-ser-Barris slapped the Chantry Mother in the face and then recruited Sera and Vivienne to Inquisition.

Also while I was adventuring in the Hinterlands I found an ax stuck to a tree... If this had been Skyrim I would have been able to pick up and equip the ax. Then I would have found the owner of that ax wandering in the nearby forest. "Oh, hello there. Have you seen my ax? I seem to have lost it." "Sorry, I haven't seen anything. Good luck finding it!" Then when he turns his back I kill him with his own ax and loot his body for his clothes. And drag the body to the nearest river and hope that I never see it again...

I'm considering going back 20 hours in my current DAO run just so I can kill Zevran in the first meeting.

Letting him join your group is unbelievably dumb. What little he can offer isn't worth the risk. It is even worse because one of my character's defining traits is being a careful person.

I didn't know you can start Descent from the Storm Coast, in the Lyrium Falls cave. I usually just "Venture Forth" from the War Table directly.

Spoiler

It's a good thing this alternative is available, because my mods kept crashing Descent on load. I spent about an hour figuring out which one was responsible, turning them off one at a time and in groups, and loading a save from the Storm Coast, right at that ladder, so I could try entering Descent again. If I had to use the War Table to enter Descent every time, it would have taken twice as long.

FWIW, I know for sure these mods crash Descent:

Katherine Face Texture

SK_Realistic_Hair_Retex

PJ Tinting Fix

I also know that at least one of these also crashes it. I turned them all on/off as a block, so not sure which one actually is the bad one, or ones:

No Dirt Buildup

HD Eye Textures

I went this way a few times. It feels nice to go to the Deep Roads the right way  B)

I believe No Dirt Buildup mod works with The Descent. I'm pretty sure I had it when I played with mods that one time.

Accepted an invitation from Madame Le Fer, Vivienne, to attend a dinner party. Was pretty shocked when she killed a minor drunk noble for insulting the Herald on his say-so, (Andraste's breeches!), right in the ballroom in front of the Maker and everybody. I didn't think she'd actually do it. This is a woman not to be trifled with.

Freya pretty much finished up the Emerald Graves (no dragon and bear cub killing though ).

She reported back to Fairbanks and then went on to investigate the mysterious and eerie Chateaux d'Onterre. She and her companions fought through a lot of undead trying to follow the clues, and ended up killing an Arcane Horror.

Spoiler

Afterwards they explored the Emerald Graves some more and then eventually entered Elgar'nan's Bastion, which lead them to an old Knights' tomb that held information about the history of the Dalish. Freya decided to give the history they had gathered there to the Dalish in the Exalted Plains.

Spoiler

After a long exhausting trip, Freya and her companions returned to Skyhold. She was craving some sleep in her own bed, but she knew there were some things waiting for her... dealing with Blackw-- Thom Rainier for one.

Got some really cute banter between Bull and Cole

Spoiler

Aaand Chateaux d'Onterre/Emerald Graves screenies :D I love the Chateaux, one of the best atmospheric places for me in the whole game.

Ahhhh....another victim___errr...DDDA gamer.

I am a sucker for all the classes in DDDA, but they did sort of give Warrior the short end of the stick. Only get to slot three skills (though their core skills are actually some of the best, and most damaging of the melee group). Have fun with it, and yes....MA/MK are beast vocations (BBI is much less knuckle cracking as an MA, that is for sure!). As for Sorcerer/Mage, Sorcerer is seriously powerful (spell-wise). To keep them balanced though, DDDA decided to go with long casting times, for each of the spells, which can make them quite vulnerable. (Oh, and if you didn't already know, don't use the Augment Inflection; it has been bugged since the console days, and actually causes 2.75 more damage per hit, than mitigating that difference. <_< ) It wasn't fixed back on the console, and I don't expect Capcom will fix it on the PC. Bastion and Fortitude still work as damage mitigators though, and you can just use one them instead (Bastion is in the Fighter tree, and Fortitude is in the Mystic Knight tree).

BTW, your Arisen, looks very much like my alt account arisen:

I know, the skill slots are limiting and irritating. I usually go for the ones that does dmg and entrenching mobs. I'm aiming for MK than a sorcerer because the main pawn is going to be that.

Shucks, the augment inflection is bugged? Hmm, I'll see if it's so on the PC although I don't think Capcom did much cleaning for it. After all, they didn't bother to add more save slots. I don't think they care, they just want to pull in the $$. I bought it because of the Steam reviews. I don't think I can trust Steam reviews after this, I'm going with AJ's game reviews. His reviews, I trust, because I know he tore games (I recently watched him and his friends played TC The Division for near 24 hours over three days so I have a very good idea of what the game is like) apart properly unlike others who just played for a couple of hours and just slap a good rating. This of course means, no pre-ordering, which is fine with me. He does previews too and plays them too if the devs give him a copy of the game but it's better to wait for him to do a proper review. Or just watch him play and have an idea.

I think your Arisen is much darker, a different shaped face and hair colour. It's no surprise there would be some kind of resemblance since faces are preset. No dough molding! At least there're good enough samples, facial and body adjustments. And better hairstyles. You hear that, Bioware?

I know OT! Tuning you back to the DA channel. I looooovvvee my female human warden.

Sorry for OT stuff....will put in spoilers.

Spoiler

AJ's review, as far as I know, is still the one he did for the vanilla version (console only) of the game, four years ago. Some of the complaints he had, were later addressed in the Dark Arisen expansion. But as with all things, YMMV. We all have our own tastes and preferences. :) Generally, I play BW games for the characters and interactions/rping with my PC's. I play Skyrim for the world that was created and the mods. And I play DDDA for the combat, builds, and loot. S'all good to me.

As for DAI, I did start another PT while I figure out what is going on with my self-insert. This time I am playing a true Andrastian Circle Mage, Petra Trevelyan. I haven't uploaded any shots of her yet, but she only just finished with the Pride Demon from the beginning. I will probably wait on her PT, since I have the self-insert, and a handful of other play throughs that need attention (I have a couple in various states of the different DLC's, including my M!Lavellan, F!Human (rogue), another F!Lavellan, M!Trev that is very close to finishing Trespasser, and my M!Adaar.

Why can't I just do one play through at a time??

Going into Trespasser, I am usually undecided on what choice to make at the end until I get to it. However, Neralah's conversation with romanced Rainwall has pretty much made the decision for her already.  Will post pics once I finish the DLC. Getting ready to head to the lyrium mine next.

Maya decided to document her travels as the Inquisitor. She worked with Dorian and Dagna to create a couple of enchanted Artificer contraptions to help with journaling. The first creates a painting of a scene very quickly, a "Coda-Chromatic Infusor" or "codachrome" for short. The second is an extensible articulation that holds the codachrome device far enough away so that Maya can include her face in the whatever she's capturing a painting of, so that posterity will know who was boss. She called it a "thyselfy stick".

This was her first attempt at capturing a painting, while taking her crew into the Deep Roads to investigate the mine collapse and earthquakes in the Storm Coast.

Spoiler

Just prior to that, Maya and her crew had a terrifying ride down a rickety mining lift.

Spoiler

Maya met with two of the local dwarves to discuss the situation. Their names were Renn and Stimpy.

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Spoiler

As it turns out, the local dwarves weren't the only ones upset about the earthquakes.

Spoiler

A couple more FlyCam shots, of those tantalizing ruins that can't be explored. Also a nice shot of Maya's tinted armor with modded Silk Brocade, and Viv photobombing.
