Yeah I've definitely seen it more often there, but I seem to remember having seen it in Skyhold too. Could be my memory playing tricks on me, though...I usually only have that happen at Haven, either when I reload the game or travel there from somewhere else.
What Did You Do Today (in the DA 'verse) ? .... oops ;)

Thanks for the answers folks.
I will start the dlc when I get to level 16. I need to get to the Forbidden Oasis to cash in the shards I've collected.

Just can't decide who I should take into the Fade.
Defintely Dorian.
I want to take someone different this time, also I don't want to take Solas. (I always take him to the Fade, always <__<)
I thought about Blackwall, but who as third? Cole? Sera? Bull? (I won't take Viv, she has nothing to ad)
Who I already took with me into the Fade (in all my other PTs) Solas, Cole, Cass, Varric, Dorian, Sera
So Blackwall and Bull are the only ones who never got to see the Nightmare.
Bull and Blackwall are both good choices. Taking Bull makes his freak-out "hit me with a stick" session afterwards make more sense, and Blackwall being a :cough:Warden:cough: makes his stint with the Inquisition seem to have a purpose.
I think at this point I've taken everyone at least once and only Vivienne was a disappointment, considering she had more to say if she didn't go (being envious) than if she did (which was nothing
).

Good, then it will be three warriors and Dorian. .....poor Dorian ![]()
When I went into the Fade with Kiri I took Sera with me, the scene after the Fade in Skyhold was so funny ![]()
Yeah, I read about Viv being boring if you take her into the Fade
Which is why I'll never take her. She can be as envious as she wants, serves her right. ![]()

That's about as low as I would go, 16, if Nightmare and Walk Softly Trial. Make sure you craft Tier three gear with lots of crit.
Do you have Aegis of the Rift from JoH? If not, I suggest stopping at the second camp of Descent, before descending to the Forgotten Caverns, and doing enough of JoH to get Aegis. It will come in handy. You don't absolutely need it, but it makes things a lot easier.

If wanting some interesting dialogue from companions to take into the fade? Take Sera, Cole and Iron Bull. Some funny dialogue when I did it.

I'm playing on normal. I haven't started Jaws yet. I'll do that afterwards.
I was hoping to cash in my shards, but I ended up capturing Sulevin Keep. Doing that put me over level 16. I will craft some updated weapons and armor, and then head to the storm coast for the descent dlc.

ULLIA MINT TOOTH AND THE CLOWNING OF CORYPEHUS

Was a good playthrough. I was surprised to know and feel that playing a mage on NIGHTMARE wasn't all that hard as long as you build your character as either a powerful attack mage or a good defensive mage. I still got to make posts on my reccomendations for mage NIGHTMARE builds.
PS: I made a new character that I tried to make look like me. It's a Sw/Sh warrior Nightmare too. Pics will be up soon.

Running through three RPGs. Nuts right? Thing is the other two rpgs can be a bit boring since they don't have interesting NPC dialogues and banter so I waltz back to DAI now and then so as not to get too bored. I'm running this PT with a trial
Reached this point. Both Inq and Cass are offering their words from lofty postures while the revered mother is trying to generate sympathy by pretending she got stabbed instead of struck on the back of the head.
They are not amused.

I'm an old and I can't remember if I posted this stuff. From the Descent..
Obligatory cut.
You know, if Solas spent his time being all artsy instead of angsty none of this Inquisition stuff would have happened..

Get that camera out of my face. Can't you see I'm trying to get some rest?
Started the descent dlc. At this point I've only killed one dragon. The Frostback. Raan will make a comment about it. Don't know if he doesn't if a dragon hasn't been slain at that point.
I will finish the dlc later. So far I'm enjoying it

Before Greed went to the Western Approach, he had a date with a dragon.
Flying included.
Back in Skyhold he remembered that he had to speak to Viv and give her the Snowwyvern heart.
Turns out she needed it to help her lover.
Sadly it was too late for him. ![]()

As for Abel's run through Trespasser, I am befuddled once again. I could have sworn I got all the notes required to get the "YOUR Fen'Harel." option, with Solas. Buuuut, no dialogue option.
Quick side question (that probably belongs in the Combat/Strategy section): of those that play mages, how many of you tend to build with crit chance/crit damage in mind, or high attack %? What gear do you tend to craft for them? (if you are willing to divulge).
I ask since I have done both types of builds. Abel was an RM built for crit, and while he did fine, it was only normal difficulty without any trials toggled. However, I have a handful of playthroughs with trials on, and one of them is another mage (spec hasn't been chosen yet). I wonder if one build is a better fit for difficulty upgrade plus trials, over another? Of course, specializations may come into play.
I should also note, that I won't be choosing Necro for this latest mage. It wouldn't fit her rp-wise, in the slightest.
Sorry if this is too much of a derail. Feel free to ignore, if it is.

Finished Abel Trevelyan's trip through the looking glass, last night. Culling the herd continues...Samhal Lavellan is up next. I think. Or is it Ari Lavellan.
As for Abel's run through Trespasser, I am befuddled once again. I could have sworn I got all the notes required to get the "YOUR Fen'Harel." option, with Solas. Buuuut, no dialogue option.Considering the oddness of some of my Trespasser play throughs, I am considering reinstalling that DLC, and running a repair. Especially since I don't currently have any PC's with saves in that DLC, at the moment.

I tend to craft for a critical hit build if I can.
This gave me all sorts of joy.

For staff - Wrath of Lovias with Great bear in all of the leather slots. I also had two Superb rings of Critical Chance that I found in the Descent in that game. All his hits were critical hits and it made me giggle. So many critical hits. I think the base armor was not super critical hit inducing, but on the staff I also used the grip that has the leather slot, and the blade that also had the leather slot. Great bear on those too.
Mina is a necro this game so I've opted for Encore using a heal on hit/heal on kill build, but when I KE, Wrath of Lovias is your bestie.

I do admit, I tend to build with aiming for over %100 on crit damage, but that does mean I give up a higher percentage of crit chance. I will have to take a look at my last builds staff (plus armor, since I used medium armor for him), but I "think" my crit chance ended up around 60% with around 130% or so crit damage.
I still would love a comparison on the crit build vs. the attack% build, when it comes to higher difficulties + trials. Again, specializations and preferred spells/play styles would/could alter results some. But still would love to know peoples thoughts.
Sorry again for the derail, and thanks for posting. Very handsome Trev you have there!

When I play as a mage (doesn't matter which specialization), I usually build on high attack and critical damage. I use staff of corruption and masterwork archon staff with inscribed grip and battlemage staff blade upgrades.
Has anyone ever used the essence of perfection masterwork? I got that from the fade before fighting the nightmare demon. My dual dagger assassin is an OP goddess at level 18, so I wonder if it's any good to craft new weapons with it. And she'll be clearing Emerald Graves shortly...

I think I was only able to max Adam out at 61% for critical damage bonus in that game. But you trade one for the other it seems. I've never had 100% on both. I believe that Adam's game was on Hard with selected trials on. Most all games have some of the trials on. And generally hard is my default. Normal is too easy and nightmare with trials on makes me stabby. I'm no fun when I'm stabby. My husband and cat get scared. LOL.
Adam was pretty cute. Dorian was his boo. Anytime I roll a man it seems Dorian always ends up the love interest. Go figure.

I generally find that I'd rather have a more active masterwork than take the 10% stat boost. Maybe if it were 20% it might be more worth it to me. But I never feel that using it makes my staff or armor better than whatever other masterwork I prefer in the slot.

I tend to use Essence of Perfection to craft a special Dragonslayer bow for Sera. Combine this with Mighty Offense Tonic and tier three Thousand Cuts (plus Mark of Death from an Assassin rogue if you want to make certain) and you have a dead dragon.

I feel like they reused the animation for every character that got hurt in a cutscene
The Chantry sister <-- should hold her head
Cole if you make him more human <-- should hold his shoulder, not his stomach, if at all, cause it's not like he got physically hurt by Bianca not firing (except if they want to imply that he feels sick
)
Morrigan if she drank from the Well and fought the Red Lyrium Dragon. <-- the only chara where it somehow makes sense to hold her stomach
Edit: nearly forgot
Counselor Roderick <-- he got stabbed, he's allowed to hold his stomach
