I've been seeing a lot of positive stuff being written about the Cullen romance, so eventually I'll get around to him, heh. Making a female dwarf inquisitor for my next game makes the decision of who to romance a little easier, just by elimination. 

Can't really say if it's the best romance. They're all so wonderfully different (at least the ones I played, I tried not to totally spoiler me) and - ashaming truth be told - I'm quite blind on the Cullen-eye.

 

Yes, dwarven female limits options and was / is a lot of fun with Bull. The toughest love, by all means

The Cullen romance gave me all the feels.  I recommend giving it a try.  Personally, I like both his and Solas's romances equally.  I haven't gotten around to trying the others, though.

I will try it out eventually. My grand scheme is to do a PT for all the different romances. They're all such good characters But I gotta say, having just completed Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, and the way Morrigan half-smiled at Harold afterwards, when they talked about her joining the inquisition... for a moment I thought that if she were a romance option, I would drop everyone else and pursue her. That voice *sigh*

 

Of course, that was until Cassandra danced with Harold, and said, with a cute smile of her own, "This isn't exactly... terrible."  

 

Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts was both fun and frustrating. No matter how much I love the rest of the quest, I will never like that sequence that begins with going into the servant's quarters and ends with a dance with Florianne. The dance part is fine, but navigating that garden/courtyard/maze of rooms, trying to find the assassin in the clown mask is cruel. I do not like it. I also don't like needing halla statues to open doors, but it is what it is.

 

I didn't have enough statues to get into the royal vault and find the locket that would reconcile Celene and Briala -- which was my original intention, so... the Inquisition plotted a new course. Plans change. We must adapt. Now Gaspard is the new Emperor of Orlais, and apparently Blackwall -- who was nowhere near the Winter Palace -- absolutely hates the idea.

 

Wow, that was quite a different ending than my first game. I'm gonna miss having Florianne as Skyhold's court jester this time around. Now for the next dilemma: Who gets to be the next divine. Was Cassandra in my first game, and this time Harold loves her, so I'm really gonna push for Leliana, but we'll see what happens.

I was able to get enough dirt to force Gaspard, Briala and Celene to all "reconcile" and work together on my most recent PT.  Apparently that royally screws Orlais over, but at least I had fun blackmailing the three of them and calling them out on their bullsh*t.  My Inquisitor had noble intentions (three great minds/perspectives working together for peace in Orlais), but I didn't

In my first game, Celene remained Empress, and I believe Briala was exiled but I don't remember. I think I prefer it if Celene survives and there's no boss fight with Florianne. Seems like a waste to kill her, when I can make a clown out of her and humiliate Corypheus instead, heh.

Mah, I'm really looking forward to romance Cassandra. Even though I'm totally into her, playing another man really holds me back. Did it for Dorian, but... I don't know. Male Inquisitors and I just don't seem to klick

 

Yes, Claudia Black is brilliant as usual and the reason why I started to play Origins in english and not in my native language. (Well... besides Mr. Valentine )

When I heard her in Diablo 3, I thought about upcoming DA:I all the time.

 

Hm... there is no main quest I hate as much as the Wicked One. Just not my cup of tea. The only way for me to enjoy it, is my personal challenge to shorten it as much as possible. Can do it by now in under 45 minutes... well... at least when I can stop myself walking around Cullen all the time, listening to the banters

Bohlin Cadash has defeated Corypheus for the final time and established the Inquisition as a mighty military power in Thedas. Vivienne is the Divine and left the Inquisition, Blackwall is dead, Solas has gone AWOL, so three companions are out of the picture. 

 

But that's all right. He had a party with lots of little cakes.

Could not get the hair to clip any less through the ear. It's a little bit ridiculous the hair doesn't adjust to the ear but oh well, I'll deal, I wanted this haircut

Cleared out Valammar. Ten hours into the game, and yet I haven't checked every nook and cranny in the Hinterlands (also due to the fact some of the enemies in certain areas are very high level), but I think I can say I'm almost ready to move on with the game.

 

But I said that on yesterday and the two days prior.

I took Dorian with me this time too and he was hilarious. I also brought Varric but I didn't find him anywhere after leaving the vestibule (foyer??) the first time. I don't think he wanted to be there.

I talked to no one except Josephine to get the Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts quest

Recruited Vivienne and Sera. Don't know why since I used Varric, Cassandra and Solas for the game

Leliana became divine

finished at level 17

 

I'm sure if I did a couple things different, I might've finished under 15 hours. Maybe next time.

 

I have 7 playthroughs of DAI done and a few others planned. Not sure when I will start the next one.

As I wrote above, I started a new game today to sweep Cullen off his feet. Did that for several hours, then I took my first shy glance at the Cullen-thread here. Found out far too much. Made me kick my archer, to bring another Trevelyan mage to glory. So repetitive but hopefully worth it.

Goal for tomorrow: Woo the lion!

 

Also my BF customized his first female Hawke today. After two hours (I didn't glimpse), he shouted 'It's done! I've got a pretty one!' I checked and his Hawke looked exactly like a younger version of his mother. Creeped the **** out of me! Didn't tell him though, he might have killed me

You didn't miss much with Varric. I thought he would have a blast at the ball. DA2 Varric would have had a blast. Inquisition Varric hardly said a word.

Well, after my fun with giants yesterday...I saw another giant fighting with a group of red templars. And I was thinking to myself, hmm, how about I just wait and see how this whole thing plays out? But being unable to resist checking on who was winning, I kind of accidentally fired my staff at the giant and much mayhem ensued! Fortunately, it all worked out and there are now a bunch more ex-red templars and ex-giants in Thedas after that - lol.

Usually what I do is kill the giants I see in the area, go do a quest and come back to the area to fight 4 sometimes 5 more giants just to get the experience points and the loot that they drop.

Today I made a RP mistake. Somewhat.

I'm playing a fem qunari.

When you first meet Bull, one of the greeting options is a phrase in qunlat. I didn't pick that one because I figured a Qun sympathiser is more likely to do that.

Then he asks if you know about the Ben-Hassrath.
So I thought, "a Vashoth wouldn't know much" so I chose "a little".

But then I thought... hold on. She was raised by Tal Vashoth parents and spent years in the company of Tal Vashoth mercenaries. People that grew up in qunari land.

And yet she never asked them about it? And they never mentioned it either? Seems unlikely.

I'm also not too fond of my character being too ignorant concerning this.

But it's too late now.

Back in Skyhold after the ball. Saw that i had to sit in judgement of someone....something... someone's remains...   lectures on the evils of evil and an end table for orphans.      Okay this is almost as good as the goat, and makes fighting Florianne totally worth it.

I love this scene and it is my favourite out of all the series so far.
