Wait, so that means you can't play DLCs either? o_O

Not without removing the mods first. :(

I actually kinda like the fact that PJ mods don't work in Trespasser. I can finally use stuff from the wardrobe without having to disable everything else (or re-merge).

Andreia and team attacked Adamant, killed a bunch of demons (and a few Wardens), fell into the Fade, met the "Divine," escaped the Fade, and now she's back at Skyhold looking for someplace to hide. She went to the garden, but Morrigan was there, so that was out. She went to the barn to talk to Blackwall but he wasn't there (he's chopping wood but Andreia didn't notice) so she left. Then she went to the Great Hall on the way to her quarters, but soldiers were guarding her throne which means Josie has someone lined up for her to judge so nope. She's currently in the library with Dorian.

I'd always thought they were just there for formality. But actually guarding it? Like one of the folks we catch can break free and get us?

Speaking of prisoners, I think that weird basement library is where Alexius the Tranquil/Agent should work and was a total wasted opportunity for using that space. :/

Totally unrelated, but I am running into the issue that I can't post in the Dragon Age Origins, DA2, or Combat portion of DAI. Is there some sort of request I'm supposed to put in?

The journey of Warden Drako Amell thus far,

The tale continues,

It's taken a few days, but we reach the ruin Ariane mentioned. The place reeks of Darkspawn corruption. I can feel them all around us, but they are scattered. If we attack quickly when we come across them, we should be able to fend them off easily even in these numbers. The Darkspawn and tainted beasts don't bother me. My ring... it's been active all day... I THINK it warms when Morrigan is thinking about me or she's stressed, but why would it be active for an extended period... The runes only allow us to sense one another. With enough concentration a feeling or a single thought can be shared. The connection is extremely limited... and brief  It shouldn't be active this long. Ariane noticed that I fiddle with the ring a lot. I think she is beginning to realize who personal this search is for me.

The ruin itself is remarkably well preserved, all things considered. I could spend a year in here just studying the murals in the halls. One of them in particular fascinated me. I made the mistake of taking out the tomb I stole from the Circle to try and identify the importance of the figure... Finn had a minor conniption that ended when Ariane picked a small mushroom out of the wall and ate it. Finn fainted.

After Finn collected himself, we pressed on. We have a few scraps with the beasties within, but nothing too tough. The worst that happens in reaching the broken mirror is that fin got dirt on in his robe. What a tragedy... When we reach the Eluvian, Finn actually becomes useful again in studying the remains of the relic. Ariane goes into a half remembered legend of a story of a rumor about the elves of old. I wasn't listening. My ring... it's still warm... is she in trouble? What does it mean... My contemplation is interrupted by the sound of the locals rising to kick us out. We have what we came for. Time to go...

...we find a secure spot to camp for the night and plan our next move. Cadash Thaig. Never thought I would return there... The ring has calmed down some, but it still hasn't returned to it's dormant state. I've tried calling out to her, but she won't or can't respond... The Magisters used Eluvians for communicating between cities, but they were only able to partially activate the Eluvians. Of course , they weren't trained by the Witch of the Wilds... What are you up to Morrigan. Why do you want this damned thing so badly? What does it actually do?... The tomb I have on the subject is obnoxiously vague... perhaps even misleading... I'm only half way through though. Maybe the second half will make sense of the first half... "Cross roads..." what cross roads? To where?.... What does that even mean?...

Finished act 3 with Katashi yesterday and started his Inquisitor today. Katashi had a lot of "dad" moments in his last act. Lot's of "I'm proud of you" and some "I'm not angry, just disappointed in you" with Isabela. Thinking about head-canoning that he started a relationship with a seamstress from Lowtown and they spawned a few kids that Varric left out of the tale because they were kids. Anyways he ended up shanking Anders (because his actions caused alot of people to get killed) and then siding with the mages (because he is neutral good by nature). Then everybody abandoned him and he spent the rest of his life alone and on the run. Poor boy.

Katashi also completed Legacy somewhere in middle of act 3, first siding with Janeka and then switching to Larius.

His Inquisitor was an elf named Adahl Lavellan. A bit curious what gender and age people might guess they are.

Spoiler

I was thinking the other day, when I was still doing my Solasmance and kind of hating on the Egghead.... I thought how funny it would be to make my Solasmance Elf Quiz as ugly as possible and him still acting Gaga over her like he does and just laughing and laughing. But that got me thinking about older Inquisitors in general; how old can one really make an Inquisitor considering they start at level one. I mean, I suppose you can say that even a 40 ish old Elven Archer still never shot to kill moving humanoid intelligent targets, but then again, those should actually be easier; they're bearing down on you, not trying to get away like most prey. So maybe they've picked up a weapon every now and then, but mostly can afford goods at the local butcher. We have to work a bit harder to make an Older Quiz work. So, I find it interesting you tried to make your elf young, but especially young. And I like how it ties in with you goal to apparently romance no one. And that you picked Viv (Know it all Mom) and Iron Bull (know it all Dad) and Cole (clueless to humanity, he is child like.)

Romancing the Wall: Judgement Day

Spoiler

Yay, my Romancing the Wall series is done until Trespasser.

i was reviewing all of my writing about Mara up to this point. Right at the Scene with Dorian's dad, my writing style for this story drastically changed towards the very detailed without my having officially chosen to do so. I am amused.

In other news? I may have decided to kill Elsabeth, my second playthrough elf I chose for Solasmancing. I think I had no idea how to be an elfy elf. I also think I was more interested in doing and choosing things I hadn't chosen before than playing a character that made sense. I mean, she has the least elfy name too! My humans have more interesting names! I don't like her; she is boring. And her decision not to drink from the Well of Sorrows, a well of a major chunk of elven knowledge? Because Solas told her not to. ugh. And she's not passionate enough to still love him two years later in Trespasser, and the only friggin kiss I want from that elf is the Tragic one he gives as he takes "my" arm. Perhaps my sudden thoughts on this was Ameridan. He was an elfy elf and yet not an elfy elf. He was an elfy elf I could respect. I will study what it is like to be an elfy elf with Warden Abelas and brush up on my lore. and do my Solasmance elf right next time. Elsabeth will have to die.

Lost an hour or so sleep to my 3rd try at a Quiz Warrior sexy enough for Dorian. I feel pretty satisfied with it. I used this: http://65.media.tumb...mr38o3_1280.png

For inspiration.

Until next time!

Andreia finally came out of the library and made the rounds to talk to everyone about what happened at Adamant. She purposely left Varric for last since his best friend  Emma Hawke was left in the Fade. :crying:

Then, rather than deal with judgments or planning the next move at the WT (and really to avoid Morrigan hijacking the meeting) she rounded up her team and headed to frozen Emprise du Lion. Time to kick some Red Templar butt. B)

I'm working on the 10 agent achievement-before choosing mages or templars. I've got 7 now and am working on Corporal Vale and the Horsemaster. I'll have to deal with the renegade mages to recruit Vale, and have set up the watchtower portion for horsemaster. Cleaning House will follow, and that should be enough for the achievement.

The apostate caches was a pain. They all seem in out of the way places, particularly this one of a mountain that for the life of me was very hard to get to. It's a good thing I only have to do it once a playthrough

There's an achievement for 10 agents?? (Starts counting on fingers and toes ...) Jana, Speaker Anais, Lord Berand, Clemence, Master Dennet, Enchanter Ellendra, Ritts, Tanner, Belle, .... nooooooooo! I only ever get nine every playthrough. Well, in every abbreviated playthrough, which is all I do now. I probably did more agents in my canon playthrough.

The Irregulars are a pain, I almost never get that agent. I can't be bothered with the ram meat part.

 How can you not have every achievement by now??!

I read somewhere that you can kill rams around Haven, instead of the ones in the Hinterlands, for the ram meat. I usually just control Varric since Bianca + explosive shot will usually 1-shot kill them.

If you get all the agents in the Hinterlands (8, I think?) then you only need 2 more after that for the achievement.

Belinda 2.0. Much happier with her look now.

Spoiler

Height comparisons. The shot with Varric just cracks me up for some reason.

Spoiler

I can't decide what she should wear in Haven. Antaam-saar is good eye-candy, but the rational part of my brain sees snow and a bare belly and thinks someone should tell the tall girl to put a jacket on. The Shokra-taar is too warrior/linebacker looking for a rogue. The Fires of the Inquisition DLC armor is too magey for a rogue. The "Welcome to Haven" starter armor (Scout Armor) is more reasonable, but I don't like the giant butt flap -- I might breakdown and add the "Buttflap Be Gone" mod. The modded Skyhold PJ looks really good, and is sensible for the climate, but it kind of feels a cheat to have Skyhold stuff in Haven.

I can't imagine not feeding the poor starving refugees-similar to not cleaning out the gangs in Denerim in DAO. It's just one of the things a hero does.

8 in Hinterlands-if you count Clemence as Hinterlands,One in Val Royeaux, and then you decide if you want to go Templar for Ser Barris or make Alexius an Agent in Skyhold with the mages. If you prefer the mages you can get the Blades of Hessarian with the Storm Coast as well.

No ...  I lack ambition.

Let's see what DA Keep says about my career:

DAI Accomplishments: 83%
Rewards: 50%
DLC: 80%

For achievements, I'm missing:

  • Stargazer (wow, really? I thought I unlocked all those doodads in a single PT -- I think I earned that one, but didn't get registered)
  • Keymaster (I have definitely unlocked all the doors in the Forbidden Oasis temple, what a ripoff!)
  • Quartermaster (that one I can believe I didn't do, who wants to do 20 requisitions?)
  • Firestarter (JoH DLC, light all the fire pits, I think I missed one  :crying: , only did that quest once so far, I could probably dig up the save, but, meh)
  • I don't have any of the Trials challenges, except for Emperor, which you get just by turning Walk Softly on and fighting mooks
    • Wait a second! I don't have Trial of the Hermit, the Great Bear one? After all those Great Bears I tried to farm? Another ripoff, but in this case, not enough Great Bears showing up when I have the Trial on, as I've whined about before
  • I'm missing Lateral Thinker from Trespasser, but I have the others

I can't imagine not feeding the poor starving refugees-similar to not cleaning out the gangs in Denerim in DAO. It's just one of the things a hero does.

Very true, but my last playthrough, a Carta dwarf, was as far from a hero as you can get without sending Cole packing. On the other hand, Stennis before that was a hero, so I guess I did the Irregulars then. I've got the achievement, probably on my canon run, in any case.

I never get the Blades of Hessarin any more, I prefer farming those guys as enemies. Besides, I don't like killing his mabari!

Maybe because when I see "Hessarian Hound" my brain converts it to "Hell Hound," but I don't mind killing them or the leader guy at all. I usually headcanon the Blades as my ace-in-the-hole-giving-me-accurate-intelligence spies when doing Bull's mission there. Gatt can get stuffed.

Yeah, I never open the Fallow Mire unless I'm desperate for Dawn Lotus. I like those two battles, rift and the final boss, but I'm usually in a rush to do something else, then I can't be bothered.

My tenth is most likely to be Michel de Chevin, since I always clear the keep in EdL.

AGH. GOSH DANG IT CASSANDRA, STAP STEALING MY GUYS WILL YOU? Josie needs one too.

My current playthrough - A Male Mage Trevelyan - supposes to be a Josie romance but I'm losing the battle though - Cassandra is my new Alistair and so...Aaron might end up with Cassandra, like it or not.

Well, while everyone is going full out on their adventures, I'm just going to say that after every main mission, it's a beeline to Cassandra

You are wiser than words... I have to avoid speaking to Cassandra - it's the only WAY I can successfully romance Josie.

I submit my 4th CC try at an Inquisitor to romance Dorian. The Inquisitor I'm shooting for is a faithful Andrastrian who takes his duty as Inquisitor seriously. Templar Warrior. He will be a "Hero"; in every sense of the word. He will be pretty enough for Dorian while charisma laser beams out from his strongly lined eyes. My other goal was that he would not be Caucasian.

This would be new for me in a variety of ways; my characters have always been agnostic or straight up atheist. I have never played a Warrior. And I've never played stereotypical Hero, either.

Varras; 4th try

Spoiler

I feel like my last Inquisitor try was pretty enough to possibly be a male model and certainly had the look of a hero about him. But he had no character to him; in a world of elves and qunari and totally accepted full face tattoos, an aesthetically placed scar wasn't enough to excite me.

Tyrus; 3rd try

Spoiler

My 4th try has freckles, scars, and a hard to miss tattoo. Also, I need to settle, because I'm running out of Tevinter names I can stand.  :P
