They just shot themselves in the foot where I'm concerned. I don't attend cons unless I want to splash $$ I'd rather spend elsewhere. Looks like any news about Bioware / games will be third hand. I'll miss you guys though. If we still want to hang around one another, best decide on a location.

Sadly, I'm not really surprised. I kind of had a feeling this place was ending when they closed down the off-topic a while back. I started copying all of my "what I did today" posts into "[charname]'s tale" folders on my hard drive. Guess I better get back to it.

I think I better do the same with mine too. Those were just droplets of inspiration.
I've already started looking for a home for GUIDE and reference material, like builds. This thread and our little group can find a home elsewhere, in a subreddit, or a new forum. If you all want to keep this going.
Shame that the forums are closing, but I'm in for finding a new home to keep this engaging thread and its many adventures alive. If everyone in the group wants to stay connected.

I'm a member of a couple of forums on proboards and they seem to work ok. Just not nearly as busy as this place.
They're batting ideas about but I've lodged a foothold at DAfans and transferred some of the stuff I've been writing over there because most of the sections are already established. I doubt I'll dig too far back for what I wrote.
Silly me, in a lot of cases, the only copies of some of my screenies are in this thread. I use a no-account/zero-signin upload service for photos, so I can't go back and fetch them from an account. If you don't keep track of the link, it's the same as losing the photo. And I deleted the originals to free up space on my drive.
I back up my pics on an external drive. It's a work habit of mine.

I finally managed to get to Skyhold and meet Hawke which was always going to be a very testy affair since I designed Baldur Hawke to be... well...
So, after much wrestling with the face creator, I got a face I was kinda happy with.

I looked at the DA Subreddit, started reading their thread about BSN closing. And can you believe this?
RANDOM POSTER....If anything right now I'm scared of all the forums users coming here and ruining this place too to be honest. I hope this won't be the case since I absolutely love the DA and ME communities on reddit. I'm mostly a lurker but I come here everyday and I would hate to see this subreddit end up the same way

We will do everything within our power (which is not insubstantial) to make sure this sub remains the friendly, awesome place we all know and love.

I don't know... Are those places BioWare's official forum? Because you have to admit, none of fan-created sites/forums are going to be as busy as this one. People will scatter between places or just give up.

Ah, yes. Because reddit is such a wonderful place *rolls eyes hard* Great "toxicity" of this forum seems to be some kind of outside knowledge, since I never found this place more toxic than others.

I dropped by Reddit once before out of curiosity, I don't find their style fluid or user friendly. They can rest easy, this BSNer not going there.
