Daria got through the Landsmeet. First time I had Al duel Loghain but he failed spectacularly <_< so I reloaded and dueled him with Daria instead. So much easier since rogue does more damage per hit than warrior. She let him surrender, which gave Al pause, and Riordan pitched his idea about making Loghain a Warden. I love the look on Al's face when Riordan says his line but unfortunately missed taking a screenshot since it happens so fast. Anyway, Daria turned down the deal and Alistair executed Loghain.

Eamon decided this meant Al was king, which Al was completely against (did not harden him after the b*tch quest). Daria made sure Alistair didn't really want to be king before deciding in Anora's favor. Sorry Eamon - no puppet for you. :P Once that was settled, and plans made to head to Redcliffe to meet up with the army, Daria took some time to pay her buddy Slim a visit. One last heist, to pilfer the Tears of Andraste from Bann Somebody's vault. After making this quest more difficult on myself in previous games by taking a full party, Daria went solo this time and stealthed her way through the estate, found the Tears, and stealthed her way back out again.

If this Warden thing doesn't work out, she's got a second career lined up as the Dark Wolf, and also has a standing offer to join the Crows in Antiva. :D She probably should have romanced Zevran instead of Alistair but the timing (for me) was all wrong.

Just have Redcliffe/DR and the final battle to go.

You can summon one in Orzammar Royal Palace's throne room. There are tiles on which your companions have to stand and then you can interact with throne... and boom! Dragon! This might explain better.

I never knew that, next time I play Origins I'll have to try that.

I finished What Pride Had Wrought (had Morrigan drink from the Well) and mainly just have Solas' quest to do and the remaining little things in Emprise du Lion before I fight Corypheus. I'll probably take a small break before that and then come back and do the DLC. I already have Trespasser bought on Xbox One, probably won't worry about The Descent. Definitely getting Hakkon though, just because of all of the awesome loot you get during the DLC.

Three elves and a qunari went to an Orlesian ball.

Spoiler

Gwenyn considered bringing a couple of nobles, but decided to go full elf - take the elves and help the elves. After consulting with her advisors, and Cullen especially was keen to see Gaspard in power, she decided to let Celene die. At the last minute she realised that, with the information she had, she could raise Briala to power.

I've never taken this option before - it always seemed so harsh, but then Gaspard is executed if Celene keeps her position, so there's no clean way of dealing with the problem.

Spoiler

Cullen surprised her, after the ordeal, by coming to find her and asking her to dance. Their relationship seems to be (finally ) moving forward.

Yep, that's the one. :D

Daria convinced Al to do the DR with Morrigan so neither of them would die killing the Archdemon. Of course, Al had to remind her, before they set off into the city later, that they could still get squished by Archie and the ritual wouldn't help in that instance one bit. <_< They split the duty in the end: Alistair got the kill animation and Daria struck the final blow.

Daria's boon from Anora was better representation for the Alienage elves and while that seemed to work for a while, it apparently didn't end well for Shianni. :(

Shale is off to Tevinter with Wynne to try to get de-golemized, Leliana will head back the Temple of Sacred Ashes on behalf of the Chantry, Zevran will stick around to keep out of the Crows' way for a while, Sten is heading home with an answer for the Arishok, Oghren is staying on the surface with Felsi (maybe), and Morrigan has disappeared. Will she be found later? Possibly.

Now imported into Awakening and just added Oghren to the team.

Been spending time revising my ME fic that I finally completed this year. I feel like sending flowers to every reader who didn't throw rotten eggs at me for the mess I found in there. But then I was prudent to apologise first. :P  Not a good writer, writing on the fly, no blueprint. All of which is true.

Will probably finish the current DAI PT this week. There's only Arbor Wilds , the big fight and Trespasser remaining. Also wrapping up ME2. Finished Arrival. Took two attempts to outlast the horde because I went to the wrong side of the room and was outflanked (no way you can take FemShep down you scum! :D ) Really felt like smacking Kenson. If there's a way, I'll capture and deliberately leave her to the Reapers when they arrive. There, there's your master. Go glory in them and get eaten! Also finished Overlord. Now there's only the IFF, suicide mission and Liara's Shadow Broker which I'm saving for last.

Does anyone know....if you play a qunari and romance Qun Bull, does Varric still hire the Valo'kos mercs to work in Kirkwall? Given what happened during DA2, I thought it was weird for Varric to do that anyway, but it would be really weird once no one in Thedas trusts Tal'Vashoth because of Bull.

I'd love to know this too and I would make a playthrough just to find this out except not sure I could keep Bull loyal to the Qun ever again TBH.

Screenshots from the last of Daria's DAO run.

I ended up getting one of Alistair after all, except this is after Eamon declares him king and his reaction is .

Daria saved him from that fate though.

It's finals week for my college so I'm suffering, but I found the time to pay some more attention to my new qunari Inquisitor, Katah, today. Knocked around the Hinterlands for a while, mainly in the farms collecting more (you guessed it) shards. You'd think by my third playthrough I'd have remembered all of the locations, but apparently not. I got to Dennet though, so I have ponies for my tiny Inquisition, as it is right now. Hooray. Closed some fade rifts, so all's quiet on the farms for now. Maybe I'll go find that missing Druffalo tomorrow. I'm just counting down the days until I can go home to a stable internet connection and start my ME2 run, since I don't have the patch I need to import my ME save yet, boo. But for now, back to writing my final English paper on Dragon Age.

So the new voices in Caspian's head told him to go to Mythal's shrine to summon her so he did and fought the guardian dragon.

<snip - wikid it>

After fighting the guardian dragon Caspian decided to finish of the last of the High Dragons. So down went the Sandy Howler, Vinsomer, Hivernal, the Kaltenzahn and the Highland Ravager.

While in the Emprise du Lion Caspian also went to find Michel de Chevin to tell him that he'd cleared off Imshael, expecting to have to lie about having killed him. Instead Caspian found the chevalier's corpse with a friendly reminder pinned to it that Imshael was a choice spirit. Caspian took the note and walked away pretending nothing happened

Also, I cannot believe it has taken me 5 playthroughs to work out you can get battle nugs as mounts. I thought all those locked exotics were from dlc only until this point! *puts on dunce cap*

So I'm right at the end of the game. Trespasser is a given, but doing Descent and Hakkon when next playthrough will have to be a 100% playthrough since I'm switching to p.c. is not as appealing at this point. Although to kill all those dragons and NOT take down Hakkon will bother me LOL.

I've never figured out the strategy for this thing, I just kill the ghosts it spawns until they stop spawning. Still, with all that lyrium, could it be part of a titan???

Can't you use those anvils to attack those stone faces directly? They glow, you touch it, face got hit. Repeat till finished with them.

If I remember right you had to hit each face twice. Once you did that, destroyed face didn't spawn new ghosts.

But now that you said it... Yeah... Wouldn't be surprised if it was somehow connected to the Titan.

I finished IHW with a new world state and was surprised by the change in Varric's reaction to allying with the mages.  This PT, I'm planning on sacrificing Hawke, so I picked one I disliked, who rivaled Varric.  Instead of the line that mages make bad decisions but loyal friends, he just said that mages do stupid things, and he disapproved instead of approved.  Hmm.  I'm not too worried about the approval hit, because there are so many chances later to make it up, but I wonder what other surprises are in store for my planned route.  I'm also planning to exile the wardens.  We'll see what happens.

Varric's approval after IHW depends on Hawke's decision at the end of DA2. If he disapproved of alliance... That means your Hawke picked templars' side, right?

So after a short break and some deliberation I decided to skip Descent but do the main quest for Hakkon, this way when I get around to next 100% playthrough I'll be less tired of it.

So Caspian freed the hold-bear, beat in some Avvar skulls and met Inquisitor Amer-person. He was an elf, but decided to let the world keep believing he was a human noble because pfft, he didn't care. Then he Stomped Hakkon-dragon in to the ground.

For his last act as Inquisitor before the Trespasser time jump, Dickquisitor Caspian Trevelyan will set up the wedding of Lord Pierren desRosier and Celeste Thibault - because if Caspian can't have his heart's desires no one will!

.........

I wanted to write a Greed-ish post as always, but somehow my imagination won't let me.

Uhm, well....

Greed finished all side-quests in the Basin and now only has On Ameridan's Trail left (beside Guests of the Hold).

He looted all Veilfire-Quarz nodes (I tried that F + Esc cheat, but I can't get it to work  <_<) but still needs to loot the Dragon skull for Ice Dragon Bone.

At the moment he's back in Skyhold for some supply restocking, putting his loot away and doing some war table missions. (eg. A Conspiracy of Dunces )

I'm gonna miss the commentary from Solas towards Prof Kenric trying to remember Fen'Harel's name, but I'm gonna leave him at Skyhold for the whole DLC this time. :P

So, Rikki Lavellan is now an assassin and dating Josie after helping her reinstate her family's fortunes. But Leliana is being the protective big sister and warns Rikki that if Josie gets hurt, he'll find himself at the receiving end of a sharp blade.

Main story wise, it's a coin toss between Adamant and the Winter Ball.

As for Nymisa, she dyed her hair and armour black/purple to match her Necromancy magic. She's still busy with conquering Thedas, but after that, the b!tch will attend Empress Celene's bash and scare a few dignitaries :D

Maya the Artificer harassed her crew to "Get a move on!" all the way from Skyhold to the Frostback Basin. She was in a hurry to make good on Solas's tip before something or someone intervened. It was a trial bringing the egg-headed snoot along to the Temple of Mythal, but if his tip paid off, Maya would at least be able to return to Valta and the Deep Roads.

Maya had little patience for researchers, for buckles, for legends and for bug-a-boos of ancient history. All she wanted was to get to the island in the lake. On the way, they ran into a pack of nasty gurguts and Maya took a spill from her pony, landing in a mucky pond and taking a wad of gurgut spit to the back of the head.

After the beasties were killed, Vivienne took a look at Maya's hair and said, "I'm sorry, my dear, but it is a total loss. You will have to cut it at the shoulder, the same way you had it in the Deep Roads."

Great, yet another delay. Funny that twice now, some accident had happened to mess with her hair. In the Storm Coast, right before entering the Deep Roads, some darkspawn ichor had messed up her do. Now it was muck and gurgut spit. Why can't she have long hair and fight critters at the same time?

Anyway, after a quick dagger cut by Viv, the fishing village was easy to find and her crew took care of a couple of belligerent primitives running some kind of protection racket over the fishmongers.

But frustration seemed to be the by-word of the day. The fisherman wouldn't loan out his boat unless his boss said it was okay. These primitives had more bureaucracy and red-tape than the Chantry!

So off to the Stone-Bear Hold they went, where they caught the tail end of some kind of primitive sporting event. Over ram breeding rights?

Spoiler

The boss lady seemed to be a straight dealer. She chastised the fisherman for being an officious arse and gave permission immediately.

Spoiler

She also mentioned stuff about a lost bear and making an impression on the clan, but Maya had no patience for such stuff. She got out while the getting was good.

Next stop, the haunted island of the Sky Lady!

Gwenyn is becoming quite the Great Bear magnet. Another one showed up at the Veridian mine and one while she was hunting for smuggler's letters. That's 8 so far - I've only ever encountered one or two on other playthroughs. She's on her way to the Trial of the Hermit.

So I have been practically living in Thedas lately and only coming to the real world to eat and sleep.  So finished up the descent DLC, beat the crap out of Corypheus, and started running around the crossroads in the Trespasser DLC.  Also started a new character, think I will make him a templar, of course I have three new characters in the starting stages of the game.  I do that so friggin much.

Is that how it works? I activate the anvil thingies until they don't light up anymore. So, two anvil whooshes and a face is disabled? This is what I wasn't getting before, so thank you!

Yeah, and if that is a titan, or what's left of one, would using the Anvil even work if it was done some place else? We know from ghost-Leliana that lyrium can bring people back from the dead. Maybe that's how golems were created too, and the where is as important as the what.

Congrats. I just unlocked Emprise du Lion, but still having no go. I currently have about 400 snofleur leather, which in a way is good because of the cold resistance (need it for Jaws of Hakkon when that comes). But I won't stop until I get that masterwork!

You can also sell the the pelts for pretty decent gold. Farming the beasties is win-win. Even if the RNG is mean to you, it just means more gold in the pocket.
