I see a couple of posts mentioning spiders in the games that gave chills. It would be nice for BioWare to change it up a bit to having scorpions ranging in different sizes like the spiders.

Most of the time I don't even bother with Shards anymore.

I still collect them, not all, but some, just for unlocking the region. I will say that after playing the game a few times, collecting the shards is a lot easier than the first time I collected them the first time.

I still collect all the shards and all the tile mosaic pieces and all those damn bottles on the wall.  My last two games I didn't find one bottle  and it made me irrationally ragey.  There is one co-op mission in Assassin's Creed Unity that I find impossible to finish alone and the fact that I cannot finish it also makes me ragey (and don't think I didn't sit there and try to do it like 172 times in a row before I broke out my bottle of wine).   #typeAproblems.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Like Sera says, "I'd rather take spiders..."

Greed finally made it to the Frostback Basin, together with Dorian, Sera and Varric.

Spoiler

He talked to Kenric and then made his way to some fishermen huts to get a boat. On the way to them, Greed saw an Ice-Giant and just couldn't resist a fight.

The Giant wasn't very happy about it, but Greed told him to chill.

He might have taken it too literal.....

Spoiler

Uhm, yeah, that done Greed run towards the sun, to the fishermen's huts.

tumblr_o6saqxpkui1rr7n8lo6_1280.png

There some Jaws of Hakkon meant to bite off more than they could chew and attacked Greed & Co.

Didn't take long and they were lying on the ground.

Talking to Arvid Rolfsen, Greed learned that he had to ask Thane Svarah Sun-Hair for permission to take the boat to the Lady's Rest.

Okay, onwards to Stone-Bear Hold.

He witnessed a climbing competition, a guy called Gurd Haro-dingsbums tried to threaten him(?) and then talked to the Thane.

She's cool, fought with burning hair.

Greed likes people like that.

He talks to some others and hears the Holdbeast might be in a cave, the Stone-Bears would like to fight him and a boy needs something so he can bury(?) his dad.

'Kay, why not, sounds like fun.

Tomorrow then.

Same, I did it for one playthrough just to know that I've done it and now don't bother.

Funny thing happened to me while running through the Hissing Wastes. I was heading to the dragon area and on my way I encountered a hunter and his camp...along with a wyvern. The hunter and the wyvern were just hanging out together no drama or fighting, I forgot to take a picture though.  :pinched:

I now have 6 dragons killed. The remaining 4 are the Storm Coast one and the three in Emprise du Lion. Will do the Storm Coast one later and than the remaining three once I have What Pride Had Wrought done.

Argh! I didn't fight the dragon in Orzammer palace before crowning a king and now Harrowmont and all his buddies are in the throne room and the dragon quest isn't accessible. :pinched: Stupid dwarf lords. If I work with Bhelen, I'm in the palace earlier and do all the quests then. This time, working with Harrowmont, my Warden didn't have a reason to be in the palace until after H was made king. Argh! This is why Bhelen is the better choice. :P

Shale found out where she came from, Daria lost 15 approval points with Leliana for not reciprocating her ninjamance <_<, and Wynne is mercilessly teasing Alistair about his relationship with Daria. Next, they're off to ask the Dalish about Aneirin and then go back to Redcliffe to get Sten's sword and update Eamon on the state of the army. It's almost time to return to Denerim.

Wrapped up Jaws of Hakkon tonight, going to head to the deep roads tomorrow, current playthrough is pushing 100 hours.  This  game is a monster.  I will say this when Inquisition is at it's best it is as good as any game I have ever played and it has a very addictive quality to it.

I don't remember fighting a dragon at Orzammar. I only recalled two; Flemeth and the dragon at Haven.

You can summon one in Orzammar Royal Palace's throne room. There are tiles on which your companions have to stand and then you can interact with throne... and boom! Dragon! This might explain better.

So Dickquisitor Caspian Trevelyan just *slaughtered* the Northern Hunter, the Gamordan Stormrider and the Greater Mistral.

He also took Suledin Keep by making a deal with Imshael, my favourite choice spirit, for virgins. Because of course he did XD

He has run off every companion possible besides Dorian (and Iron Bull), because I find it impossible to be a dick to the guy. :/  I wonder if it is even possible to drop his approval down to the low numbers after both the Winter Palace and fade quests, when you have enough approval to bring him to Redcliffe?

He is also really good friends with Varric because, see above.

I head cannon that he is in love with Vivienne but because she isn't interested he spends his time with Bull.

So Vivienne, Bull, Varric and Dorian are his only friends....for the moment ;)

I hit the max 50 saves on my xbox again today too. I'm thinking next run through for my Sera romance I'll buy DA:I for p.c. The 50 saves limit isn't across different platforms is it?

The pc save limit is 250 across all characters. They all get dumped into a single folder, but each character has its own identifier digits in the file names so you can *kind of* tell them apart.

This structure is the main reason why I don't switch between characters much, if at all. It's too much of a pain to make sure the saves I'm moving are the right ones.

Freya finally made it into Trespasser, but not very far :D

Quite some time had passed since Freya's last adventure in the Frostback Basin, and now a new one would begin. An Exalted Council was to be held at the Winter Palace in Orlais, as questions arose about the future of the Inquisition. Freya had to admit that the thought of possibly disbanding the Inquisition did not make her sad. Quite the contrary. She never wanted this in the first place, and if it would be time to quit, she could concentrate on other things.

But first things first. She hadn't seen some of her friends for a long time, and she was more than happy to catch up with them. It was also Bull's birthday, and the Chargers got him a great gift.

Spoiler

Dorian was there as well, and he brought news. He would go back to Tevinter for good, and Freya was sad she'd lose one of her best friends. But Dorian promised they would stay in contact.

Spoiler

After speaking to both the Fereldan and Orlesian Ambassador, Freya went to find Cassandra. Freya didn't know what Cassandra was talking about at first, but it seemed that Varric had told her that Freya wanted to propose to Bull. She had no such plans, but she found it highly amusing to see Cassandra like that.

Spoiler

Freya was ready to attend the Exalted Council and was curious to see where this would lead.

Oh that one. I know something about stepping on tiles, I thought it's leading to some loot but never bothered to find out. The dragon in the dwarven palace, I have never encountered before and not likely to since I've no interest in firing up DAO.

Yeah, it's called a Dragon's Creche, the Silent Grove comic features another one in the Antivan Crow's archives. It's basically an elaborate dwarven trap that's built into the structure of the building itself, meant to show the owner's wealth (since they're expensive) and deter anyone from looting the place.

The dragon fight in Orzammar is actually pretty easy, it's only the size of a large Drake, rather than something like the High Dragon or Flemeth.

Greed continued his journey through the Basin.

Having camped near the Kuldsdotten Swamp Greed heard someone scream.

He went to investigate and fount Colette.

Kenric's assistant.

Being the nice guy *cough*Greed? Nice?*cough* he is, he saved her from the beasts and chatted a little with her.

Still in the swamp, the group heard a loud growl and followed it to find one of those Fade-Touched beasts the Hunter had mentioned.

Greed had caught the hunting fever and decided he wanted to kill another one of those FT beasts, so he took the group to the lair of a FT Lurker.

Deciding the third FT beast was too far away, he went back to Stone-Bear Hold.

The group walked to the Arena and fought the Stone-Bears for fun.

Walk Softly made it a chore and Greed & Co kept dying.  <_<

At least I got two banters between Dorian and Varric in front of the arena entrance.

Spoiler

Spoiler

Turned Walk Softly off and fought again, this time Greed won.  B)

That done, Greed went to the nearest camp and switched Sera for Cole. (Approval Reasons )

He was just on the way back to the Hold, when he found a weird axe near a cliff.

...

Oh!

Greed had talked to a woman about her cousin just a few moments ago, that had to be her waymark, or something like that.

A few turns and hills later they find said cousin fighting some Lurkers. Where are they all comming from? seriously  <_<

Greed helps her and she asks him, if she can include him into her prayer for her gods.

Sure why not.

A spirit appears and Cole greets it at once. Greed knows why he likes this kid.

After the spirit departs, Greed & Co go back to the Hold again and talk to the Augur.

That done they finally go to the fishermen huts and tell Arvid that his Thane allowed Greed to use his boat.

A few minutes later the group is on the Lady's Rest and hear the voice of a woman.

Great, a haunted island....

Turns out it was a spirit who had waited for Ameridan in Telana's stead.

Poor thing. :(

Greed asked Cole, if he could say something to the spirit and he relieved it of it's duty.

Taking the spell Telana had left behind, Greed wanted to leave the island, but somehow some of the Jaws of Hakkon had arrived on it.

Ugh.

---

I really hate the Hakkon's Wrath status, it keeps killing the whole group before I can do anything >.<

I "cheat" - I put up Aegis, drop a 3-tier Mark of the Rift on the lot of them and then laugh as their hit points melt away. Clean up is easy-peasy after that. B)

Daria update

She rescued Anora and agreed to support her in the Landsmeet. Alistair was happy about that, though he said she should probably not tell Eamon about the decision just yet.  A couple of differences with playing CE - no Vaughn and no Soris in the dungeons. Of course, that's because the former is long dead and the latter was protected by Daria when it came time to take the blame.

She finally was able to get back to the Alienage. Shianni was decent to talk to for once and I learned that the "plague" is actually Blight sickness caused by refugees fleeing the darkspawn. Killed all the Tevinters and didn't even give Caladrius a chance to propose a deal. All Daria cared about was getting her father out of there asap.

Unfortunately, the scene afterwards glitched out and the conversation that was supposed to take place back in their house triggered automatically while still in the slaver room. I thought maybe I accidentally clicked something so I replayed the fight but the same thing happened. <_< Then, back at the house, no dialogues were available. Nice that Cyrion is the one still there for city elf origin, but it sucks that Valendrian gets taken instead. :(

All side quests are finished except the last one for Crime Wave since Slim doesn't reappear until after the Landsmeet.

Tonight Harold journeyed into the deep roads to investigate tremors at the request of his dwarven allies.  Got to the alpha emissary and then died, which meant I had to fight through a crap ton of shrieks, some alpha gemlocks, a couple of ogres, and a ton of regular emissaries again before I put down the alpha since the thing didn't let me save it.

Well...****.

Caspian powered through the Temple of Mythal, gave the two finger salute to the idea of following some silly ritual, decimated Sampson with his weakened armour, watched Morrigan bury a blade in to Abelas' kidneys, then drank from the well just to taste salty Morrigan tears.

Then he came home to Skyhold and punched Solas in the face.

Once Sampson had been brought back to Skyhold Caspian sat in judgment over everybody in a row. He sentenced to death anyone he could, (I hated doing that to Crassius Servus by the way, I love that dude) with the exception of Mistress Poulin. Caspian decided to just take all her riches for himself.

I then got the final romance scene with Iron Bull and seeing him with his heart closed off like that left me feeling so flat. Caspian seemed troubled with the notion Iron Bull might not love him as much as he hopes he does. Caspian is an a**hat and deserves what is coming but seeing Bull so...so.. *cries a thousand tears*

I'm going to have to do a playthrough with a romanced tal-vashoth Bull because I just must.

I haven't done it, but I think the worst part about romancing Qun Bull is the effect it has on other Tal'Vashoth according to the Trespasser epilogue.

Does anyone know....if you play a qunari and romance Qun Bull, does Varric still hire the Valo'kos mercs to work in Kirkwall? Given what happened during DA2, I thought it was weird for Varric to do that anyway, but it would be really weird once no one in Thedas trusts Tal'Vashoth because of Bull.

Did a quick replay of Maya vs Emissary boss battle in Descent, only this time solo. I wanted to see if I could sneak past all the previous waves and go straight to the boss -- no, not possible. The last door won't open unless you defeat the first two waves. Also wanted to see if it could be done solo with a level 19 Yo-Yo Bomber. Almost was purely solo, since Valta kept standing around doing nothing. ;)

I would have swept the entire battle on the first try if I hadn't Leaping Shot over a cliff and then, reappearing back at the top out in the open, got Full Draw triple shot by three hurlock archers.

After that, I just kept making stupid mistakes. It was almost comical. Like with 10% HP left, I hit the wrong key when I tried to drink a health potion and then got back stabbed by a screecher. Like when I unknowingly left one genlock Alpha alive. That meant the whole bridge fight kept respawning, even though the door to the two Ogres was open. So I got to fight ogres and infinite genlocks and emissaries without the boss showing up.

On about the tenth try I finally succeeded. The emissary boss was easy, I had full focus and used Hail of Arrows with Leaping Shot spam (no cooldown, quick stamina regen) to take it down. The hardest part was the two genlock alphas, mainly because I had to avoid using Leaping Shot, or end up falling off the bridge.

Enhanced Amulet of Barrier and Superb Ring of Barrier Penetration were key accessories. Going solo as a rogue, I'd have no barrier without the amulet. I didn't have any guard on hit gear, so barrier was the only extra protection available. The ring helped with emissaries.

The Exalted Council was interrupted by Leliana, with some big news. A dead qunari had been found in the palace. Freya and her companions followed the blood trail through an Eluvian in order to investigate. The blood trail led them to some elven ruins. They found more dead qunari and fought spirits and qunari alike.

Freya and her companions found a note stating that the qunari plan to infiltrate Halamshiral.

Spoiler

Upon returning to the Winter Palace, Freya informed the Advisors and she and her companions returned to the Crossroads. They ended up in the Deep Roads and found a Templar who had converted to the Qun. He revealed that the qunari attacking the Inquisition are led by the Viddasala and that they plan to do something with the mined lyrium, some plan called Dragon's Breath. Thanks to the Templar's help Freya could shut down the operation by destroying the mine.

Spoiler

More trouble awaited back at the Winter Palace. Someone had smuggled Gaatlok barrels into the palace. It's time to track down the Viddasala...
