Crafted my first Masterwork armor for my Adaar. With over seventy percent resistance to fire, I think taking on the last dragon will be a walk in the park.
What Did You Do Today (in the DA 'verse) ? .... oops ;)

Yep I made a suit of fire-resistant armor for my first inquisitor as soon as i could. She stood toe-to-toe with one of the dragons in Emprise de Lion and let it breathe all the fire it wanted. Barely singed her.

Just completed "Here Lies The Abyss" Wow, Bull did not want to be there at all! Poor guy. He fought well, though. Saved me twice from an up-close terror demon with his Grappling Chain ability, which was kinda cool, heh. Vivienne was cool with it up until the demon talked about her regaining her power "at her age". ...Hmm, there's a story there, I think, but after listening to her chop little pieces off Blackwall every time he opened his mouth all through the Western Approach, I don't think I'll press her on it. ![]()
Speaking of Blackwall. Didn't take him on the mission, but he was there when it was over. Harold exiled the Wardens from Orlais this time. When he made his judgement, Blackwall piped up with, "Your Worship, I would stay and continue the fight." and Harold answered, "Of course. I never doubted your loyalty, Blackwall." (metagaming response:
)
Left Hawke in the Fade. I had specifically set up a world state with a Hawke who I wouldn't feel too bad about leaving behind, one that I had no connection with. But damn, talking to Varric afterwards...
I just had to give the poor guy a hug. That conversation actually makes me like Varric again, more than I had up to this point anyway. Now he doesn't feel so out of place anymore. Now that I've played it both ways I think it's a better choice, from a role-playing perspective, to leave Hawke behind. I dunno, though. Stroud means nothing to me, not when compared to Hawke or Alistair, or even Loghain, and leaving him behind doesn't seem like much of a loss.
Gotta make sure I get that Loghain-enabled world state working for next game.
Next main-story mission is Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, but I haven't even unlocked the Emerald Graves, Emprise de Lion, the Hissing Wastes, or the Exalted Plains yet. i think we'll go there next and wrap up a few Inner Circle fetch quests.

Recruited the templars, wandered around the Oasis a bit, and closed the Breach. Then I tried to save everybody in Haven, but the guy in the burning building died. I think I missed Minaeve, too. ![]()
Now I need to reach Skyhold so I can start flirting with Sera and Scout Harding more.

Missed Minaeve in both my PTs so far. In fact the only one I have managed to save both times is Threnn.

I love Minaeve so much. It breaks my heart that she has to go away regardless of whether she lives or not. She's so adorable. I kind of hate the Tranquil lady who replaces her just because my Minaeve is gone.

Welps, I was in the Emerald Graves attempting to cross a chasm by running across the equivalent of a very thing balance beam - and being a mage, my Inquisitor may not be the most graceful individual ever. I almost fell off and probably would have kicked the ravens standing in my way if I could've done it without falling off. Finally got to the other side after two close calls and got a T3 grip schematic (huzzah).
However, on the way back...Blackwall, Cassandra, and Bull were completely blocking my path (you know, because...it was a narrow, narrow beam). In fact, my sweetie (aka Blackwall) almost pushed my mage off the beam. Fortunately, my KE-ness came into play and I used Fade Cloak and ran through everyone - yay - without plummeting into the abyss.
Yep, really glad right now that there aren't too many situations like that around - lol.

That's happened to me so many times, and always in a spot where I had to walk a longgggg way to get back to where I was. Then I realized I could just switch characters.

@spork: Hah! While I would have considered switching characters if I'd had no other choice, I had a feeling that if I tried it, I'd probably lose my balance and/or get pushed off by someone (given my horrible luck with this sort of thing), lol.
Absolutely, I'm right there with you on that one. I never really found switching characters to be a smooth transition all the time.. but when it works, it's like, Thank The Maker. ![]()

Varric doesn't take Stroud dying too well either. Kuruk Adaar let him die like a true Warden, since he was the only sensible one left. I banished them this time. They were too inept to be of usage, especially given how gullible they were and still capable of being influenced by Corypheus.
I typically do Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts before Here Lies the Abyss, given how much more climactic the latter is in comparison. But I felt like I was playing the DA version of an episode from The Wire. Had a lot of fun there, although the bard constantly singing in French annoyed me.

Had a game of "should I jump off this waterfall/cliff or not?" while finding my way back to the Solasan temple. There were a lot of drowning, map-marking, fade-stepping, obvious suicidal jumps that don't kill me for some reason, cursing, and crazy cliff-jumping that probably made them wonder why this crazy jumping elven woman is the Inquisitor.
Yes, I still can't find it until now. What the hell. How many waterfalls do I have to jump off of before that door shows itself, I don't know.
I loaded a way older save and on the Storm Coast, I played a lot of "hey let's see if we could jump-run our way to the top" to go to places, but the problem was that I couldn't find a proper cliff to scale since all of them are extremely steep, so I pretty much just ran around in circles to pretend I'm actually doing something before I did more cliff-scaling and crazy jumping to reach that god-damn Warden artifact.

It went okay, I guess.

yeah, I left Stroud in the Fade in my first game. Varric was still unhappy, but he didn't cry. I didn't have to hug him. I just couldn't leave Hawke in that first game. She was my Hawke, ya know? I figured a world without sarcastic femHawke in it wasn't worth saving

Also using Barrier first before jumping down, yes. I've learned this way too late, for I've already jumped my way down an unbelievable amount of ravines and cliffs, and now I keep on forgetting. ;;
I'm not really a mount person so I don't even bother with it for most of the game, but I'll remember that next time I actually go cliff-jumping. Hooray, no more potions wasted on stupid suicidal decisions!

I knew we would be facing Corypheus next. It was going to be bad. He favored fire in our last meeting so I had to make sure we were prepared, so I made sure everyone was equipped. That meant building new armor that was heavy in fire resistance for myself, Cassandra, Solas, and Vivienne. New runes for our weapons as well. Cullen had brought back some baby dragons for us to study.
Morrigan engaged the red-lyrium infused dragon that accompanied Corypheus and severely injured it before she fell. The wounded dragon landed in front of us to finish us off, but we were prepared. It's fire blasts were ineffective against us, and we put down the beast. Corypheus had nowhere to hide, and he also went down quickly. The would be god met the might of The Maker.
It was over. We returned to Skyhold, and there was a celebration. Cassandra was dreading her new assignment as Divine Victoria. She instituted many reforms. The Templars were rebuilt, but were under new guidance. The Circle of Magi was reformed with many freedoms given to the mages such as not being confined to the circle but being able to be with families and live normal lives, The Seekers were recreated to protect the freedoms of the people. I agreed with her reforms because I saw how dangerous magic can be in the wrong hands, but the mages disagreed, and formed the College of Magi.
Then Solas, the dread wolf, met Mythal and apologized, as did Mythal, and something happened. Did Mythal take over Solas?

It's a tough one. That scene with Varric afterwards was very well done, and it's not as though Hawke didn't go willingly. I dunno, I had to try it once. I believe I've got a new world state set up properly for my next game, and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a lot easier to leave Loghain behind... just a hunch ![]()

First PT complete. Congrats! I will say that playing again and making different choices is pretty cool in this game... at least I'm finding it to be that way so far. Dunno about the end. It's one of those things I'm still figuring out, but I'm looking forward to my eventual elfy-elf Solas romance PT.

If you farmed four fire resistance rings in The Forbidden Oasis and equipped your team with additional fire resistance Corypheus hasn't got the slightest chance at all.
Funny ending, right?
How did it feel when you closed the story?

I guess BioWare doesn't think we relate as closely to our Hawke as to our Warden - Leiliana isn't romanceable because they don't want to put us in the position of cheating on ourselves, but they think we'll be okay with sacrificing ourselves lol I was cool with it, because I messed up and didn't customize my Hawke, and never played with the default, but still..
