Yeaaaaaah I know that too! The thing is, no matter how long you stay in the CC, the colour's a bit off since the CC is based on greenish lighting, so all make up are often off-coloured. I always rush the Prologue part to go to hinterlands to see the character under natural lighting. Especially when meeting Mother Giselle, there's lots of close shots with several different angles

It'd be great if we could get full 360 degree rotation with decent lighting for sure. So far i've been kinda lucky in that I can tell whether I'm gonna approve a creation by the time Cassandra takes them outside of that first building.... of course, there are many approval checks on the way to Haven, heh.

Back to the Western Approach we go... We're getting close to catching up with Frederic the Draconolgy scholar. There's a red lyrium deposit nearby him so I left Cassandra back at Skyhold, just for a bit, and brought Varric along until we destroyed it. That hairy little so-and-so is getting finicky these days; I didn't get any approval from him for destroying the lyrium. ... Maybe it's maxed out, only I dunno why it would be. He hasn't approved, or disapproved for that matter, of a great deal I've done yet. Didn't get any approval from Vivienne for finding one of her mage tomes either.

 

I forget how the whole conversation went, but she and Blackwall were discussing the mage/templar conflict and he was pressing her on whether she had any sympathy for the mages. He said something about, "if it were a one-on-one battle I know I wouldn't stand a chance against you, but does it really have to be more complicated than to treat others the way you'd want to be treated?" and she answered, very frostily I might add, "Well, you're right about one thing. You wouldn't stand a chance against me."

I always gave him all evidences actually, seems that he really doesn't want to be a noble & can actually do any good to help people out there

 

I mean, after Halamshiral, I kinda think that nobles are... vain.

I was able to craft heavy armor for my mage.

 

What I did is I had the sturdy battlemaster mail or if you have sturdy battlemaster armor, use silverite to get your armor rating. If you use any other material, it will not work. I tried this a few minutes ago and it worked. All companions can wear it. It even looks good on a few of them.

Oops, sorry if I was unclear in my post... I meant Viv and Blackwall. They have a serious hate on for each other. It's been interesting to listen to as it unfolds.

IIRC there are 3 materials that will enable No Class Restriction to armors right?

Snoufleur (Leather)

Silverite (Metal)

 

the problem is, except Silverite, the colours are...not so good.

Adahsulahn Lavellan spent most of yesterday traipsing around the Western Approach with Bull, Dorian and Varric wishing they would talk.  No dice.  Send Varric home and add Solas to the group and suddenly we get banter - and here I thought the dwarf would be the chatty one.  Maybe Varric was just contemplating the next chapter of "Swords and Shields."

 

Had a nice afternoon by the lake with Cullen - maybe I should bribe Varric to give him a copy of "Swords and Shields" too.  Poor guy would probably die of embarrassment but Adahsulahn might get to have some fun. 

 

Cole was very sweet discussing Adahsulahn's new rift mage specialty and Vivienne was almost nice after we picked up the last book she wanted.  Too bad her "furniture trolling" stunt earlier had no effect on a Dalish mage who would rather sleep on the ground anyway.

 

Killed the Abyssal High Dragon, much to Bull's enjoyment and picked up the last mosaic pieces for the Western Approach and some other nice loot.  Maybe we'll go after the dragon in the Exalted Plain today.  If we have time we might even pick up Viv's wyvern heart.

Bohlin got the Inquisitors Helm after killing the High Dragon in the Emerald Graves. He's taking Solas, Cassandra and Sera to the haunted mansion, and is enjoying Sera absolutely freaking out.

Okay, so.... Never thought I'd be saying anything negative about knight-enchanters, but tempest archers are much better dragon killers than knight-enchanters.

 

Well, maybe "better" isn't the right word, but they are certainly more efficient.

 

And awesome. 

 

Like... ****ing awesome. 

 

Harold and his go-to gang -- Cassandra, Blackwall and Vivienne -- jumped through all the hoops that Frederic the draconologist made them jump through, up to the point where they had to go back to Skyhold and research an ancient text. At Skyhold, I thought it over and decided that, instead of going right back to the Western Approach to take down the Abyssal High Dragon, I really, really wanted to get those last four shards in the Hinterlands, and this time I wouldn't be sneaky about it. 

 

This time we would be dragonslayers. And the Fereldan Frostback was at the top of the list. A short while later we scratched her off the list. 

 

Holy crap. No one even died this time. And we only used 3 health potions.

 

We closed distance with her fairly quickly, running right past all the dragonlings in the way, and dodging all the fireballs she threw at us. Harold's Long Shot ability really shone here, and a couple Long Shots and one 'Thousand Cuts' later, we took her down to half-health fairly quickly. Cassie and Blackwall may have helped a little ... Vivienne kept barriers on us all like a champ, and when Frosty took off to her high hidey-hole, she played right into Harold's Long Shot hands. 

 

And then the red templars showed up. 

 

The hell did they come from? 

 

We couldn't let them steal the glory, and possibly the loot, so we had to deal with them, and that's where we ended up using the three health potions, cuz Frosty took advantage of the distraction to cook us a little bit. 

 

Didn't matter in the end. Soon the red templars were dealt with, and the dragonlings were dealt with, and shortly afterwards Frosty herself was dealt with. I'm still a little surprised at how quickly we took her down, after it took three tries in my first PT.

Anyway, it was so much fun that we're gonna go do it again, out there in the Western Approach.

Aderyn Lavellan defeated Corypheus and won the day.  Here's her victory and celebration in screenshots.  I unintentionally encountered a hilarious bug that had her romance both Cullen and Solas at the same time so double the feels at the ending haha
