I didn't do any but the first Blight Orphans quest, 'cause I wanted this ending:
Spoiler
Does that ending not trigger if you continue the questline, I remember wondering why it didn't trigger the last time I played Awakening?

I know it doesn't if you do all of them, but I'm not sure if you do more than the first one but not all. I don't think it does though.
Gwenyn and Sera played pranks on the advisers (finally, it's taken some time for them to get friendly) and something tells me that Varric is getting ready to play Wicked Grace - I got the two Josies, naked Cullen bug
.
Gwenyn, Bull, Solas and Dorian travelled to the Frostback Basin in search of the body of the last Inquisitor (loot and mayhem!). Bull and Dorian were getting very chatty, so this bodes well for their romance. Fingers crossed, as I know it's not always that simple. Their flirting and sniping is always funny and knowing that they might get together lends an extra dimension to it.
She hasn't completed much of the main quest yet, other than take the boat to The Lady's Rest, she's mostly been getting to know the Avvar at Stone Bear Hold, closing rifts and taking out some hostile wildlife.
Inspired by PapaCharlie and Maya's antics, I decided to try and take down the Despair Demons at level 22. I've never managed it before but was up for an attempt. Gwenyn used the Heartstring Bow, for extra fire damage and heal on kill, although a lot less crit chance than her crafted bow. The first attempt was a disaster and I was expecting wipe after wipe, but the second time worked out, mainly due to a bit of cheesing with MO tonic and Hail of Arrows. The AI did really well - I was proud of those guys
.
I made an elf. A DW elf broad. And I made her tattoos in such a way that they are not showing at all. I really don't like face tattoos. I'll take a picture. Swearsies. I've been thinking about elves in general.. How come they can be 2H warriors? Or even S&S. They just seem so waifish to be able to lift a weapon that heavy.

I know the answer!
Nice job! AI did do well. I'd expect IB to be down pretty quickly. And all that without Spike Trap or Antivan Fire. LMAO. As it is, daggers are really short swords and literally as heavy as I think Juliana can lift. She needs to hit the weight room.
F****ng bitter Hawke!
(I started Here Lies the Abyss whit Issaar)

Thanks, I'm still in shock
. Bull is a pretty good tank, not optimal but I need him for RP reasons. I wasn't sure how he'd fare on NM/trials but he's doing well. The Aegis took up the Spike Trap spot and I'm not even sure how helpful it was in that fight.
After constantly going back and forth between my templar and rift mage I think I am burning out on DAI, afterall I did finish up a previous playthrough last week. I might just roll with an Aeducan in DAO.
I have rolled a human rogue Inquisitor. My intent is to begin with an immature noble who resents the expectations that comes with a privilege she's not exactly aware of but gets to the benefits of regardless. When responsibility/power is actually given to her, she's shocked but takes it on. At first in a "haha, I finally get the respect I deserve" greedy mercenary way. But when her somewhat sheltered personality is actually exposed to the horrors and tragedies of real war, and people are actually treating her as -whole- person, rather than just a body to play the part, she softens and matures.
This is different from my sheltered do gooder human mage, She was diplomatic with occasional sarcasm, and was sheltered and felt kinda neutral about parents she hardly remembered. Also different from my pragmatic, wise, diplomatic-all-the-way, absolutely loyal to her clan yet with modern views, logical elf mage. Both seemed to embrace their destinies, make the best of it. My rogue is going to have fun after she gets past the resentful part.
Youngest of a noble family, expected to take up religion? if not that, marry and have babies? Mara decided early on that if she wasn't "going to be a Player, she just wouldn't play." And she would do as she darn well pleased. Her parents were not happy and her siblings simply pretended she wasn't alive for the most part. It was easy, considering she spent as little time as possible at home. Mara consorted with shady characters but she wasn't stupid enough to get herself in real trouble. Yet. Her parents really twisted her arm to go to the Conclave and she reluctantly agreed. She was curious about all the fuss anyway; between the mysterious mages (she'd never met one) and the stuffy templars (oodles of boring do gooder family members who always knew what was best for her.)
A big memory gap. Mara resented being chained but was mostly confused when two women came into question her, accuse her of causing the Breach. Like she would put some crazy painful magical green spark in her hand on purpose! As they approached the Breach, she came to admire the strong woman, Cassandra, who led her forward. Maybe she was a Seeker, but she seemed incapable of the boring politics required to be friends with everyone. Mara liked such strong rough personalities, they reflected her own, and that meant she could understand where their motivations came from. Solas was merely a curiosity, and did share his opinion a lot. Mara doesn't know how she feels about him yet, although she admires the power of magic he seems to wield if not the mage behind it. And Varric? Varric was a man after her own heart and she knew they would be fast friends.
So, Mara closed a few rifts, but man, could she feel the strain behind closing that big one. Made total sense to her that she blacked out. Was rather worrisome that she passed out and nearly died over three days. Mara regretted the tone of her voice when she asked where she was of that elven servant that came in. Even if it did look like the elven girl was eating chap stick. Mara was eager to rid of the mark, and jumped at the idea that they could close the breach with the help of either rebel group. It was an irony that it would be the politics she disregarded as often as possible that would get her access to either group. Really? Mara has a hand that closes rifts. The rebels had the power to help her close the big rifts. Should be obvious that they should meet. Geez! So, off to the Hinterlands to make Chantry connections of all things. Pfft.
Meeting with Giselle was... interesting. She heard the woman's words but she wasn't ready to absorb them yet so she let them sit in the back of her mind. She was no one to pin anyones hopes on... And never had been. On her way to visit the Horsemaster to procure horses that would help the organization she unfortunately was apart of (stupid hand), she came across and read the journals of a hunter and a healer. A templar tried to rape a dying woman. What even... horrible. Mages and templars are attacking everyone, disregarding warnings from Solas. Mara realized her thoughts of troubles at home paled in comparison to what was going on. Like, she hung out with some shady sorts but so far, it seemed like everyone who had gotten a dagger in the back had pretty much deserved it. Mass casualties including innocents just skittered into pockets of horror in her mind. Maybe she was growing a little, but she certainly wouldn't admit it to her mother. Corporate Vale and Cassandra were unanimously right that the Mages and the Templars didn't care who got caught up in their war. When asking the Horsemaster for horses didn't immediately result in, "Absolutely, ser, save the world and thanks." Mara straight up asked him if he had a problem with her because seriously? ugh. blah blah make sure the horses live. blah blah kill some wolves. Was she to ever get away from this errand girl business? Everytime she asked someone for more information, she kicked herself, because it gave her yet one more errand. If she was going to take care of everything, they needed to give her better... something. Pay? Title? Respect? Give it already.

Nothing. Stuck in the bad future. Motivate me because I haven't played in days.
Well this afternoon I started out an Aeducan warrior in DAO, after Behlen's scheming got Trian killed and Duran (yeah I went with the default name oh well) exiled, Duran got recruited into the Grey Wardens. Right now I am at Ostagar and just met Alistair.

I think the scene at the end of that quest is pretty awesome. That would be motivation for me.
I've been really surprised at how well a "resentful why is this happening to me -fine!" Inquisitor mentality is represented via voiceacting and dialogue choices. I'm using the american female voice this round and it's nailing the delivery every time.
Also, because I've always played before, "Yay, Warden, join up!" I'd missed some of Blackwall's best lines.
Bw:"Who are you?"
Inq "I've had a lot of people call me different things lately."
Bw:"Well, I'm talking to you, so stop dancing." I was like, whoa! I never knew you had this much bite, Blackwall!
then
Inq: "What can one Grey Warden do?"
Bw: "Save the ****** world if pressed." Super intense eyes. Wow. It made me think of Origins and how 2.5 Wardens ended the Blight of Fereldan.
I've tried really hard to see the Grey Wardens with less hero worship but it's really hard not to, even knowing Bw isn't who he says he is and Clarel being desperate. Even with the info of books.

My husband said it was too much of an opportunity to miss to have a dwarf named "Duran Duran."
Nymisa along with Bull, Sera and Dorian murdered straggling Red Templars including Carroll (aka. Mr. "Ooo! Cookies!") in Emerald Graves. Nymisa suffered some injuries from a RT Shadow, but her immense healing helped and she took their souls. Cassandra was later called to replace Sera and the team took down the Greater Minstral high dragon.
Ugh.. That "Before the Dawn" quest is taking long to complete with all those stupid war table mission. The lady Necromancer is anxious to lay the beat down on Samson and destroy his armor!
On a side note, weee! I'm playing Uncharted 4!

Here is miss Juliana. I wish that face tattoos were not a default for Dalish elves. I live in Chicago. People with face tattoos are usually up to no good. Like.. carta members. Anyhow, I just made them as pale as possible then went into the creator to get them to "skin tone" to "remove" them. But I shouldn't be forced to have them on her. Just like I'm not forced to have tattoos or scars on any other race (or forced to give a lady dwarf a beard - which is a ridic option if you ask me, but that is neither here nor there and you didn't come here to hear me espouse on racial and gender identity politics).

I'm not sure how I'm going to play her. Except for that I'm making her not very Dalishy. Like she was always kind of a misfit and outcast and never really felt she belonged.
Who is the 0.5? Duncan, because he died at Ostagar? Have some respect for the fallen. It made me think of Origins and how 2.5 Wardens ended the Blight of Fereldan.

If anyone was a fractional Warden, it's Fiona.
