I have a deep love of the "hat of the inquisitor" for both archer rogues and mages, but yeah, I like to craft Cole, Vivienne and Blackwall their specific headgear. In Blackwall's case I think it goes well with the Griffon Plate and Shield.

That would have been a very good choice. Again, if they felt the need to bother.

I have used the Overlord Schematic to make my own versions of the Helm of Drasca, and it does clip on a couple of other companions. Mainly Blackwall and Varric, to a degree. On most females, it looks like their head is swimming in it. Stats are nice though. Style often takes precedence over practicality, when it comes to headwear. Primarily because I do generally leave the "Helmets On". So lots of Mage hoods, Helm of the Inquisitor for Cass, and the "cowboy hat" for Dorian and Varric. Cole, Viv and Blackwall, keep their starting helms. They don't seem quite right without them...well, to me. Occasionally I like using the Orlesian Masks, from WE&WH's, on both Sera and some of my female Inquisitors.

Small changes like that would've made a difference. I like that in Trespasser, you can choose an outfit for your Inquisitor to wear while catching up with companions, attending the first part of the exalted council and meeting with the advisors. The only downside is wearing that ugly crimson red uniform at the very beginning and end.

For the winter ball, I get that they were trying to get the Inquisition to look cohesive. But again, the Inquisitor should've worn a different coloured outfit or added ranking braids/medals to the sash to make him/her stand out as a leader.

About hats and helmets, I have Cassie wear either Duke's mane or Orlesian army helm to match her Seeker armours. Sera wears the fancy Orlesian masks; Blackwall has the Warden Commander helm; Vivienne, Bull and Cole wear their respected hats. Dorian will wear Ameridan's dragon hunter helm that goes with his flashy mage robes, and the majority of my Inquisitors wear helm of the Inquisitor.

My first stop after the cutscenes are over is the wardrobe to change into something....anything!....else.

I feel that way when I first get to Skyhold, although the Inquisitor's room isn't available first thing when you get there (construction and repairs and all).   :pinched:

But I also really want to go on making screenshots in DAI.

Wow. That middle one from the ground looking up into a rift closure is spectacular. Good eye!

You found my favorite cheeseteregg. Love those little guys. Bloody hard to get up there, though.

Well, I am usually using a jammy mod so that's not quite as high a priority. And, since the PJ mods don't work in Trespasser, I can still use the wardrobe to change out of the tin soldier outfit asap. I usually just pick one of the other colors since the style itself is fine. But that color combo......not so much!

Currently in Lothering, about to enter the tavern. I left Morrigan at camp so she wouldn't freak out when Daria reached a compromise between the merchant and the Chantry sister. Also, probably better to not parade her around in front of all the Templars in town.

Well another all-consuming evening spent adventuring. I am REALLY loving this game and am rather amazed by how much its pulling me in. And to call it vast is such a massive understatement (my first playthrough). I just rang level 15 and am having a blast. Im bummed that I didnt make, like ANY good Hinterland choices way back when, which would have helped me get deft hands- so that bites Orc plugs. But all in all, I'm having a ton of fun. Kinda wish I wasnt leveling so fast, which is crazy.

Today, after LOTS of FOCUSED effort, the Templar tower went up, this in spite of my main being a mage, which wraps up the three main lego, uh, building projects. The rendering still drives me a tad batty, like whistle whistle whistle- ok, castle rendered, cool. But I love their attention to detail, a nice steady slow drip which is awesome for immersion. Like when I got back from, you know, being all YO- DA INQUISITOR ROLLING THROUGH SAVING YOUR BOOTY tour, there were fire buckets everywhere inside the main throne room. I was like, were those there? *Look up old screenshots NOPE! A nice moment.

Also did my first death sentence, I play my decisions as I would really rule, which means ice cream and good bourbon throughout the land. But the Mayor dude, nah, had to ice him.

Spoiler

After getting the tower built, I had to get the peeps in my new remote, totally bad ass fort WATER. So got that done. Wandered around The Hinterlands chasing toons from quests that I had already completed, to not have to spend so many INQ PERKS to get deft hands, only to find out I had already blown all those opportunities. So AWKWARD. "Does The Inquisitor seem a tad lost to you?" SHUT UP VARIC!! And for the record, anyone else think Cass is Arnold Schwarzenegger's long lost daughter? Anyways... this is Cass IRL

Spoiler

So I'm left with only two secrets perks agent recruiting, at my level, with two options to save INQ perks. One involves killing a level 14 dragon at the end of a long quest line, and the other involves a much longer quest line (that sounds cool), so tomorrow or the next night, that. Met the delicious, I mean, my lovely ambassador Josephine in Eyes Wide Shut land- took out the GOT assassin dude right out da box. YOU SHALL DIE! And not with a small axe, because, LAUNDRY BILLS and endless sawing... "uh, promise, you'll be dead soon".

OH... OH ... and I picked a lot of flowers for Dailish. BAM!

That's useful, as a console player though the pajamas must be endured for a short while at least. The soldier outfit is fine, but after having the red color for all of Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts the other colors certainly are more appealing, for me at least.

I first knew Miranda Raison as Jo Portman in the BBC show Spooks (known as MI5 in the states). Back then she looked more Cass-like (Just dye the hair and give her some dark contacts.)

She was also a badass warrior in a couple of episodes of Merlin...

Speaking of RL models. I half wonder Bioware didn't trot out a few for DAI; human, elf, dwarf, qunari during promos. They did it with an asari for a ME promo, I think. :D I like this particular Drakan model.

I read somewhere you can delete the crimson red uniform after swapping for your armor to explore places such as the servant's wing. Inky will end up wearing their Skyhold outfit. I've seen videos of Inky in the ugly beige pjs during this quest, but now that there are wardrobe choices... I'm going to try and see if I can get one of my Inquisitors to default to the black uniform if I trash the red one. I'll post a pic if it works.

My newest Inquisitor, Medusa Trevelyan, a warrior
Spoiler

This playthrough I will only use Varric, Solas ans Cassandra. None of the other will be recruited. Most likely I won't romance anyone. The purpose is to see what effects it has on the trespasser dlc.

I just finished keeping Celene in power and got the line from Josephine telling me to talk with Hawke. I already have, but I guess she means to meet her in Crestwood.

I talked to Cassandra telling she would make a great divine. Got a lot of approval and even did the operation to support her.

I'm also ignoring Solas. I will continue to talk with Cassandra and Varric.

After I got the templars I told Cole to get lost. I saw Dorian in Haven just before the mages starting attacking. I will ignore him for the rest of the game. I haven't even talked with him at all at Skyhold. In the tavern, Krem is still waiting for me to talk.

Lastly. I want to be at least level 20 before starting trespasser. I'm currently at level 11. So I have a lot of things to do to get to that level.

I enjoyed Merlin! Have you seen the actor that played Merlin in "Humans"? Its a decent storyline. Yeah, with a sword, she really looks GOT warrior. I really like Cass. Not in the least, like AT ALL, attracted to her as a toon. I need help. LOL That just dawned on me after decades of gaming.

I like "Chronicles of Shannara" too, a little too about looks versus story, which is not necessarily bad, the leads are extremely good looking, but I like the whole story of the magical tree and what all that means. I also got addicted to "The Magicians" which actually is a lot of fun. Its kind of like Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia (who they outright rip off), with a ton of sex like GOT. In spite of all that, not complaining, cool and sorta hot I guess, but I like my fantasy worlds to be more anchored in the lore than the candy. I like the candy but I much prefer good lore, good story.

I finally had time to do the night raid on the JoH.  It went easier than usual, I think.  The first bruiser lost over half his hp in the first couple seconds of combat

Spoiler

and I managed to find these guys without falling off anything, for once.

Spoiler

For whatever reason, I thought pitching a fire grenade at these guys would do a whole lot more damage than it actually did, and boy, were they complicating the fight with the various goons preceding Gurd Harofsen.  Cole had to be revived a couple times, which was why Blackwall was carrying the upgraded healing mist grenade.

Spoiler

Fighting Gurd was actually a slightly easy fight, although Bull still wound up taking one for the team.

Spoiler

We met Ameridan, killed the dragon, recruited Storvacker, and went around collecting memories.  While on the island, it was time to do the despair demon fight, which really is easier when postponed until after Hakkon Wintersbreath.  Previously, I'd do it the first time I went to the island and each time it would be a pretty near thing.  This time I still had a couple fire grenades left over and no one died even once.

My Inquisitor is far from being a douche otherwise I would ignore Varric and Cassandra. I also wouldn't make any attempt to help Cassandra be divine. I also saved the villagers when Haven was attacked.

It is one way for him to disapprove, but there have been a lot of things I've done in this playthrough that has gotten his approval. If I was to talk to him, I'm sure I would get more disapproval from him. For now, I just ignore him.

I never did a DAO playthrough where I recruited Loghain, but I wanted to see him in Inquisition, so for Xoana I made a worldstate using a Warden I'd made just to see the Dwarf Noble origin. Romanced Leliana, recruited Loghain, did ultimate sacrifice. So as well as Loghain I get to see a worldstate with no Connor and Leliana broken hearted over her dead love. All firsts for me.

I must say that so far Loghain is the best Warden. He just seems suitably broody and badass. Stroud never meant much to me and Alastair... I liked him in Origins but not so much in this game (except the little exchange with Morrigan if he did the dark ritual...)

I went and killed the High Dragon for her Dragon Scale. Then I made my Human Noble Warden a set of Superior Dragonbone Plate Armor, and gave Alistair my Juggernaut set. The next move was to kill Gaxkang the Unbound with my party, which was pretty simple thanks to  Glyph of Neutralization. Fade Wall and The Keening Blade acquired for my Warden, I set off for Flemeth to complete Morrigan's companion quest. Flemeth died with some difficulty and I was treated to a new cut-scene upon returning to camp, thanks to the Morrigan Restoration Mod. That takes care of all the super bosses.

I choose to side with Harrowmont this playthrough, and competed in the Provings for his honor next to Baizyl and Gwiddon. I died once, but I won it. Then I competed in some illegal Provings before leaving. The second task, killing Jarvia, was held off until I created Orzammar's first Chantry, gave Zerlinda a Job at said Chantry, completed Rogek's Lyrium deal, and rescued Figor from some Carta thugs. Jarvia died like a dog and it was off to the Deeps Roads to get Paragon Branks's vote. Oghren joined and replaced Alistair for the trek. Eventually I found Branka and the Anvil of the Void, but sided with Paragon Caradin to destroy it and killed Branka. Harrowmont was crowned King with the last piece of equipment Caradin made and Bhelin died in his little coup.

With all the treaties used, I called the Landsmeet with Eamon. My Warden is level 19 right now.

Puttered around Lothering doing all the little side quests. Did all the Chantry board jobs; made some traps for Allison and some poison for old Barlin; gave Elder Miriam some poultices and sprung Sten out of his cell. Ok, Daria unlocked the door with the key she got from the revered mother. Sten, for some reason, thinks Daria isn't a woman.

With Morrigan busy at camp, I got a few banters I don't remember hearing before. Both Al and Leli really like talking to Sparky. This one I actually do remember from a previous game, but Bon-Bon the little terror cracked me up.

Nonono....I can't romance Zev this time around. He was my Warden's boyfriend last two games. It's Alistair's turn to have a happy ending finally. Since my last Al romance, I've killed him in Darkspawn Chronicles twice, sicced him on Archie twice, kicked him out of the Warden club after recruiting Loghain and making myself king, dumped him for Zevran, and forced him to marry Anora. All he will have to do this time around is have some sexytimes with Morrigan later on down the road.
