Daria finished everything she can so far in Denerim. Helped out Sgt Kylon and got paid rather well for it. Decided working with the Crows might be better than working against them, and in some cases it seems like their targets, if not necessarily their goals, coincide. Slim is all tapped out on jobs at the moment but says he should have some more info later. She still can't get into the Alienage.
Everyone is now recruited except Oghren, and he won't be for a while yet. Next stop is the Brecilian Forest in search of the Dalish. I didn't realize this but, according to the wiki, more backpacks and better loot appear in various merchants' inventory only after completing Nature of the Beast. Not sure why that particular quest is the gating one, however.
After having to listen to Amalia's annoying, high-pitched chatter while trying to solve the fire puzzle in Wilhelm's cellar, I am actually kinda glad kids are no-shows in DAI.

I'm wondering if it has to do with some updates... I mean, I played JoH after last patch and this wasn't an issue, yet when I fired a game two weeks ago to check a quest and loaded daytime Frostback Basin, this happened as well. Anyone from consoles experiencing this, or is it just PC issue?

I know what happened with mine. I played the game just now and everything is back to normal so what's different between today and yesterday? Well yesterday, I minimize the game to take a look at the veilfire nodes in YT because I couldn't remember how to get to the first one. I think that's what caused the glitch because while I was watching the video, it started to stutter strangely.
I went to go talk with everyone after the Winter's Palace, and Blackwall was so disgusted with me letting Celene die that he actually left the Inquisition. Pffft. Don't come crying to me if you somehow find yourself in prison!
I then did something that I never thought I would do.....I broke up with Dorian. A douche has gotta do what a douche has gotta do.....then I continued to woo Cassandra. I was thinking about dumping her after we did the deed.....but we'll see. It might be more fun to dump her in Trespasser. Then again, we'll see....I could still have my way with Iron Bull after all....and the Douche-quisitor wants as many trophies as he can. I went and spoke with Dorian and he commented on mine and Cassandra's dalliances like it was nothing, and we were just friends. Oof.
Next up....The Emerald Graves. I wonder what havoc I can cause in there.
*** YES I KNOW I'M A HORRIBLE PERSON TO BREAK UP WITH DORIAN, BUT IT JUST HAPPENED, OK?

Scratch my previous post. Turns out last time I played JoH was before last patch. Lately my memory fails me on daily basis

It's bad news for dedicated alt-tabber like me.
When was the last patch? I thought it was soon after Trespasser? I've run through JoH twice this year. I alt-tab all the time (DAI is running right now!) and I have yet to experience that issue.

Oct 5, 2015. The only pt I completed after Tresspasser was without JoH.
So it seems it's connected to something else... Hmnmn...
Life Is Strange - Got to ask. What did you choose at the end?

Wasn't a hard decision for me. From the start of the game, I had decided Max would be brave and vengeful, but she would put friendship above everything else, even above her own best interests (let alone everyone elses). By sheer dumb luck, that happened to align with the narrative. So Bae was a no-brainer.
The much harder decision for me was whether or not to tell David Madsen that Jefferson had killed Chloe, in that timeline. Vengeance dictated tell and Max had consistently been anti-Step Douche the whole game, "so what?" if he ended up going to jail for life for killing Jefferson while tied up and unconscious? On the other hand, the dude had just saved her ass and she had to eat crow for a lot of what she'd done to him. Worth it, or a b*tch move for someone who'd just saved the day?
Hafter's Woods always turns into some type of trial whenever I visit. Here I am just walking through it to head to a quest location and boom! 2 bears, 4 mercenaries, 2 mabari, and then of course 2 lyrium smugglers show up as well. The woods will soon turn into a war zone at this rate. I took care of them though, Hidden Blades is awesome (especially against despair demons).

OT. Found this. Looks interesting but I'm not too certain about dropping in something. Maybe something small. What caught my attention is the VAs, JH is in it.

Well, I put in some money. Hope the game, narrative and chars are good. I wonder how JH will sound like. Hopefully, not like Shepard. I was very impressed with Krem. Why? Because I didn't recognise the voice! I was shocked when a friend told me it's JH.
I was going to do pic highlights on Rikki's run, but got sidetracked all day with film related work. The good news is he's already made Inquisitor!
Has anyone ever been bothered with the way a male elf Inquisitor's arms look during cutscenes? To me, the arms look as if they're glued to his sides instead of relaxing normally Plus choosing armour and a Skyhold outfit for him seems to be a bit of a challenge... Dressing a lady Inquisitor is easier, I swear...
Time to drink myself into a stupor. It's been one of those days.

You're telling me. I've had consecutive Mondays at work for a couple of weeks straight now. Real Mondays (like today) are even worse. I swear, everyone got hit by the stupid bug over the weekend.
In DA land, Daria made it to the Dalish camp. She got the snarky treatment from the clan storyteller and thinks Zathrian is a stuck up know it all, certainly nothing like Valendrian back in the Alienage. Everyone else seemed pretty nice though. Re-spec'd (I love that mod) to add another level of survival skill so I could calm the halla. Got Cammen and Gheyna together. Leliana was happy about that one. I finally got her approval high enough to get the hint about things she likes. I try not to give those kinds of gifts until I get that far on my own; it usually works for everyone but Morrigan.
Headed out into the forest only to be assaulted by all sorts of wolves - normal ones, blighted ones, were'd (?) ones. Also found some darkspawn, possessed trees, and a giant bear. There's always gotta be a bear, right? It's not DA if there's no bear.
Next up: the Grand Oak and heading deeper into the forest.

Maya, former(?) Carta, sometimes Herald, always Cadash, offered to make a bet with Varric. "I'll lay two-to-one odds that the moment I mention returning to the Deep Roads to help Valta, somebody is going to come at me with another ..."
"Inquisitor, there you are!" said Josie, bustling up.
"No bet," Varric said, with a grin.
More delays, more interruptions. An urgent message from the Empress. Some troops got themselves stuck in a citadel on the wrong side of a broken bridge in the Exalted Plains. Needed a rescue party.
"And before you ask," Josie said. "The only reward the Empress offers is her sincere gratitude."
Great. That and two bits would get you a tankard of ale down at the Herald's Rest. Maya was ready to pay a necromancer to resurrect the Grand Duchess to lay some mayhem on the snooty Empress, but Varric said, "I hear tell that the Citadelle du Corbleau is loaded with loot. Carta's been trying to crack it forever, but could never seem to pull it off."
"Well, what are we waiting for?!" Maya cried. "The Empress says we got to pull her chevaliers's nuts out of the fire, to the Exalted Plain we go!"
--------------------------
Zombies! Endless zombies. No wonder the Carta never made off with all the loot, the place was crawling with them. Maya's crew was pretty deadly now, not much could withstand their finely honed murder skills, but this! Even Cass was having a hard time of it, and her people practically slept with zombies.
"Don't be absurd!" Cass shouted, between thrusts and parries. "Where did you hear such a ... Varric!"
A few hundred zombies later, Maya called out a warning. "Dorian, watch your back!"
"If only I could! That would be easy on the eyes. I'll just have to settle for admiring my new chapeau instead."
Spoiler
"No, idiot! Zombies behind you!"
The magical elven mouse-trap charbroiler beam thingy wasn't helping much. The zombies seemed to ignore it. If only Maya could get her crew up there to put some beat down on it. Maybe they could get it to stop.
Spoiler
This is kind of what it was like fighting all those zombies:
Finally, after sending the last zombie back to the Fade, Maya figured out how to turn off the charbroiler and rescued the trapped army. Not that they were grateful or anything. All they did was complain about the food they'd had to eat. Typical Orlesians! Dorian even stood on a table to get a better view of all the complaining.

All hail the Douche-quisitor. I changed my Skyhold wardrobe from the sparkly armor to the blue tunic, because I'm no longer with the sparkly Dorian. To break the blue tunic in, I went and told Sera to hit the road, and she didn't fit in the Inquisition. I had her jar of bees, I'm a rogue, so I never take her on missions. She wasn't too pleased. She told me to ****** up a rope.
The Inquisition is getting pretty small. No Blackwall, no Cole, and no Sera.
I better make sure everyone likes me. Except Solas and Varric of course. They couldn't leave if they wanted to. Muahahahah.
Iron Bull needs more approval for me to go on his personal mission to kill his Chargers. So I decided to fight the Fereldan Frostback. (This part was great, my 3 year old got out of bed and was watching, and yelling "RUN MAMA! THE DRAGON HAS FIRE! SHE'S CALLING HER BABIES!" )
After killing the dragon, Iron Bull and I had a drink. However, he still didn't invite me to kill his Chargers afterwards. Guess it's back to the drawing board.

As always, running back and forth between multiple play throughs. So last night, I decided to go after one of the achievements with Petra Trevelyan (I always forget the damn names! ) - the one where you turn on the trial for no supply caches, during In Hushed Whispers. Got through the quest, and went to check on the achievement. Doh! It didn't trigger. I turned on the trial before going to the war room, and still haven't turned it off. And I would go "all in", that my internet did NOT disconnect. (I have a warning signal, if and when that happens. I call it Rog, and apparently I'm married to it. Seriously, he would have been poking me in the shoulder the second it went down, if it did.) Plus, I never saw any "disconnected from DA servers", or any such thing.
Meh...guess I will try again on a speed run. I don't normally care about achievements, but since you can get rewards from these trials, I figure kill two birds with one stone, kind of thing. I did get Elgar'nan Enaste after I finished the quest. I do have the schematic, mind you, but I always restrict what I am allowed to craft, before certain main story parts. So Sera has a new fun bow!
I am still planning on going for the "reach Skyhold level 5 or lower" achievement (See?!? I can't remember these damn achievement names, to save my life!), so I will try for that other trial again, at the same time...I guess.

I brought Solas to Halamshiral. I strongly dislike Solas but I love it when they call him my elven servant Too bad he enjoys himself so much at the Winter Palace.

I turned on the trial before going to the war room,
As far as I know, for this achievement, you need to turn in on before going to Redcliffe to meet with Fiona. That's what've heard.
I actually turned it on on the beginning of my pt when I was going after this achievement... and didn't turn it off since. This is one of my must-have trials. Especially during The Descent
I stared my second file of Dragon Age Origins and decide to install the Winter Forge mod so I could craft stuff. Damn this thing is hard to understand, but when you just make stuff with the cheat options it's really fun. I turned my Cousland Family Sword and Shield into top tier weapons with great buffs.

Figures.
Thanks for the info though, @Rascoth. I figured someone on this thread would have the 411.

If you don't have Trial of the Fool, maybe try doing it at the same pt as Trial of the Magician. In Hushed Whispers on lvl3 with no supply caches? Glorious

That's the name of that damn Achievement! (the get to Skyhold at lvl 5 or lower) And yes...that is exactly my plan now. Might even do it this week, since I don't think I will bother to continue with that PT, once I get that cheevo. I have seen you and a few others, comment on some of the best ways to accomplish the Trial of the Fool, but you are anyone else, want to chime in on a good plan of action to complete this? (Gonna be damn hard not to click on stuff...it's like a pavlov dog response, when it comes to clicking codex related stuff. )
