I named my canon Quizzie Artemis because it was the name of the Greek Goddess of Hunt, and plus I like the name Artemis too.
Was she an Elf so you were thinking about Andruil? too?

I give a funeral to Elsabeth. I think I was going for "pixie" elf when I made her, but my CC skills were not so grand.
Elsabeth was a very confused pacifist elf who let her boyfriend, Solas, boss her around. I was trying for a modern thinking elf but, lacking any true knowledge of the elfy elfness she'd be turning her back on, I didn't know what ways/thoughts she needed to be to be "modern." The only thing interesting about her was that she fell for Cullen; then steered her heart away because she valued future elf babies over the flare of true love.
Goodbye, Elsabeth. I spent roughly 60 hours with you; you were an exploratory character and I failed you.
Was she an Elf so you were thinking about Andruil? too?
No, actually Artemis was my guy though; see my huge, comic sans, sig, lol.
Although his sister was going to be Diana Lavellan though.
Well, it has been a while but I spent last night in Thedas with Kelebek. She got quite a fair bit done. She carved a path through the demons and undead in the Fallow Mire to defeat the Avar and rescue the Inquisition soldiers. She ventured in to the Exalted Plains to help the Dalish and give Solas a gear upgrade as well as helping Solas find his friend. She explored the Western Approach a little, including to the Shimmering Mine where she found an armour upgrade for Blackwall.
While playing on the Xbox I swear I never noticed the shimmering mirage like effect of pure heat emanating from the plain just behind where you fight the high dragon:

Hard to capture in this screenshot but it looked so empty and desolate.
Speaking of empty, she also ran through the Hissing Wastes, getting a hold of the masterwork duel blade dagger schematic as well as the masterwork spiked longbow schematic. She also bought the superior scout armour schematic and luckily enough decided against buying the schematic for the superior battlemaster gear because she found that randomly in a chest in the Emprise (which she opened up for farming tier three mats). The Inquisition is currently holding in as far as Drakon's Rise.
So Kelebek is completely outfitted in tier three gear with her spiked longbow and Sera is wearing her tier three gear too but hasn't received her daggers yet because I don't have any hidden blade fade-touched materials. I haven't farmed enough to outfit Blackwall yet either. Kelebek still needs over see the repairs about Skyhold but she did upgrade the tower for the Templars. Once she had completed the upgrades she found Lord Trifles Minutae standing at the very top and he asked her her first quizquisition question:
"Who was the Archdemon of the first blight?" Luckily Kelebek is a history buff and knew the answer ![]()
So that is where I left Kelebek, I think I'll send her back to the Hinterlands to finish off the zone and then I'll return to the Western Approach in earnest because I do love that place.
I do have two screenshots of things that confused me, under the cut:
I... I can't believe it. I refuse to believe it! You don't have all achievements? *gasps*-snip-

I think the triangle is some sort of inside joke with the creators. At least I'm pretty sure you aren't missing anything in game.
The guy still lives (Poke him with the stick to be sure). I think they are a group of street actors and are doing a scene. At least sometimes when he falls over the lady congratulates him on good performance.

Played around with Gurner yesterday, but there are guests prowling around so no essay for him.
But there is a picture instead, just for fun. ![]()
I... I can't believe it. I refuse to believe it! You don't have all achievements? *gasps*
I have a thing for achievements in BioWare's games. I have to get them all! *Pokemon-like theme plays in the background* I get that not everyone needs them. You just caught me by surprise with your confessionIs that important?
I don't think I've ever gotten 100% achievements in any game I've ever played. Like I said, I lack ambition. The only thing I do 100% is cover every square inch of the official maps, and a bit of the unofficial as well.
I know the feeling....getting all the achievements is the only reason I played Insanity/Hard/NM in ME/DA. But then I played NM again in DAI so.....eh, maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment? ![]()
AGH. GOSH DANG IT CASSANDRA, STAP STEALING MY GUYS WILL YOU? Josie needs one too.
My current playthrough - A Male Mage Trevelyan - supposes to be a Josie romance but I'm losing the battle though - Cassandra is my new Alistair and so...Aaron might end up with Cassandra, like it or not.
You are wiser than words... I have to avoid speaking to Cassandra - it's the only WAY I can successfully romance Josie.
Shhhhh its okay
Succumb to Cassandra.... She's waiting for you.... "... but my heart lies beneath all that. It yearns for these things it cannot have (aka you
)"
I understand though. For my second playthrough, I was going to romance Dorian because his character appealed to me. But when Cassandra sounded so disappointed when I said it was Dorian and I... I reloaded my last save and romanced Cassandra again :'(

You gotta try it at least once. Stirring the fires of passion within the ice queen is a mission all it's own.

I'm not entirely sure who you were talking to? Is Cass considered an ice queen? But if you were talking to me and of Cass, then I do intend to romance her.
I seem to be enjoying the Character Creator of DAI too much. Problem is, by actually coming up with a list of my next set of playthroughs for each LI, I now have character backgrouns simmering in my head. I have this urge to put a face to these stories in my head, and so here I am playing with sliders.
I've settled on Varas, a Trevelyan for Dorian; his face tells me stories. A bisexual noble with a calculating mother who has used his good looks as "favors" to friends higher up in the noble chain, (I know, sounds like a sick ****** to me too.) He will flirt with Cass and Cullen, but instantly fall in lust with Dorian when he finally meets him. Despite his sexual history being a bit different, he is otherwise idealistic, has always performed his duties, and is strongly Andrastian.
The next character simmering in my brain is my replacement Solasmance. I've joked about making an ugly Quiz for Solas for hilarity purposes, but I know I won't be committed to 60+ hours with someone I don't like the looks of myself. So, it got me thinking about "older" Inquisitors. The back story I have for this character right now is somewhere between 40-55 years of age. She will be the mage "apprentice", merely a title at this point, to an even older Keeper who is still going strong herself and has not yet needed to be replaced. She will have already married, and had three elven children. She is a widower; her relationship with her husband was more like a loving friendship than particularly passionate. She's always yearned for more excitement in her life and has occasionally considered taking up a lover. I want a complexion with wrinkles but not old lady jowls. Thinner lips. Once black hair starting to turn gray.
I think the reason I disliked the Solasmance, other than it being very lacking in content, is that I thought the only sort of elf that would like him is the "awestruck student" stereotype. But bringing in an older inquisitor inspired the idea that rather, it could merely be one master of their field talking to another master of their field. Two respected colleagues, each having their own side of things to share. It put them on a even power field that I could appreciate far better.
Starting to trim the to-do list. Finished up Emprise by killing all 3 dragons, found and reforged the Sulevin Blade, and took care of a bunch of personal issues. Thom Rainier outed himself, and Andreia decided to give him another chance; Cole became more human; Cass has a fun new book to read; Varric discovered his girlfriend is how Coryface got his red lyrium; and Sera made cookies.
While Cullen continues searching for Samson's main base, Andreia trekked out to the Hissing Wastes to see what the Venatori are trying to dig up. So far, all she's found is sand. Lots and lots of sand.

Thank-you! I wish I knew I could poke the dude, I'll make sure to do that next time I see them.

Kelebek managed to get a bit lucky. She hadn't made Sera's daggers yet because she want to make them with hidden blades masterworks, but managed to get two 5x hidden blades drops while clearing out the bone tower in the Emprise du Lion. Of course they don't stack properly so she went to the Exalted Planes and killed the undead on the ramparts. Two 4x masterworks dropped within two runs....much easier overall than it could have been. So now Sera has both duel bladed daggers made and has a set of masterworks left in case I want to upgrade her to t4 weapons - given as this is a nightmare run it is a distinct possibility.
I also feel a little bad forcing daggers on her, but I want her on team with Kelebek and it is how it's gonna be.
Blackwall also has his armour made so now what is needed is a t3 sword and shield for Blackwall and like...everything of Solas' needs upgrading.
Also managed to fit in Dorian's personal quests and Kelebek whisked him away from the tavern so he didn't need to listen to any more of Halward's BS. Something I haven't done in a while.

You think that Bianca and Varric actually still "see" each other?
Andreia kept the romance going too?

And I tried again with Older Elf Quiz for Solas. Despite the fact I feel like she's still a bit too pretty (should have decreased the pinkness of her lips) I think I'm pretty satisfied with Anise.
Additional feelings received from her; She's a quick thinker, taking stock of the blame that is being laid at her feet. She is not too bothered by the extensive loss of human life. She is more wary of the shem around her than the crazy painful mark in her hand. Anise is no stranger to magic, she'd figure it out eventually; but surrounded by humans who think her the death of their religious leader? She must tread carefully.
I think I'm getting a good feel for the Dalish Elf mind. A little bit. Maybe. ![]()
Exploring Skyhold mostly. It's so big you can easily get lost in it. My current challenge is trying to find a way to maintain approval with both Varric and Cassandra during their fight over Hawke, but that might be a lost cause.
I followed that up with a visit to Crestwood and the Still Waters quest. I was only going to make a visit to Loghain, but couldn't turn my back on a village infested with undead. Guardian Spirit saved my life more than a few times in the battle for the Keep. and I did have to count on Seras using Revival on me at least once. The battle for the Keep was a little harder than I expected.
Sounds like me on my first playthrough of anything.I'm painfully perfectionist when it comes to dialogue options in DAO. More so than I am when playing other DA games.
I went over every single conversation in Lothering over three times before I settled on a version I approved.
Sounds like me on my first playthrough of anything.
Really? My first playthrough is half game building my character and half me. I don't start second guessing until I have a real character that I'm trying to make the game represent accurately within the confines of the choices given. So I will reload multiple times to find the right dialogue choice, because I haven't tried them all. Do you start with fully formed character when you first play?
