Even with fade step it doesn't help. And if you happen to avoid the rock, the giant follows up with its flying stomp move.

If so, try to get real close to the giant - ALL the way - and then use Leaping Shot. You'll end up almost ten meters from him.

I ran around Crestwood with my mage, intending to change the weather. Job done, I thought that I really need a character change. Saved at Caer Bronach, standing next to Charter.
Thought about my dwarven warrior, which I haven't played in quite a while. Switched, quickly loaded the quicksave and... stood in Caer Bronach, standing next to Charter.
Sun is still shining though.

Played as a knight enchanter. The one playthrough I did play as an archer, I made sure I was far enough away from the giant when attacking.
I've been on a roll making fan videos for Dragon Age: Inquisition. Did I mention how much I love this game?? I haven't actually played the game in the past few days, though, heh. I'm wondering what kind of Inquisitor I should roll next.

I'm a horrible human being, but I just can't play a Dwarf. I can not get over how short they are. I had this really cool looking dude but as soon as I saw the whole character it was over.
Maybe I'll do a human warrior instead. Probably. The extra skill is nice too, certainly in the beginning.
I don't think I've ever gone dwarf-mode. It's not because I don't like dwarves - it's because as a shortish female (5'2"-ish) I'm already close to dwarf stature IRL. I just prefer to be taller than I actually am in most games, lol.
Started "In Your Heart Shall Burn" at lv 10.
This is the first time that it ended in a massacre as the majority of my allies died 
(my inner completionist side is not happy). The enemies themselves weren't difficult to defeat but they were annoying and focused mainly on the NPC's.
Lisette put up a brave fight but her Templar training didn't pay off as she got singed by a Venatori mage. I managed to save Seggrit. I then went to the tavern and the Venatori were blocking the entrance so Flissa ended up dying. I was still fighting the Venatori in the east and I was close enough to hear the cries for help from Minaeve and Adan. I managed to save Adan but not Minaeve. Finally my quartermaster died through being overwhelmed by a Venatori horde. After all that I managed to only save 2 allies. Vivienne gave me 'slight approval' which I suspect is out of pity 
.
The next stage was the fight with Fiona (on nightmare). I was doing ok against her lesser minions but I was struggling with her. I used all the health potions apart from the last two. So I tried to evade her by focusing my efforts on the trebuchet. I managed to trigger the cutscene without having to kill her (probably seen as a cowardly way out but ... er I can't justify it 
). So there is no sign of Fiona during the cutscene so I don't know where she went but I assume the impending avalanche killed her.
So now my inquisitor will spend the night freezing in a underground passage. I guess I will continue playing tomorrow when the dawn comes 
I spent my entire session last night running around Skyhold. I re-played the fight with Nightmare since I thought I'd seen him drop some loot that I didn't get a chance to grab, but on the replay he didn't drop anything so I think it was just leftover spider goo. So after getting back to Skyhold my game crashed as I entered the war room. Got back in, set up some missions, ran around talking to people, unloaded a bunch of gear, then got my war table results and realized I had screwed up the first post-Adamant Warden mission. So I reloaded back to before I set it up, picked Cullen instead of Leliana, and then did the routine again. I think between the multiple crashes and "reloads for other reasons," I ended up meeting the real Bianca 4 times, hitting Bull with a stick 2 times, judging Erimond and Ser Ruth 3 times, unloading my gear at least twice, and helping Cullen polish his desk several times over. 
I did have an interesting discussion with Vivienne however. When she brought up the fact the Inquisition would likely have a say in who would be the next Divine, I was sure she was going to self-promote. Instead, much to my surprise, she suggested Cassandra would be the best candidate. 
I completely agreed with her (and already had done the Support Cassandra mission) but later I couldn't help but wonder if she was just toying with me and has some other scheme going on that I won't figure out until too late.

I'll be playing as a dwarf fighter in my next game. Already have her created, too, but I'm still a long way from starting it.

Seeing the name Cersei Lannister every time I open inventory and Character screen is not lending itself to a "good" play through. She's a mage so you know who she's siding with, and I did my best to make her look like the actress. There is a resemblance. Damn this is going to be a bad play through.

Incidentally, Blackwall will be my dwarf inquisitor's LI. I'm trying to improve my opinion of him, heh.
I'm still in my mage/Cullen play-through, and I have a femQunari created who's going to romance Iron Bull. But I'm kind of leaning toward Blackwall next time, just for the angst. I figure if I alternate sweet&gushy with angsty&depressing, the former won't be so nauseating and the latter won't be so hard to get over. Not sure what pc feels best for Blackwall though. Maybe I'll figure it out by the time I'm done with this game (though if it keeps crashing on me that is going to be a while 
). I do want to play an archer though.....whenever I spec Sera a new point, Tempest looks mighty fun!

Darth Leliana showed up last game, and it was a real, 'holy crap!' moment. I tried to do things differently this time, at least to see which Leliana I prefer. I'm really hoping I got it right. I already messed up my world state and missed out on Loghain, so who knows what will happen, heh.

Tempest archer is amazing. I highly recommend it, though it takes some getting used to. For example, where a mage doesn't have to worry about hitting her target once she picks which one to fire at, an archer does. Apparently arrows travel in straight lines. Who knew? 
As for the romances, I don't really have any order in which one is next. I wanted to try out the Sera romance first -- especially once I met her -- and am doing the Cass romance now because she's just an amazing character. My plan has always been to alternate male and female for each playthrough, and so romance options are limited. In my next game, it'd be a choice between Bull, Blackwall, and Josie. I want to save Josie for a bit, and Blackwall has some reputation repairing to do after his big reveal, which still bugs me

I've been seeing a lot of positive stuff being written about the Cullen romance, so eventually I'll get around to him, heh. Making a female dwarf inquisitor for my next game makes the decision of who to romance a little easier, just by elimination.
