What I did today? I replayed selected parts of my three playthroughs in order to find more Codex entries. Now there are only 8 Codex entries left whose location I do not know. Spent almost an hour looking for that elusive Magic 17 The Tranquil (buying doesn't count) without success. Grrr...
What Did You Do Today (in the DA 'verse) ? .... oops ;)

Kuruk Adaar killed his seventh High Dragon, the ferocious Vinsomer, with his pals Varric and Solas, and his companion Iron Bull. He is now investigating the Dwarven ruins in the Hissing Wastes... and listening to Solas butcher Iron Bull in conversations about the Qun.

It's a tough one. That scene with Varric afterwards was very well done, and it's not as though Hawke didn't go willingly. I dunno, I had to try it once. I believe I've got a new world state set up properly for my next game, and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a lot easier to leave Loghain behind... just a hunch
The one and only time I left Hawke in the fade was as a male. I won't leave femHawke. With Varric's reaction, I ended up with 2 greatly disapproves when I left Hawke in the fade and was expecting him to leave. If I decide to leave Hawke in the fade again, not, I might make an attempt to give Varric a hug.
First PT complete. Congrats! I will say that playing again and making different choices is pretty cool in this game... at least I'm finding it to be that way so far. Dunno about the end. It's one of those things I'm still figuring out, but I'm looking forward to my eventual elfy-elf Solas romance PT.
Yes the game is different depending on what choices are made in one playthrough vs another. Even bringing different companions on the same quests has slightly different dialogue based on what your Inquisitor does. My current playthrough I've been using Cole, Sera and Iron Bull. Some of the dialogue is funny. Sera doesn't like Cole

I didn't take Cole on a single mission in my first game, other than his personal quest, and I didn't recruit him this time around. I'm looking forward to my next game (as a warrior), cuz I plan on using him lots. He'll be my go-to rogue. Gonna recruit Sera too, cuz I miss her, heh, but I probably won't use her much. Nope it's my two (mostly) forgotten rogues next game, Varric and Cole. Be fun to see if I can keep them both happy.Yes the game is different depending on what choices are made in one playthrough vs another. I spent my time mostly level grinding today and I am finally at level 9. This involved doing side-quests in the Hinterlands and I am getting a lot more "Sera slightly approves" messages than I am used to getting (this is probably the most approval I've had from her out of all my playthroughs so far). I also completed a quest which involved killing some wolves and Solas approved (It must be some sort of instinct
).
Then I finally went to the south-west to get some bear claws. I managed to set up camp and I ventured forth. The first bear was a struggle as I used all the health potions in one go. I still managed to kill the bear. Then another bear popped up so I had to run to the party camp to restock on potions. The bear was in pursuit. Now this bear fight is taking place in the party camp so I can keep restocking on potions when the party's health was low (the inquisitor troops did nothing but stand there
). Suddenly another bear come over the hill so I was in a double bear fight. This felt like a lifetime as I needed to keep resting every 10 secs minute to restore my health. Finally to top it off a lesser bear joined in as well. I admit I am not that proficient at the nightmare difficulty so it took a long time to defeat everything but it's done (you could say it was unbearable).
For some reason, I used my ability points on abilities that I won't use or won't help me in a boss fight later (such as Evade and Sleeping Powder). I suppose I like to give myself a challenge
. I have just started the Templar quest and I hope it goes better this time.

If you farmed four fire resistance rings in The Forbidden Oasis and equipped your team with additional fire resistance Corypheus hasn't got the slightest chance at all.
Funny ending, right?
How did it feel when you closed the story?
(I haven't finished a single time because the games is empty afterwards).
It's a peculiar ending. It's definitely a cliffhanger. There really was nothing more I wanted to do afterward. I'd done about everything. It was like Skyrim where I saved finishing the main quest until I'd done everything I wanted to do. My Inquisitor ends up with Cullen. It couldn't be better than that.
I built Cassandra a Dragonshield and a suit of armor made out of dragonbone and dragonscales and wyvern scales. Legs were dragonscale. She stood and took the full blast from the dragon with no ill effects. And taunted the dragon. "Is that all you got?"
I'm glad that they treated Morrigan right and that what she had in mind was not evil.
The ending more than makes up for the Mass Effect 3 ending. Bravo! It was needed.

Last week's adventures.
Blackwall, Cole and Solas banter is glorious. Taking the latter two to the Fade is fantastic.
Recruited every possible agent except Barris (couldn't get him, because I went for the mages)
Vivienne and Wahy don't get along
Makes sense though, as I've told everyone and everything the chantry and templars suck.
Dual Rift Mage is ridiculous. Every fight is a walkover, even more so than Knight Enchanter. At least Knight Enchanter takes some time. Only problem is Dragon fights, but for that I swap out Solas in favour of Sera. Those Dragon fights are less ridiculous than when I played a Tempest myself, every Dragon fell in 2 lightning flask - fire flask - thousand cuts cycle. Sera takes 3, but I don't have amazing equipment on her.
Struggling with the Short List perk and the shops in Hissing Wastes/Suledin Keep. I thought I'd get all the superior schematics all the time... but no. It's RNG and the RNG Gods are not favouring me.
don't need much though, only the superior heavy and medium armor, I'll get crafted Keeper Robes for Wahy and her lover Solas (for which I need to kill the final dragon in Emprise du Lion)

Kuruk Adaar faced the fearsome Sandy Howler of the Hissing Waste with his team, and upon defeating it, felt a strange anamoly in the Fade. He decided to use the time magic of Dorian to go into the past and slay the beast again. When it finally fell for the second time, all was right.

Finished clearing out the Western Approach and, upon traveling back to Skyhold, the game crashed.
Restart, attempt to reload a different save....crash. Repeat 2 more times. Crash and crash. Reboot, restart Origin which decides to re-download like 6 different games
then restart game again. Yay, game running. Get back to Skyhold, promote Ser Barris, attempt to judge Servis aaaannnd.....I have no sound. Argggghhh!! Reboot again.
When I finally got the game working properly, I re-promoted Ser Barris, turned Servis into a smuggler for the Inquisition, sold off a bunch of gear, set up a few war table missions and then, after maniacally saving my game like every 5 seconds, launched the Adamant mission. Love the "Siege of Adamant" track. though it's really hard to hear in-game. Plus, Cullen gets to prove that he can do more than just look pretty. ![]()
I brought Varric (story), Cassandra (meta-game), and Dorian (bff) this time around. We were way over-leveled for the mission (17-18) so it was much easier than my previous game. We rushed through the fortress saving who we could, did the talk thing with Erimond, then ran after Clarel when she drew the dragon away. Then, we fell into the Fade. We rushed through here also but I made sure to do the "find the fears" quest for the stat boost. I didn't see the "Ironically, spiders" spider this time but stuff was dying pretty fast.
We fought the big nightmare thing and Loghain stayed behind to cover our escape. Julia recruited the Wardens to make up for their, err, poor judgment, and then everyone headed back to Skyhold (and the game didn't crash).
Why was I rushing through you wonder? Because I knew when we got back that Julia and Cullen would um....polish his desk.
It really needed it too.....

I think the Exalted Plains may be my least favorite area map. Not because there are a bazillion undead to fight, and rifts to close, and snooty elves to avoid upsetting, and an amazingly large abundance of orlesian accents everywhere I turn, and wolves upon wolves upon wolves, and demons, and vague quest markers, and...well, you get the idea.
No.
It's because every objective is at the tail end of a maze. ![]()
I actually love the look of the place, and the atmosphere, and all of that. But Maker do I hate navigating all those rampart fortresses. Countless times I wanted to turn to Dorian and say, " just burn the whole cursed place down, will you? Then maybe we can get where we have to go!"
Ah well, I've accomplished a lot on the Plains today. Much running around and undead re-deadening, and rift closing and shard gathering. Had to go back to Skyhold and give Cullen's troops something other than making money to do -- namely building a bridge and then clearing a blocked tunnel. Side note: my last camp to unlock is on the other side of the blocked tunnel.
Harold will be happy to see the last of the Exalted Plains, I tellya. He might desecrate a tomb just because ![]()

I really hated the Hissing Wastes on my first two playthroughs, but now I find its size and emptiness is a perfect opportunity to ride around on my magnificent nuggalope.
Exhalted Plains is definitely at the bottom of my list, due to its bleakness. And possibly the Fallow Mire because...eww. The Avvar kind of make up for that though. They're weird. I like 'em.

I finished my 6th playthrough with Christine Trevelyan. When I went to choose my companions to fight Corypheus, I couldn't select Cole. I wonder why? He is shown in the scene after killing Corypheus with the others.
Right after the credits, I talked with Varric who invited me for a game of wicked grace.
I had Iron Bull, Blackwall and Sera wanting to get in my pants, but turned them all down. Yes Christine was a tease. Cassandra didn't like my flirting. What a party pooper.
I left Blackwall in jail. If I was to add something in the game it would be to choose to leave him in the fade, make him a jester for the Inquistion or execute him.
I found out that if you use fade cloak, if playing as a knight enchanter, during the screeching of the dragon, it will not stun you letting you continue to damage the dragon. I'm sure folks already knew this. I'm not sure why I didn't post this however long ago
I will be starting another playthrough later today.

Tonight we went on safari in The Hissing Wastes
The photographer took some snapshots the oldfashion way.
Vivienne was very exited about it all. She looked forward to tell everyone in Val Royeaux about it.
Cassandra felt sorry for the poor creature. She was very silent for a while.
Varric just wanted to get back home and grab a pint in the tavern.

Slew the 3 dragons in Emprise du Lion. The first fell in 3 cycles of fire flask - lightning flask - thousand cuts... the final one fell in 2.
And that's when I figured out the biggest difference between my own Tempest and Sera: I didn't pick the passive ability Pincushion for Sera. After I did pick it, the damage value for Thousand Cuts went through the roof. (especially cause I got two enhancement rings for the skill). Even though in comparison to my own Tempest of my preview run she's vastly under geared. (Another factor might be that I also consistently use To the Death from Blackwall now, and I didn't use him before. But I did this for all dragons before, Pincushion was only used on the last and the effect was massive.)
Now it's time to craft some Keeper Robes for me and Solas
. And finish up the war table missions for the Qunari so I can get my staff.
One more Dragon left (Hissing Wastes), some companion quests and then I can wrap this run up (Arbor Wilds and final fight)
And just as I thought: 'I could really use some Fade Touched Silverite' I picked up one of the nodes near the final dragon and got it. Sweet. But it's not the one I want though hah. (10% chance to inflict chain lightning at 100% weapon power. I wanted the +5 guard on hit. Oh well)
