I kept the same party for each mission: Rainwall, Sera, and Dorian. This was the first time I'd taken Sera for any of them. I figured it was appropriate since she's kind of Rainwall's best friend. I also think it's much better to have the LI as companion in this DLC, especially when heading to the Darvaarad. I missed out in my last two games since I romanced Cullen and then Josie.
Heading to the Darvaarad. I quick-loaded to keep everyone from shuffling aimlessly, and then had companion spawn-point issues. I turned to face the mirror since they always pop out there, but instead they all spawned behind me. Surprise!
Dammit, Solas!
Love this fortress
Eh, interesting combat techniques
Done and done
To be continued....

Yeah...I probably shouldn't have worded it the way I did. It does make it sound like I don't like the Artificer Spec. In truth, I absolutely ADORE it. (I blame my love of Luka, in MP
). Had also played around with Varric (controlling him during battles) to get a feel for some of skills with the new toggles.
Yup! Very fun spec.
Oh, I didn't think that! I do agree it has one of the more annoying resources to have to get though. Took me forever to find alpha quillback # 3 since it was waaaaaaay over by the Coracavus entrance.

Cookies are fine, just don't get me started about cakes ...
<OM NOM NOM!!!>
Happy Pi day! A little late, but whatever... Have some pie and cake combined together! Garfield invented it ![]()

In keeping ties to Dragon Age, I've been writing more than playing the game lately. Also, I kinda wanted to speed up Ishira's run and get her married to Sera, BUT I still need to get Bull and Dorian to become boyfriends... ![]()

* I played as a Revan who had no idea she was Revan. Meh, I got spoiled about it long before I played the game, but SERIOUSLY, it gave me strength to know I was playing as a FRICKEN SITH LORD!
*My Revan is a good Light Side person who snarks a lot.
*Shes a Carth Romance. The other Kaidan (sighs) in existence

Another completed playthrough of DA2
I never used a mage at all for the entire Act 2. In Act 3, I only used Bethany for the Legacy and Assassin dlc's and fighting Meredith at the end

Sera always knows what's what
Spoiler
OK now I'm tempted to do all the romances just to see Sera's diary...
She's quite taken with the Viddasala....does she have this same reaction when in a romance?
Spoiler
Yes she does. If you have Cass in your party there's a banter immediately afterwards where she points out to Sera that the hot Qunari women are actually trying to kill her. She replies that they're just "candy" which makes the fighting more enjoyable. If romanced, she'll add that she has better at home. I don't know if a similar thing happens with others...
Actually the banters between Cass and Sera in Trespasser are rather sweet:
There's a clear friendship and mutual respect, despite their differences.

What the heck happened here, and where are my cookies, dammit!

I had to look up the Tiniest Cave ... whaaaaaaaaaaattt? I thought the Ardent Blossom was only a mod!
The Tiniest Cave quest... Or "How do I avoid Great Bears and... why is a Giant here?!" quest.
Either way, now I expect you to do that quest with every Quizzy ![]()

Also the "HOW many flights of stairs do I have to go down?" quest. Heavy risk, but the priiiiize...
Edit: What I want to know is who found out about it? You don't just go jumping on a tiny cave 50 times for a laugh... Was it hidden in the files somewhere? Did someone at BioWare leak it?

Jumping 50 times on that tiny cave is fun, makes me wonder who lives inside it.
And why the devs came up with that idea, must have been when they went out for beer. ![]()
Just watched The Witcher 3 'movie'. I nearly fell asleep because the whole lot of cutscenes ring up to 13 hours. I was shocked. I fast forwarded some sections because the story was rather long winded or rather a very long chase as the missions kept leading to something else. Geralt can't move forward, do-this-I-will-then-tell-you-what-you-want-to-know, because they cannot be skipped.
Anyway, if you're not going to play the game, there's always the mini movies to watch. The VA for Ciri sounded so familiar I couldn't place her voice for several minutes. She turned out to be the VA for female Hawke in DA II.
I kept expecting Ciri to do something familiar. ![]()

Not me, my level-capped canon IQ was still too poor to afford it. But I watched videos of other people using it. It has a cool animation -- very Cthulhu.

I'm all but certain though there's still something hidden in the Temple of Mythal with the invisible "chiming" tiles strewn across the area...

Quick question to any/all willing to answer? Who has done WE&WH before Abyss, how often do you do it first (if you have more than two play throughs), and which (and why) do you prefer doing one first before the other?
I have reasons for asking this....
I always do WEWH before Adamant. Well, mostly. I kind of hate it. Well the whole fake masked Orlesian BS that said mission entails. I like to get that mess out of the way.

Going up/down so many flights of stairs sort of reminds me of the Haiku Stairs in Hawaii.

Good question, I can't remember if there were invisible tiles "downstairs"... There's an oddball one on a climbable tree in the courtyard.

Wait.....I got this in my little chest in the undercroft. Why did I get this (and a freaky monster staff and dagger)? Was it included in some kind of DLC? I do have all of them. Never tried to use any of them.....now I feel a strange itchin' to do so.
Are you sure? It should only be available in Trespasser... Are you thinking of the Sword of Charris Allied?
In other news, Adoribull still hasn't happened for me this PT despite taking Dorian and Bull together for most of Emprise du Lion and all of The Hissing Wastes. Does normal banter still happen in The Frostback Basin?

Ahhhh! Yes! That was what I got. Thank you for clearing that up. So where does one purchase the "Cthulhu" weapon?? You say in Trespasser, so is it from that store at the Winter Palace, or the "skeleton" store, where you can get the Defender shield (I think that is the name of the shield....
As for your question about the Frostback Basin, I was actually going to suggest that you go there next. I got one Adoribull started in that very map.

I have reasons for asking this....
I did WEWH first in this PT for the first time, because Greed's and Dorian's romance advanced so fast, they could've had sex already, but I wanted to take it slow AND I wanted to have the dance at the Winter Palace first.
At the same time I didn't want to wait till I finished Here Lies the Abyss, so I decided that Greed would go first to the party and then make his way into the Fade.
Ugh, this thing is gross

I haven bought it and probably won't, cause my crafted stuff is much better.
But, as I said elsewhere, it reminds me very much of Soul Edge from Soul Calibur

Yes. And at an accelerated rate, IMHO. Last time I played, got all of their banters fairly quickly there. Have Sera in your party for additional LOLS. Also, are you locked into a relationship with someone? If you are not, the banter will never happen. The game will reserve Dorian/Bull for you.
