The one that always scares the crap out of me, even though I know it's coming, is the first extra big giant spider you come across in the Deep Roads Expedition in DA2.

I just finished up Ortan Thaig in DAO, where you fight the horde of spiders led by the disappearing Spider Queen. I hate the rattle noises that they make ::shudder:: Not to mention all the other weird noises coming from the Deep Roads. I'll be running along and suddenly out of nowhere hear a "thunk" and wonder what the heck was that?! No enemies anywhere....just a random noise in the dark.

I remember encountering that one too, I know what to expect with future playthroughs now but it still makes me nervous every time. I slowly inch my way into its little arena and back off as soon as it appears, letting Aveline handle it while I attack from afar lol. The Ortan Thaig creeped me out too, spider city.

Just replayed the Descent DLC, and Varric had the "bright" idea to do a back flip while he was near a cliff. No surprise, he fell to his death.

That'll teach that beardless dwarf for showing off his fancy-sassy ninja moves while facing an ogre alpha.

(I wish I had recorded that, it was hilarious).

Survived Hafter's Woods (although Eleanor did get knifed twice, stupid lyrium smugglers) and recruited Blackwall.

So far, I'm not having any luck getting fade touched snofleur with the 1% health regain for lady Necromancer Nymisa. She has the ring of life drain, superb belt of healing, heal on kill and bonus healing on both armour and staff. It's a bit overboard, because she even has the passive from the Necromancer tree where health and mana regenerate when enemies die. But she's truly living up to being immortal. I'll keep killing snofleurs until I get that masterwork. Such determination :D

Also, having BFF Dorian as a regular in her travelling party, two Necromancers on the battlefield are insane. It's so much fun  B)

P.S. I'm sending Nymisa for a makeover in Black Emporium. Her jaw side profile is unflattering during cutscenes. Especially when she kisses Cullen and judges prisoners.

It might help to give the RNG a kick in the ... pants. Maker knows it never helped me, but it has helped others. Leave EdL, fast travel to Val Royeaux or something, save, reload, re-enter EdL. Or, after saving, exit DAI, restart the game, then reload and re-enter EdL.

Unfortunately or fortunately, this might respawn some Great Bears too.

Thanks. I haven't yet unlocked Emprise du Lion and should do that soon. Been travelling in and out of the Exalted Plains on my snofleur genocide mission.

Great bears are no problem. I can kill them for their black leather tint and cold resistance.

Finished up the Deep Roads quest. Sided with Caridin over crazy Branka. I still get chills every time I get to Hespith's line, "I'm dying of something worse than death. Betrayal."

I almost had enough inventory space for everything but wound up needing about 5 more slots so had to destroy a few things..

Now I've got companion quests to finish, including heading to Cadash Thaig with Shale, and the last of the side quests in Orzammar. I didn't talk to Ruck's mother before heading down under so I don't think I'll be able to tell her about him. Oops. I'm also ignoring Brother Burkle....he's a troublemaker. :P

Finished Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, got the three big figures of Orlais to agree to work together and humiliated Florianne in front of the entire court, always love doing that to her. B) Also finished Blackwalls quest, instead of choosing the usual response of just having him atone for his sins I actually sentenced him to go to the Wardens this time. Should be fun to see. Will start Exalted Plains later, I usually go there after resolving all of the drama at the Winter Palace.

So my human 2h reaver is now a level 22.  I've taken care of nine of the high dragons but Vinsomar keeps kicking my butt.  Going to try and take her out tomorrow before I head to the frostback basin.

Killed Empress Celine with my elven Inquisitor and put Briala in power. That's what I like to call poetic justice.

Good luck with this!  I farmed so many of those poor little beasts on my last playthrough, for my necromancer, and the 1% FT mat didn't drop once. I got a couple of the other kind they drop, which I took to be the RNG god laughing at me

In all my playthroughs I've never been able to rp an Inquisitor who could let Celene die. I was considering it with my current elf, but it is just so...cold. I understand the reasoning but I just can't do it.

Gwenyn has dealt with Adamant Fortress. Stroud is no more and the wardens have been banished. R.I.P that moustache, to paraphrase Sera.

Maybe there's a snofleur king hiding somewhere and in cahoots with the RNG god using whatever superpower to prevent Inky from getting that masterwork  :?

Same would apply to Exalted Plains, but for Snoufleur farming, EdL can't be beat. The critters spawn like every 30 seconds. It's a much longer wait in Exalted Plains.

Plus the wolf to snoufleur ratio in Exalted Plains is higher. Pesky mutts.

Guess I'm taking Nymisa to Emprise early then. She's currently at level 16, but her gear is good to take on enemies there.

Yeah, those wolf packs are annoying. Also the roaming halla, I try to avoid killing them, but one or two will always get caught in the crossfire  -_-

I think the only place I've ever gotten it is EdL. Although I get it to fall fairly regularly on the PS4.

I got it once this playthrough on the Exalted Plains, but I agree that it's far easier to "farm" if you just run rings around the frozen river in Emprise du Lion.

More game time with Nymisa and she travelled to Adamant to take care of the Warden situation. She was successful and defeated the nightmare demon, but she chose to leave sarcastic lady Hawke in the fade. The b!tch grated on her nerves anyway. As for the remaining Wardens, they joined the Inquisition, however, Nymisa's going to send them on a suicide mission.

Then comes judgement time! Senior Warden, Ser Ruth was sentenced to be publicly humiliated and Tevinter diva Erimond was made tranquil. The war table mission following that, "How Could You?!" the lady Inquisitor assigned Leliana and her agents to brutally take care of the matter. So far, most people who were judged either got the death sentence or worse.

Although she's getting better at her Necromancy magic, Nymisa's wickedness is fully coming into play! :D She's still with Cullen wullen, but she harshly ordered him to stop taking lyrium. That'll get him to stop being emo about his past...

Wolf packs always seem to show up at the most annoying times for me, same with hyenas. I swear whenever a wolf pack attacks a halla that halla seems to always run to my group, forcing me to fight the wolf pack.  <_<

Damn, I've always wanted to do this to Erimond but unfortunately, I'm not interested in playing a mage. :D  All I could do was throw him to the wardens. I imagined his end as a moaning, whining spirit when Corypheus joined him and he realised there's no glorious afterlife for him.

Well Harold Trevalyan (sp?) along with The Iron Bull, Blackwall, and Dorian have been taking out Hakkonite forces in the frostback basin while forging an alliance with friendly Avarr in the area.  Glad I have Blackwall as my tank.  He can take a beating like no other.  A couple of rifts dropped some really powerful battleaxes that will come in handy when I take on Hakkon himself.  Equipped Harold and Iron Bull with those battleaxes.

I just kicked the Grey Wardens out of Orlais for the first time in 5 play throughs. I felt really bad telling Loghain to GTFO but then the game gave me a chance to boot Blackwall out with them. Worth it XD

This Dickquisitor play through has been full of firsts. First time saccing the chargers, first time telling Cullen to shut up and take his lyrium. It has been strange.

But it still feels good to kill that wretched cow of an empress, I only wish I could say "In Your Face." to her face while she's dying.

Ran around the Forbidden Oasis, for what seemed like hours. The place is pretty, but I hate the up and down of that area. Surely there could have been better placement of the shards there?

Most of the time I don't even bother with Shards anymore.

I found it was easier to get all the shards if you work it back (farthest from first camp) to front (nearest to first camp). After scrying them all first, though.

I've got it down to a routine. Do the nearest scry first, then clear the map to the next scry, and so on until all shards are located. I clear the entire map of rifts and enemies (except for the corrupted spider cave -- gaah!) as I do this. Then I work back to front.

Having a character with Fade Step helps in a couple of places. You can short-cut across some chasms that way and save the up-and-down-and-up time.
