I read dirty Solavellan fanfic, which I don't usually do. I'm concerned I'll just become more and more accustomed to it and then I'll be one of those.

I also tried looking for other people vent to or talk about it with but... no one is interested. I can't just keep this to myself. It is as if sharing my experience with others will cleanse me.

I openly admit -to reading Anders/ Fenris/Hawke combinations of smut- to my husband. You won't become one of those...whatevers.

Can't join you on the Solas fan club wagon though.  ^_^  I can get behind (or in front of  ) Cullen, and maybe even Dorian and Blackwall. But Solas has never given me anything but the friend vibe.

Today in DA, I confronted Erimond in the Western wasteland place, because he was being a jerk-face and enslaving all the Wardens. He messed with my fade mark, which really hurt. But then I closed his rift up. Take that.

He told his army of slaves and demons to kill me. So I said to myself, you know what, fine. You are getting the black hole. And I opened a rift right in the middle of them, and that was the end of the fight. I don't think anyone really had to throw any punches. After all that work, killing those people to bring those demons through, and I sent them right back with a snap of my fingers, I almost feel guilty... nah, just kidding. I don't.

Solasmancer venting comes up from time to time here:

Vent away. You'll get commiseration. Here a recent one:

(DAI Spoilers) Just finished Trespasser, I think the game broke me.

Finally convinced some pals to play the tabletop RPG. I'm struggling to make a convincing "world state" for that campaign and with deciding would year would be fitting to start the campaign. I'm leaning towards 9:44 Dragon, maybe during the Exalted Council, but I guess a campaign during the Mage-Templar War would be interesting as well.

I picked up the Necromancer specialization and have recently been working on Josephine's personal quest, also a few other similar quests.

Next on the mission plan is the Western Approach, but it may take some time before I head over there.

Sorry about the hiccups at the beginning, DAI had some problems =/

That one choice on the bridge had me really conflicted, I kept thinking /What would Pike do? Should I go by meta knowledge, or not?/ then I based my decision on the whole "The direct way" and what Pike then said was in character, so there's that. ^_^

If I may suggest a couple of ideas, how about setting the time period parallel to Act I of DA2? The HoF has just defeated the Blight. The Mage/Templar war has not yet started, so there is a bit more flexibility in how you or the PCs deal with those two institutions. Tensions could be there, but haven't broken out into outright rebellion yet.

Alternatively, how about in the 2 year gap between defeating Coryphish and the Exalted Council? Lots of room for exploring the consequences of the creation of the Inquisition, before it comes to a head in Trespasser.

I like the idea of the two year gap before the Exalted Council. There are a lot of things that happen in Inquisition that are not addressed in Trespasser (like all the stuff revealed in the Descent or the state of Orlais after the civil war ended).

Am I weird? Never wanted to watch someone play all the way through DAI, but suddenly, just because I've interacted with you a few times, I now can't wait to watch all your playing.   Guess I won't need Netflix a while.

I haven't touched Thedas for quite a while (aside from keeping up with some fic). Life's been a bit unimpressive lately, I'm feeling the hankering to go play DAO again. For some reason the thought of killing stuff with Zev, Lels, and Dog just feels like a warm blanket right now.

Finished off the personal quests for Cassandra and Josephine. Poor Josephine with assassins after her, and Cassandra finds out the secrets about her order. I wish her the best on rebuilding the Seekers.

I took out the Hinterlands High Dragon, but had to turn difficulty down to Casual to do it. It might have been possible on Normal if I had been properly able to time using my arcane shield(still think of it as that), but that will come with more experience.

That last shard on top of that rock formation was troublesome, but was able to finish off all the shards in the Hinterlands as well.

Belinda, Qunari dagger rogue, figured that mages would be better than Templars as weapons against the Breach. She took Cass and Solas with her. She thought all the time-travel stuff was confusing and was relieved to get back to reality so that she could slap the rebel mages into irons and haul them off to the Breach.

I used some DAI Cinematic Tools magic to capture a couple of scenes I always miss. You know how when you enter the Docks, you hear an enslaved mage talking about how the Elder One needs more power, but by the time you turn the corner, all that's there are a couple of demons? Well, now you can see what happens. Also, you know how at Connor's door you hear him talking to his demon, but when you open the door, all that's left is a puff of smoke? Well here's what really happens.

Finally, some choice shots along the way.

Nice character design. I like a mage that looks like a Carta thug.

What's so disgusted about his nose? Unless you meant disgusted noise?

I finally made it to the Western Approach to find out Corypheus and the Venatori are controlling the Wardens-although given the results of the latest talk, the Wardens share some culpability too and will suffer a black mark on their record, whatever happens at Adamant. It's definitely something I'll have to talk over with my advisers at Skyhold before moving on to Adamant. As for Still Waters, that will have to wait. Adamant will have to come first.

Just rescued Storvacker. I've done most of the side quests but before heading back to talk to Kenric about what was found on the island, it's arena time.

I swapped out Sera for Cole since the banter between him, Blackwall, and Dorian was exhausted. Just got the bit with Sera excited about recruiting Thomwall as a Jenny. His response: "No one needs to see my arse." And Andreia's thinking, "No one but me, anyhow." Too bad she didn't get an opportunity to chime in on that one.

Should be able to finish this up tomorrow and then move on to Trespasser.

I'll chalk this up to another party banter based storyline I'll never see. :/

Finished JoH and now about half-way done with Trespasser. Next stop is the Vir'Dirthara. It's pretty amusing that nobody likes Divine Viv. Cass called her a tyrant. I'm interested to see what the ending slides get me this time.

Talked to husband for two hours, educating him about each companion from Origins and DA2. Then Each country. All the organizations. And the Political positions/monarchy set up. Also, the Qun, to some extent, as I don't fully understand their setup.

I haven't even brought up Inquisition companions and main goals yet, because it's all of that information combined coming into play. So, It would be hard to describe the Companions and goals of Inquisition without understanding the religion and organizations and monarchies involved. You agree? :P

He now says he's going to have to let this information soak in before hearing any more. He's feeling overwhelmed. Hahahahaha

I just made a dwarf Inquisitor and she allied with some mages and chatted with Cassandra a bit afterwards.  They're going to be great friends.

Finished exploring the Vir Dirthara (brought Varric just to hear him say he didn't write Chapter ???). Got back to the Winter Palace, got yelled at some more, played with the fireworks but quit after about 5 minutes. I scored 73 but it usually takes me ages to get to 80 so I decided to forget it this time. Went back to the previous areas to clear out Solas'....ahem, Fen'Harel's.....gold stash and loot boxes. Can't wait to see his face when he finds out his millennia-old caches are empty.  :P

The wolf statue in the Deep Roads never fails to creep me out. Odd thing....it's daylight there, unless we're still underground but in the middle of a glows-like-the-sun Titan??

Just opened the main gate at the Darvaarad. Will have to finish up tomorrow.

Oh, and last night/this morning I dreamed I was in a qunari re-education camp and got passed a secret message that rescue was coming but I needed to do something or find something to help the help. Never got the chance because everyone started acting weird and creepy before I could figure out what I needed to do. Then I woke up. Stupid game....why can't I dream about nice stuff like Blackwall or Cullen sans armor?! :pinched:
