Well... PS3.

Some would argue the system can't handle it, but this is a very watered down version of the game.

In any case, I hear that one way to prevent it from happening again is to stop moving whenever the game is saving.

Still, I'm afraid of the possibility.

I play on the ps3 and the few times it froze, I would eject the disk from the console and put it back in the console. A few minutes later, I'm back to playing the game

The game froze and all my save files became corrupted.

All but the one from the first minutes of the game.

Not a complete disaster, but a ****** disaster regardless.

.
All of your saves?

How is this possible?
Does PS3 not save in the same way as on a PC?

I have loads of small savegames in my folder. Don't you?

I nominate Varric for the Elmer Fudd hunting hat special :D

EDIT: He's already got the closest thing to a shotgun on Thedas.

Today in the world of Sarajevo Trayvlan, she visited the Sharia qurry were she took out a large area of active for the Red Templars. In fact as she was doing this she was able to track down letters for Cullen on Samson wear abouts, sadly it didn't fully tell us we're he was in the game but we are getting close and closed off their source for Lyruim. Then we went about collecting elf root and a range of metals like Drakestone and sliveraete. We need some rare metals to create some amour and high level weapons for myself and my followers to help fight Corynphus. Then we took a break before we head out again once I get up thankfully will have top gear for it. ;)

On the storm coast, I acquired a new fighting force for the inquisition. However, not all the blades are happy because there are still some rebels attacking me <_<. I wandered further down the coast and there was a spat between a massive giant and a massive dragon. This is the first time the giant won and the dragon flew away. So now I have an angry giant wandering the coast and I am unable to do anything about it (with me being level 7).

I went back to the Hinterlands in order to get some horses. The passageway had wolves so I fought the pack. Solas decided to use a wall of fire spell and Druffy was in the vicinity :pinched:. It was suicide to attack a lv 12 Druffy on nightmare so I tried to escape. I escaped west and I ran into a rift which was a bad situation gone worse and I died. Reloaded and I stealthed around everything until I reached a camp outpost. I spoke with Dennet and I need to do some tasks for the horses.

I noticed a note on a board saying that Druffy is lost and the quest activated. So I am hoping that Druffy has calmed down from our last meeting. I then decided to try some horse racing. I was odds on favourite because it was clear it was a one-horse race from the start. Iron Bull seemed happy so he must have had a secret bet.

Then my control batteries ran out so I couldn't do anymore. :pinched:

I'm sure my other characters are okay, but this one barely made it.

No, nothing like that at all.

At least, that's what I think that happened. I couldn't load them no matter how long I waited or how many times I tried.

Been a busy day for Harold. First, he took Cassie, Bull and Viv to Crestwood to slay the Northern Hunter, and it was, "Whaddaya mean dragons can also shoot lightning bolts instead of fireballs? :pinched: " Was a somewhat tough battle. She may be the 'easiest' dragon overall, but preparation, in terms of electrical resistance gear, makes a difference. Nobody died, but Bull came close. He's still pouting about being left behind at the Western Approach, I guess, because he didn't have anything to say about killing the Northern Hunter. Or maybe he's still hungover.

Then, Harold and Dorian went to Redcliffe. Had to call a do-over on this one because I'd totally forgot to mention the letter to him before we left. When we got there and his father appeared, Dorian turned on Harold and said, "you knew about this???" Oops.  I like Dorian, but even if I didn't, I would never take him into a situation like that blind. I mean, he joined the Inquisition because it's the right thing to do (his words). That merits respect from the guy who's leading the whole shebang, as far as I'm concerned.

Then we went to the Storm Coast to wipe out some red lyrium and red templars. Had to backtrack a long way to find the red templar key and got lost for awhile. Suggestion for the future, Bio -- you know, patch, DLC, next game... whichever. When we go into an interior dungeon, like the red templar cave/fortress on the Storm Coast for example, please change to an interior map for us... pretty please? With Cole's hat on top?

So that left the Storm Coast (except Vinsomer *cough*), the Hinterlands, Crestwood, the Fallow Mire, and the Forbidden Oasis (except the Temple of Pride) completely completed, and it was time to finally deal with the grey wardens. Hawke has been pretty patient with me, but I suppose enough is enough. Lucky for him I decided not to go to the Exalted Plains first, heh. Harold and crew have just arrived in the fade after the assault on Adamant. I'm kinda bummed about it all because I could have sworn I set up my world state so that Loghain would be there instead of Stroud, but after going back and checking it out I apparently did not do so. Crap. Oh well, next game.

And that's where we are, trying to find a way back into the world.

I played cards with the squad. I kept noticing a suspiciously empty chair that probably would've had Blackwall in it. Just a hunch.

Oh BOY

So today I met this LOVELY FELLOW who was going through a rough patch in the western approach. A student of Draconology he had his whole operation robbed, sabotaged and all around sunk. The poor man must have shat a brick when he saw my whole group come up to him deckec with god knows how many pounds of dragon bone armor wrapped in dragon scaled stuffed with dragon webbing (I think he was looking at Sera's butt tightly encased in dragon scales....poor guy I did not have the heart to crush his dreams)....I had to help him. So I went off to find him some supplies....some tomes, some lures, hell even had one of the boys at skyhold translate some Tevin stuff for him until finally Bull, Sera, Dorian and I lured the Abyssal high dragon. Sera laughed with that lovely mischievous laughter and said "ohhhh we getting a closer look?" ....Bull turned and said..."Boss....I just wanted to say....you are the best!" .

Bull, seriously....are you CRYING of joy? What would Vivienne say? You know your Mistress always expects you to be socially presentable!

Dorian said nothing....I am sure he was less than happy we actually LURED a dragon to fight it

It's ok tho, it went down in like....3 minutes maybe less.

That good man was so happy he begged to join the inquisition. Had to say yes. I will need a curator for the dragonbane museum I intend to erect after I kick corypheus' ass

Sera stop giggling and saying "because....erect!!!"

Hmmm. I brought Iron Bull to take down my first High Dragon - the Frostback. Then we talked and he explained what that Qunari statement he said meant. I'm pretty sure someone is going to write some smut centering around that.

There's a BDSM story in that premise somewhere.

But seriously, I brought him along while placing lures for the Abyssal and he said, after I placed the first: "How many of those do you think we need to lure out two high dragons?"

He's got a death wish.

Lol read my thoughts about it on the "lack of romance options" thread

He is definitely sub to Viv

Also....the first went down in 2.5 minutes....with only 2 focus abilities

How long do you think the second would have lasted?

CHEATER! I don't use focus often and I have it on a higher difficulty, although my characters are comically overpowered. I'm already lvl 20+ and I haven't even done the Arbor Wilds operation yet.

So yeah, I will likely be pwning this one too. Especially with my elemental resistance flasks.

I sent Cullen to the Arbor Wilds to establish a base camp. We followed and made our assault following the trails in the forest leading to the Temple of Mythal, and discovered that it held the Well of Sorrows. We explored the temple. completing the temple rituals, and met the guardian of the temple, Abelas. Abelas made us an offer: he would help us defeat the red templars if we would leave and forget about the Well of Sorrows. I knew Corypheus wouldn't, and if Corypheus got to the well before we did he could unmake the world. No. I could not allow it. I refused the offer. We needed the well. Abelas vanished and departed to destroy the well, and Morrigan transformed into a raven to go after him. We killed the remaining ancient elves.

Then we met Samson's forces, and fought Samson directly. I used Dagna's rune to destroy Samson's armor and after a short battle we defeated him, and took him prisoner. Then Corypheus appeared, but he was burned and killed when we fled. However, he began to rematerialize, but we closed the door on the area of the temple containing the well before he could breach it. I know not what Corypheus is, but he is nearly a god.

Abelas tried to destroy the well, and Morrigan killed him. Good thinking, Morrigan. After consulting with the troops, it was decided that Morrigan drink from the well. I know nothing of magic, and she studied it extensively. She was best able to use its power. I just had this mark. This anchor.

We returned to Skyhold, and I judged Samson. Surprisingly, Cullen did not want him executed. I was more than ready to add his head to the collection. He wanted him to rot in a cell. Yet, if I couldn't kill him at least let Dagna perform some experiments on him. Let's find out why he isn't affected by red lyrium. And then there's Dagna. She is just weird. Not in your normal sense of weird but just weird. I don't know what to make of her.

I accompanied Leiliana to the Chantry where she was left a message from Divine Justinia. One of the sisters was there, but it was Friday, and early and they don't have a chant on Friday mornings at that Chantry. Leiliana knew what must be done and why she was the Left hand of the Divine. Now she was my left hand - doing what must be done. This was not a side of Leiliana I like.

We then went back to Emprise De Lion and killed the last two dragons because they were terrorizing villagers living in the hills. While I did not want to do this, it was necessary.

I was then informed that Morrigan's son Kiernan had run through the Eluvian and that Morrigan had followed him. I entered it, and I found myself in the fade again. I caught up with her. She was frantic. We found her son.... with Flemeth. Flemeth was Mythal! If I had taken the drink from the well I would have been bound to Mythal for eternity. But Flemeth wanted the soul Kiernan was carrying... the soul of the old god from the arch demon the Hero of Fereldan had killed. Morrigan had no choice. Her son was carrying two souls. His own plus that of the old god. Flemeth released Morrigan. I wonder if Morrigan had not had the child what would have transpired?

Thanks for this thread - I've loved reading through it, lots of good and funny stuff :) .  I have about four different Inquisitors on the go at the moment and I alternate between them so every day is a bit different but today...

Gilda Cadash got a bit friendlier with Blackwall by rooting out the second Grey Warden artifact in the Fallow Mire - but please stop charging into the water all the time Blackwall, you keeping luring out all those rotting ghouls!! Possibly as pay off for this new respect, Blackwall then shared a miserable tale from his youth about a dog and then vanished next morning! Similarly newly chatty was Dorian who also shared a tale from his youth about Felix the magister's son. Gilda was then promptly detained by Mother Giselle back in the main hall who wants me to trick Dorian into a secret meeting organised by his estranged parents - Gilda gave the interfering cow short shrift but may well mention it to Dorian to see what he thinks.

I thought I might have missed Cassandra's 'filthy book scenes' in this PT but no, Gilda caught her leafing through 'Swords and Shields' on the sly. Cass started off denying all knowledge but Cole dropped her in it whilst wandering past - apparently she has loaned it to him but he didn't really understand it, just as well I expect! Anyway, Gilda convinced Varric to write the next chapter and Cass was delighted in the end. Gilda is happy that the two of them might have made it up at last.

Then it was off to try and get Sera into bed! Gilda possibly slipped up there earlier by suggesting they get to know each other better first when Sera suggested a roll in the hay. So now Sera is all giddy, calling her 'Shiny' and going on about gifts. Gilda feels the need to reciprocate but none of her friends were much help. Solas was especially sniffy when asked for ideas but she was at least amused when Vivienne said something along the lines of 'Oh I don't care darling - just shave something into you privates!'. So for the moment, Gilda is stumped on what to do next!

She should of course be heading off to the Arbor Wilds or rushing off to Val Royeaux to find Blackwall and save Josephine from possible assassins but instead she dragged Dorian, Iron Bull and Cole off to the Western Approach to clear out some demons and Venatori from the Still Ruins - Dorian was pleased!

Totally agree with the bolded part. I hate not knowing where I'm at or how to get where I want to be. Also hate that multiple levels show at the same time (hello Emerald Graves temple of undead). This was not a good thing to borrow from Skyrim.

Christine Trevelyan

I helped Blackwall. He came up to my room. I turned him down. One down. How many more can I lore to my quarters only to turn them down? Hahaha. I'm so cruel. Or I'm I just being a tease? No matter. I'm having fun. Excellent

I meet Hawke and her friend Stroud in Crestwood. I will go back later to save the town. Stroud mentions the Wardens are in the Western Approach. So I book a flight on Thedas airlines to travel there.

Attack. As Meredith says, break it down. Yes ma'am. We attack Adamant Fortress. Fight through demons and Grey Wardens. Here comes the Archdemon. No. Not the real one in DAO, but the wannabe one being controlled by Corypheus. The Warden Commander deals with it, but causes the walkway to collapse sending me and the others into the fade.

Right away Cole, Sera and Bull don't like being here. I don't know. Add some wallpaper, carpet and a big screen tv, it wouldn't be a bad place to stay. I get to meet the divine. I knew I should've brought my pen and paper to get her autograph. Maybe next time. I get back my memories and fight the nightmare demon.

Stroud had to stay. He said something about picking up something from the store for a friend of his. He will catch up later. Ok. The Grey Wardens will help the Inquisition. Hawke leaves. Thanks for the help

Captured Griffon Wing Keep; now we have a forward base from which to plan the assault on Adamant. Ran off some darkspawn and more Venatori. Whoopsie on their part not knowing how to avoid darkspawn tunnels while mining. Also fought a few herds of varghests, phoenixes, hyenas, and spiders, sometimes all at once. Brought Iron Bull to go dragon hunting....he had fun, and only needed 1 health potion during our fight with the Abyssal High Dragon. Frederic now works for the Inquisition....maybe he can give us some helpful tips on how to not get electrocuted while battling Vinsomer. <_< Still a few things to clean up here before we begin the attack. Not sure who I want to bring along just yet.
