Getting the hang of standing still. Yes, I'm on the mage stage in DDDA. What I've seen so far . . .

What's the similarity between the mages of DAI and DDDA? Well, both have the basic fire, ice, barrier spells. Fire barrage, calling down boulders from the sky, creating walls of fire and ice.

What's the difference between the two? No spirit magic in DDDA. The mage can melee with the staff. I haven't figure out why the spell set into the staff would suddenly turn into 'guided missiles', it's usually line up shots. But after I do a high magic skill, the guided missiles will pop up. It could be a spell set by a pawn tho.

There's some sort of lightning lash / whip. It's akin to that lashing spell the elven warrior mage used in the ESO trailer. It can't hook on but it can toss the mobs off their feet. If you get interrupted, lightning will strike on the mob that caused it.

In DAI, if a mage jumps off a ledge high enough, you get landing dmg or die. In DDDA, if you've trained the skill, you float to the ground, leaving the mob stuck at the edge. Oh they can path to you but that delay buys time. I'm more than happy to blast them off though. :D

Because I ran the PC through the fighter, strider and mystic knight stages, she stood up very well against physical attacks. The DDDA class system is pretty good, BW ought to look into it.

I respect that.  I romanced her and it felt like romancing my little sister and then I saw her boobs and was uncomfortable with it! :)  She is so like a kid sister type in my mind that seeing her as a romantic partner was weird - so I might flirt with her but I'll never actively romance her again.  But, that's my hang up.  And it's just her I have the issue with. Maybe it's because she is so young and I'm almost 40?  In my mind my Inquisitor is always 34 or so.  Old enough to have experienced life but young enough to still enjoy it.

I'm 41. *cough*  This inquisitor isn't, though. I imagine her as a young elf with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to experience what the world has to offer. In my mind she was made Keeper's first because she loves to learn and study and is good at magic, but also that thirst for knowledge lead to a wish to understand the different cultures of Thedas, which is why she jumped at the chance to attend the conclave. To her, Sera started off as a part intriguing curiosity to be understood (she's unlike any other elf that she'd met before) and part antidote to all the seriousness surrounding her. A relationship grew from there...

As I say, Sera's nothing like anyone who I've ever had a real relationship with (absolutely nothing at all like my wife, other than they both have short hair) but maybe that's why I like her. RPGs allow you to experience things without having to suffer real-life downsides. ;)

Weirdly it was Cassandra's romance scene that put me off, not Sera's. I like the idea that she's a romantic as a friend, but buying the flowers and reading her poetry? Not my thing. I find Sera's really sweet, as she's so happy that the Inquisitor is publicly accepting her for who she is. Something she's in dire need of as she hasn't really felt it all her life. That's the thing with Sera, there's more to her than people give her credit for. By the time you get to Trespasser, she's beginning to grow, and it feels like the effort that's been put into the relationship is paying off...

I decided I wanted to do all the romances (except Josephine because I think she's boring), because I've only done Cullen, Dorian and Sera so far. So that means I'll be going into the Hinterlands for at least 4 more times. I've made an awesome dwarf for Iron Bull and he's trying to survive the Temple of Sacred Ashes right now. Though knowing myself he'll probably end up with Dorian :')

Strangely, I found Josephine's romance to be much more rewarding than Cassandra's, and I really wasn't expecting that after my first playthrough... I know what you mean about going back to the stuff you already know that you like, though...

In Adoribull news, I'm tearing my hair out! Surely they must exhaust all the individual banters they can each have with Sera soon!

I've yet to romance Cass.  It took too much work.  And Dorian was flirting with Rafael so hard (the inquisitor I had initially reserved for Cass).  I couldn't help myself.  Dorian is way easier to love (from a doing the work to get the relationship started standpoint.  I kind of feel like Sera is the same way Cass is.. difficult to get started.. and I'm into instant gratification.  Or something).

Mina met Stroud and his epic mustache in an overly-moist cave...

10304_10153437530151088_9169016168295585

Anyhow..  Apparently I gained some followers after the whole  Tevinter ritual tower bit (fun fact - when I did bull's personal quest, Gatt died and Bull and Mina were talking to no one.  When I did this quest, Hawke and Stroud passed out immediately as soon as the demons/wardens attacked.  They were both level 12 and the enemies were 22 with the  trial on that makes them more difficult.  As it was they almost took out Mina and IB as well with whatever mojo they used.  I keep killing NPC companion chars)!

The first time I romanced Sera, I felt that she was too young for my Inquisitor. The lady ended up with Josephine instead and that worked out, because they were both mature and shared the same values.

Ishira, my DW Artificer, she clicks with Sera. They're both young, crazy and turn things upside down, because YOLO!

I'm picky with who I pair my Inquisitors with, because I'm always looking to see if it's going to work or not. If no one suits my Inquisitor, then they stay single. Nothing wrong with enjoying life solo ;)

One time, I found out I got a job from the people I was going to be administrative assistant for before the offer was actually conveyed to me.  This must be like that.  Clearly they all know something that you don't!!

Well, after fighting with Imgur yesterday and today to get Trespasser pics uploaded.....screenshots!
Cass isn't quite sure of the name of Nery's boyfriend :P

Spoiler

Reunited - spoilers for Blackrainwall romance
Spoiler

Nery had two extra options for Bull's birthday, one for dwarf and one for warrior. I'd used warrior before, so went with dwarf this time.
Spoiler

Sera always knows what's what
Spoiler

I believe the spa is missing a cheese wheel?
Spoiler

Ugh, this thing is gross ....has anyone bought/used it?

Looks like one post won't be enough again

I never use that one weapon, for one thing it's a lot of gold and by that point my characters already have super powerful weapons as is. I don't know if I'd want to swing around a weapon that's made out of what looks like flesh and a jaw with teeth.

Oh, you guys. All that Sera romancing talk made me want to do it. I was playing around with the idea before, but now I really want to try it out asap!

Freya did not do much today, but before dealing with serious business at Skyhold, she returned to the Emerald Graves because stuff. Like checking out this tiny cave for the first time. Good thing she already had the 10 Crystal Grace Flowers.

Spoiler

Or killing bears :D

Spoiler

Or watching cute nugs doing their thing for around 15 minutes which triggered 2 banters  I got the start of Bull's and Solas' chess match, and Bull called Solas a smug a*shole  :o

Yesterday I decided to load up my female qunari's last game. Jaega is an archer tempest, romanced Bull, and has already done JoH.

Spoiler

All that's left for her is Descent and Trespasser. I took stock of her inventory (unfortunately, the mod didn't work while I was playing her game so she is limited to 90 item capacity <_<), rearranged and upgraded potions, and sync'd her with the nug to dl everything I'd added since the last time. Basically all the good stuff from Trespasser. :D Haven't decided if I want to craft new armor/weapons yet. I might just for lulz.

She is the only one of my quizzys who didn't recruit everyone. Vivienne's invitation was ignored, so Jaega has the balcony all to herself.
Spoiler

She also didn't do Revelations, so Blackwall will be a no-show once I get to Trespasser. I expect her party for both DLCs to be Bull, Dorian, and maybe Cole. Cass is Divine is this run.

^ Exactly what Melbella said. I'm sure we don't have Crystal Grace seeds.

Really? Ghoul's Beard but not Crystal Grace? That makes me sad.

Not to mention how silly it is to have "seeds" for Deep Mushroom ... not a lot of mycologists or biologists on Bioware retainer ...

I think they actually changed that one to "spores."  :)

Ugh....loaded up the game today and thought something was amiss when the "continue" option wasn't on the main menu. Next thing I know, I'm trying to search but instead running into the wall every time I hit the E button. My settings were reset to Default again! :pinched: I have NO idea how this happens?!

Maybe it's related to the issue I had just now?

It kept disconnecting me from the DA Servers.  <_<

"You are not connected to the Dragon Age Servers. etc blabla"

---

Greed went deeper down than before until he reached the Bastion of the Pure. Nice place. Or as Dorian liked to say "Look at that. Like stars at the night sky."

They went through a hidden tunnel and ended up infront of a cliff.

Spoiler

After this unexpected royal encounter, Greed found another hidden tunnel. Sadly the only thing waiting for him there, was an Arcane Horror and a horde Cretahl.

Spoiler

Having enough from those not-so-shortcuts, Greed & Co went further down, ending up infront of a large barricade.

After they had fought themselves through a horde of Sha-Brytol they set up camp and took a break.

Spoiler

They made their way further down to the Wellspring. Valta wondered where the Titan they were searching could be, when it suddenly dawned on Greed.

Spoiler

---

Actually I thought I could finish the DLC today (except for some Descent table missions, cause, you won't believe it, I don't have enough Power to do them  ) but Greed & Co kept dying. Wondered why.

In the last group of Sha-Brytol, nearly everyone's Elite.  <_<

Seems I have to disable Walk Softly....  -_-

I did get disconnected recently, but I don't think it was yesterday, so I'm at a loss. Local settings shouldn't be affected by something like that anyway, but with this game, who knows? I made a copy of my profile files today, just in case.

What difficulty are you playing? Your party is kind of squishy for the toughies, especially if they are promoted. Do you have Aegis of the Rift yet (and upgraded)? It really helps against the bolters. I decided to go for (relatively) easy mode this time: I'm on Normal with just Walk Softly turned on. No sense using the rest since Jaega is already maxed out on xp and enemies auto scale in Descent and Trespasser.

I'm glad they fixed the deep mushroom bit because I farmed and farmed and farmed for hours trying to get some damn spores/seeds for it.  My first PT I had so much deep mushroom.  Ah memories.

Mina did some stuff in the fade last night but I forgot to upload my pictures so you'll all have to wait with baited breath until tomorrow.  LOL!

Janet Trevellyan killed the Puppet Master, claimed the last couple shards in the Graves, and rounded up the last note for Before the Dawn.  I know why I always save the one in giant territory for last.  Sometimes I have better luck than others picking off broncos before I get to the giants, but not today.

Spoiler

Giant and bronco dispatched, she grabbed the last note and made tracks for Skyhold.  Exploring the land of the giants is best left for another time.  Maybe I'll wander to the Oasis and open a couple more doors then find the miner's ring.

True. I never changed the default settings, so I don't know if that ever happened in my game.

I play on Hard (switched after Normal was too easy) with Even Ground, Walk Softly and Take It Slow enabled. The Team is on Lvl 17 and I haven't done JoH yet, so no Aegis of the Rift. Here you can see my skills.

Spoiler

I actually didn't have that many problems so far, the only enemies that keep killing me are the Bolters, because they kill my guard (and then my HP) before I reach them.  <_< (totally forgot I have Grappling Chain, should've tried to pull a Bolter to me )

When I get my next Skill Point, I want to switch out Ring of Pain for Earthshaking Strike.

Adoribull latest: I was getting perilously close to finishing the main Frostback Basin map and towards the point where I kick off the endgame of the DLC and have to swap Bull for Cass in order for her to meet Ameridan, so I decided to wander Swamp Kuldsdotten looking for Imbued Tuskets. Got two Bull/Dorian banters and I'm finally at the point where Dorian has been to Bull's room... Also I have some nice leather:

How often do the Imbued Tuskets spawn, by the way?

Oh, good! Once they start the rest should happen fairly quickly (hopefully :?).

As for the mats....no idea. By the time I get to JoH, I'm usually only killing non-quest stuff because it's in my way (random Hakkonites) or keeps attacking me (spiders). I farm veil quartz and then don't even use it or, I do use it and then the masterwork material overrides the color and I have to re-tint anyway. Using the nug has really kinda spoiled that part of the game (no, I'm not going to not use it ). I can craft armor and weapons while still at mid-level and use them for the rest of the game.
