I sent Cullen to the Arbor Wilds to establish a base camp. We followed and made our assault following the trails in the forest leading to the Temple of Mythal, and discovered that it held the Well of Sorrows. We explored the temple. completing the temple rituals, and met the guardian of the temple, Abelas. Abelas made us an offer: he would help us defeat the red templars if we would leave and forget about the Well of Sorrows. I knew Corypheus wouldn't, and if Corypheus got to the well before we did he could unmake the world. No. I could not allow it. I refused the offer. We needed the well. Abelas vanished and departed to destroy the well, and Morrigan transformed into a raven to go after him. We killed the remaining ancient elves.
Then we met Samson's forces, and fought Samson directly. I used Dagna's rune to destroy Samson's armor and after a short battle we defeated him, and took him prisoner. Then Corypheus appeared, but he was burned and killed when we fled. However, he began to rematerialize, but we closed the door on the area of the temple containing the well before he could breach it. I know not what Corypheus is, but he is nearly a god.
Abelas tried to destroy the well, and Morrigan killed him. Good thinking, Morrigan. After consulting with the troops, it was decided that Morrigan drink from the well. I know nothing of magic, and she studied it extensively. She was best able to use its power. I just had this mark. This anchor.
We returned to Skyhold, and I judged Samson. Surprisingly, Cullen did not want him executed. I was more than ready to add his head to the collection. He wanted him to rot in a cell. Yet, if I couldn't kill him at least let Dagna perform some experiments on him. Let's find out why he isn't affected by red lyrium. And then there's Dagna. She is just weird. Not in your normal sense of weird but just weird. I don't know what to make of her.
I accompanied Leiliana to the Chantry where she was left a message from Divine Justinia. One of the sisters was there, but it was Friday, and early and they don't have a chant on Friday mornings at that Chantry. Leiliana knew what must be done and why she was the Left hand of the Divine. Now she was my left hand - doing what must be done. This was not a side of Leiliana I like.
We then went back to Emprise De Lion and killed the last two dragons because they were terrorizing villagers living in the hills. While I did not want to do this, it was necessary.
I was then informed that Morrigan's son Kiernan had run through the Eluvian and that Morrigan had followed him. I entered it, and I found myself in the fade again. I caught up with her. She was frantic. We found her son.... with Flemeth. Flemeth was Mythal! If I had taken the drink from the well I would have been bound to Mythal for eternity. But Flemeth wanted the soul Kiernan was carrying... the soul of the old god from the arch demon the Hero of Fereldan had killed. Morrigan had no choice. Her son was carrying two souls. His own plus that of the old god. Flemeth released Morrigan. I wonder if Morrigan had not had the child what would have transpired?
