Hell no. I told him to fornicate himself with a poleaxe.
That made me laugh far more than it should have. ![]()
The whole scene is fantastic. Cassie's behaviour throughout is just adorable -- initially kind of a speechless "Oh Maker, make him stop" and, "Oh Maker, let this moment never end" in equal measure. And he just keeps reading, getting more and more into it. And then she says (something like), "you had to choose that poem?" And he gives her the book and she starts reading a different one and he recites the last couple lines, at which point she turns around and they kiss and ...things progress.
Aww, this is melting my heart! Damn it, you're making me want to play a dude next, and I need to finish my last lady before moving onto Cass (and Dorian) goodness. I can't wait to see her acting all adorkable in a romance. She was cute enough when she pulled my Cadash aside to explain that things could never be between them, but she wanted us to be friends. *sigh* More than happy to be friends with you, Cassandra. ![]()
It was the same with my little elf mage, who flirted with her shamelessly until she finally said she could never return the feelings. That's when I knew a Cassie romance would be my next PT. Let's just say I'm not disappointed, and she has become a favorite companion, romanced or not. That made me laugh far more than it should have.

I'm out of likes again! Bah.

I'm not surprised, she's irresistible. Even if I wasn't interested before, seeing her get all embarrassed about the dirty book... well, if only we could get her a library full of them. ![]()

Hahaha, I actually found Lord Trifles Minutiae (or was it Trifle, singular...oh well) in one of the bedrooms outside in that wing through the door sort of near Vivienne and did the Quizqisition thing - it was hilarious. Haven't actually gotten to play much of the game for the last two days because work + friend streaming TLoU (
Joel) + playing DA:I MP with another friend.
I'm afraid that my Inquisitor and crew are cooling their heels in the Hissing Wastes - they might be fairly annoyed with me due to all the sand and the wind there, hehe.
So I am in Val Royeaux and finally reached level 5 just through collecting all the codex experience which are scattered everywhere. I got to meet Lucius and Fiona in the same place (what are the odds
) in a span of less than a few minutes.
I then did some companion recruiting which included an enchanter, a jenny, a warden and a bull. The inquisition is becoming a haven for an eclectic mix of associates. I spoke with these new people by examining every detail that I could (which used up a lot of my time today because I tend to listen to them again rather than skip over it).
Then, I went to the Hinterlands with the aim of levelling up to an overpowered state to defeat the Envy Demon. I had to try and calm the area down as Templar/mages are running rampant. I kill a couple and then just a few more steps further into the wilderness, there are another three and so on. I decided to attack the Templar stronghold first. I am surviving more with two mages in the party as they both can cast barrier. Still not good enough to take the Templar captain so I escaped by jumping off a cliff. I managed to get to level 6 so I am slowly getting there.

Very stealthy of you ![]()
Bohin Cadash has been to Emprise du Leon and driven out the Red Templars and claimed the Keep there, tried and sentenced the woman who sold the templars the mine and accepted payment for the lives lost, by forcing her to use her ill-gotten gold to rebuild the town.
He was making plans to head to the Emerald Graves when he caught Varric and Bianca discussing a leak to Corypheus for another source of Red Lyrium in the Hinterlands, so he's making a detour now.
Today I killed no less than 3 dragons on hard difficulty!
And I bought The Box.
A good day in Inquisition.
WAR NUGS!

Did all quests in the Fallow Mire. Nobody messes with my soldiers and gets away with it. Recruited the Sky Watcher
Collected shards from the Hinterlands and The Storm Coast.
Allied with the templars. Fought the Envy demon. I find him to be an easy boss to fight.
I closed the breach, but encounter the one responsible for all this, Corypheus. I manage to escape. If he wanted to kill me, why didn't he kill me when he held me in the air? Oh that's right. All villains love to hear themselves talk.
I meet up with everyone and Solas tells me to head north. Wow. Welcome to Skyhold.
I have been chosen to lead the Inquistion. I am now known as, Inquisitor. Cool.
Crestwood is all better now....no more undead, no more fade rifts, no more wyverns, and no more dragon. Even the sun came out finally. Still don't understand why the elves hid one of their demon-repelling artifacts in the Deep Roads, but it's working-as-intended (I guess) and Solas is happy. Sent soldiers to track down the shifty ex-mayor and sent him to prison in Denerim. No good choices there but you can't just kill people for their own good, not without consequences anyway.
Cassandra is reeling from the information we discovered about the Seekers. We were able to track down the real Lucius and really, he wasn't much better than the imposter. Maybe worse, actually. Hope Varric finishes that next installment of Swords and Shields soon....Cass needs something fun to read.
The date for the Empress' peace talks ball is coming up soon so we probably don't have time to trek out to the Western Approach just yet. Our second meeting with Hawke and Loghain will have to wait until the situation in Orlais is settled. We should have time for a couple quick trips though, both to the Storm Coast to meet with the qunari, and to close a few more rifts in the Hinterlands, down by where the dragon's made her nest.

Somebody's going dragon hunting... ![]()
After restarting the game nearly ten times, I've come to hate the Hinterlands deeply.
.
I can relate to that.
The Storm Coast is also extremely boring after doing it a couple of times.
Funny enough I think The Hissing Wastes is one of the best maps. Smashing atmosphere.
Second best map? I'd say The Winter Palace.
And then The Emerald Graves. The background music does its part.
Bohlin Cadash has killed two High Dragons today. One in the Storm Coast after destroying the Red Templars stationed there, and one in Emprise Du Leon, and he was being driven nuts by all the dragonlings that kept coming in and nearly killing him. First time he used all 12 health potions and 5 regeneration potions. He docked Bull's pay because he kept dying.
Somebody's going dragon hunting...
Still waiting for the dragon's bane achievement to pop up. I wonder if it doesn't count dragons killed post-end game? If that's the case, I will need to kill (at least) 3 more this game to get it. ![]()

I killed all ten in my first game, but because it's bugged I didn't get the achievement. Someone said I just had to reload a old save and kill the last dragon over again, but I never got around to it. So far in this PT, Harold hasn't killed a dragon yet. Since I'm in the Western Approach now, the Abyssal High Dragon may be his first victim.
Cullen received a lovely response on the war table from an angry bard ("Go fall on your sword, you prat").
Cadash and team went on a visit to Val Royeaux, trying to track down Blackwall. While we were there, I noticed an awful lot of Orlesian nobles lying in the foetal position, so I'm not sure if I've missed a feast day, or if someone's been on a punching spree (Cass, is that you?). Since we have cash burning a hole in our pockets, I figured we'd buy the mystery item from the weird fella upstairs. It opens, and it's... a bronze nug. Is this a decoration for my house, or what? (I kind of want it to be). We get back to Skyhold later, notice a new operation on the war table and bam! Big motherf*cking nug to ride! Cadash a very happy girl.
It's rather funny, because shortly before, we were in the Flooded Caves in Crestwood, trying to find an elven artefact to cheer Grumpy up, when we spotted a little herd of nugs scuttling around.
Cadash: "At least the nugs seem to like it here!"
Vivienne: "My dear, I don't know what you find so fascinating about those things."
When she sees Cadash on this beauty, she's going to be rolling her eyes until they fall out of her head.
We also went to the Winter Palace. Didn't realise for an hour that Varric was behind a halla door, in a totally new area of the party. I love it when new stuff occurs on new playthroughs. Decided to make Celene ruler on her own this time, with Gaspard exiled. Cole was the only one who disapproved ('greatly', as well). I'm not sure why, but never mind. Freeing Sahrnia's villagers will cheer him up, and I don't even need to bring him for it. Sentenced Florianne's remains to community service (I've been waiting a whole playthrough to do that!), and I'm pretty sure Sera greatly approved. Marvellous. I see cookies in our future!
I finally decided to do the Tomb of Faivrel stuff. Ignored it on my first two playthroughs because of the whole map thing. Don't do treasure maps. But Cadash is a dwarf and Varric is her chum, so I thought they'd have interesting stuff to say. Definitely worth it, and we picked up some lovely gear. Had to fight the Sandy Howler, but now that I've discovered the wonders of a dual-wielding Tempest, and Vivienne's Knight Enchanter glory, nothing can stop us. Seriously, VIv can cut through guard like butter, and she never dies. Poor Varric though, was asleep most of the time. I don't mind Cadash and Vivienne carrying the whole team. It's a bonding experience!
Lastly, it seems Leliana was able to use Cadash's shady contacts to free Rainier from prison. At least Josephine didn't have to dirty her hands this time. What we'll do with him though, is anyone's guess.
On the way to open the floodgates of the dam in Crestwood, there's an old pub called The Rusted Horn. When we got there, a couple of the locals were inside, having snuck away for a romantic interlude away from prying eyes. Upon seeing them, Vivienne uttered a very frosty, "charming," in the way only she canCullen received a lovely response on the war table from an angry bard ("Go fall on your sword, you prat").

Don't bring any archers into a dragon fight. Well, unless you want to micromanage them constantly. I fought the Western Approach dragon with a same lvl party consisting of Archer Inky, archer Sera, Cass and Viv, and the archers were constantly getting right next to the dragon to shoot at it. I think it was because of Leaping Shot, so the AI just felt compelled to get up close and personal to use that ONE ability and then stay within clawing distance afterwards. Burned through most of my health potions in one minute flat.
Knight-Enchanter Viv and Cass to draw aggro is more than enough. A bit tedious, but it gets the job done.
Just my two cents ![]()
(Right, so my opinion might be a bit biased based on that one fight and the Artificial Stupidity during said fight. Plus, my archer builds weren't exactly optimal...)
I noticed Sera was quite often the first one to die during dragon fights in my first PT. I just figured it was because she didn't have any guard or barriers of her own, but I guess it's just from being an archer. This time through Harold is my only archer, so I'll be micromanaging him anyway, heh.Don't bring any archers into a dragon fight. Well, unless you want to micromanage them constantly.
