It's surprisingly fun.  Playing as a Keeper is the best.

Yeah, I played Keeper first - but I must say that I'm enjoying my Elementalist and my Arcane Warrior. I'm a bit of a mage nut, though.

So....my über BFF Vivienne asked me for a favor. The heart of a snowy wyvern. Of course I did not even asked why I just said "darling but of course.....shall we then dine on its liver with some antivan chianti?"
Then proceeded to go reaver rampage on the overgrown lizard's ass....tore its heart out with my teeth (I think Varric got sick....poor man) then still not completely sated of blood I Marched on and took on the stormrider.

Vivienne was pleased

Bkackwall turned out NOT a gray warden. I swear my sigh and my eye roll were of epic proportions. Got him freed....gave him his freedom....them made him a dragon bone battlemaster armor to make him feel better.

Oh....the defeated grand duchess is now one of my agents. I trusted her and she DID NOT betray me!....wow....I have to stop drinking with bull, it's becoming a problem, next time I might do something even MORE stupid.

She is like Josephine's evil reflection.

Am I a bad person for findind my fiancee's evil reflection to be.....ahem......stimulating. And by stimulating I mean I would very much love to have both of them in my bed?

Ahem...anyway

As for what I was actually doing today...I finally got back to the shop in the Hissing Wastes and bought up all the upgrade schematics and one schematic for mage robes - all of which almost completely emptied my Inquisitor's bank account. I'm either going to have to make Cullen, Leliana, and Josephine work a lot harder at earning gold, or I'm going to have to sell one of my Inquisitor's kidneys (well, maybe someone else's kidney - ooh, I know - Erimond would probably be a good choice since I totally hate him).

I can let you have custody of the mayor of Crestwood for awhile if you like. He's spending his remaining days in a Fereldan prison somewhere, wishing he had drowned with everyone else.

Too bad he can't be an agent for the Inquisition

In my case, I ended up handing him over to the Wardens - poetic justice and all that!

I'm really sorry, Varric...

Spoiler

For everything that happened there.

Spoiler

I can't replace her. No one will ever replace her in your heart. But I'll try to be here for you. For times like this. I always consider you as my friend.

Spoiler

I'll miss her too. She's very special to me. She holds a dear place in my heart.

Spoiler

To have a friend is wonderful. To lose one in such way, especially your best one, is like losing a part of yourself. I know what you've been through. I lost one too last year. Let's hope that one day, you will meet her again. I know I will meet mine again, when the time will come.

I executed him in my first game. First and only execution I carried out. Had a major GoT flashback, heh.

This is my plan for this PT as well. I crafted a world state with a Hawke I would never play as in DA2, heh, just so I could try this out.

That one's my canon Hawke. Well, just say it's a proper ending for her... And Fenris will come to Skyhold. And there'll be bloodbath I can tell you. The thing is, it's either Hawke, either Alistair. After receiving letter from Hero of Ferelden so that "I take care of Alistair"... well I just can't...

Did you just made yourself a Big Bad Hawke?

Anyway that's the wonder of DA Keep!

In my last playthrough I left maleHawke in the fade.  I will not leave femHawke in the fade in any playthrough. I like her voice

I did  ...agressive male warrior Hawke, who romanced Anders. This would never happen when I played DA2, because I always play a sarcastic Hawke, most of the time a femHawke, and I really dislike DA2 Anders. Awakening Anders was alright, but in DA2 I just want to punch him in the nose as soon as I meet him, whatever kind of Hawke I'm playing, whoever the love interest is.

My male Dwarven sword and board met corypheus for the first time today and then settled into skyhold and my female human rogue archer went for a stroll along the storm coast killing some darkspawn, sealing the holes they came out of (well technically Vivienne did that since I needed a mage for that) and sealed a rift.  Had to listen to Vivienne mouth off to Blackwall a couple of times though what the hell did he ever do to her?  (No his big secret hasn't been revealed yet in this playthrough)

Just asking because with her doing femHawke's voice and also feminq is it like talking to yourself?

I thought the duchess was kinda hot, too, in a way. The weird part is, I think she looks even better as Skyhold's court jester... but, uhh, maybe that's just me.

Today I hired Florianne de Chalons as an agent for the Inquisition.

She is actually extremely cute and charming, isn't she? She will be a good agent.

Maybe many people would execute her on sight, but I hate wasting good ressources when I find them.

What outcome would you have chosen?

Harold is the luckiest inquisitor in Thedas today. That he is the only inquisitor in Thedas isn't the point. His day started like many of his days do; a morning chat with Cassandra down in the courtyard of his castle. His castle. He still couldn't believe Skyhold was his, even though technically it belonged to all of them in the Inquisition. That is also not the point. While Cassandra beat the stuffing out of a practice dummy with a sword, she talked about some task that needed doing -- and there were alot of those -- or how much she'd love to toss Varric off the tallest of Skyhold's towers, or sometimes she described the latest events of Swords and Shields, and Harold? He just listened, and made noncommital noises in all the right places, and wondered if she had any other scars he didn't know about.

Today Cassandra seemed genuinely upset, however. Some of her old Seeker friends have disappeared, and she wanted help in locating them. Inwardly Harold cursed because all his advisors were busy gathering coin and herbs and other resources. Crap. He assured her that Leliana would make it her top priority as soon as she could and left her to her practicing. Did she hit the practice dummy a little too hard when he said that? Crap.

He spent the rest of the morning in Undercroft making new gear for everyone, waiting for Leliana to get back with that elfroot. When she did, he told them about Cassandra's problem and pretended not to notice the three of them trying not to snicker at how obvious he was trying not to be about her. Crap. Time to go have a beer with the Bull and wait for Leliana to report in again.

Harold loved his tavern. The minstrel was playing a catchy little instrumental tune that, for some reason he couldn't quite put his finger on, reminded him of that elf he kicked out of the Inquisition a while back... the mouthy one who hated nobles. What was her name? Jenny? No, that wasn't right. Oh well it would come to him.

Bull was drinking with his company, The Chargers. What a great bunch. Stitches the healer, Dalish the mage/not-mage, Rocky the bomb-guy, Grim, who didn't talk much, Skinner who was kinda scary, and Krem, who was a lot more than he seemed to be. The only thing Harold could say against them is that not one of them could sing, but that didn't stop him from wanting to go adventuring with them sometime.

...

Leliana had a lead on the missing Seekers, so Harold and Cassandra and Bull (without the Chargers <_< ) and Vivienne went looking for them. A short walk through the country and a brief but satisfying battle with Lucius later, and they were back in Skyhold. The whole time Harold couldn't stop thinking about that scar on her cheek, and all the other possible scars she might have, and he even caught her staring thoughtfully at him while he filled some bad guy full of arrows. There was definitely something happening between them.

Back in Skyhold, Harold confronted her about it, sort of. In the middle of finding out some very interesting things about the Tranquil, Cassandra said she was aware of all his not-so-subtle flirting attempts, and confessed that while she didn't always show it, she had a heart full of passion just like anyone else, and that she was a hopeless romantic who wanted to be properly courted.

Courted.

Flowers. Candles. Poetry.

Crap.

There was a bookseller in Redcliffe wasn't there?

...

There was a bookseller in Redcliffe, but he'd had all his books stolen somewhere out in the Hinterlands, so  while they -- they being Harold, Bull, Blackwall and Dorian -- were tracking down the elusive poetry book, they killed some venatori for Dorian and made him happy. At least finding the candles and flowers in Val Royeaux was a lot easier than the book of poetry, and that's including the assassins who were trying to kill Josephine. And Cassandra didn't know anything about it. Score.

Back in Skyhold, Cassandra tried to downplay the courting thing, so Harold distracted her by asking about the Tranquil again. She seemed a little disappointed, but as always she took her duties seriously. He admired her commitment to helping newly-untranquilled mages have normal lives again, but enough was enough. He told her to meet him outside the castle walls in the only place for miles around that wasn't covered in snow.

And he recited a sappy love poem to her.

She couldn't believe it.
Spoiler

He had to admit, she was a much better chooser of love poems than he was.
Spoiler

Yep. Luckiest inquisitor in Thedas.

How would you have chosen the outcome?

She was the inquisition's new court jester in my first game. Sera liked the idea, so that meant Inky liked the idea, too.

Haven't got there in my second game yet.
