Not all get the war table mission. I got the bug instead. Kept activating, never a quest. Poor me.

Re: the artifact mission - the new patch should fix it. In fact, when I activated the one in the Solasan Temple last night, the war table mission popped up finally. Haven't made it back to Skyhold to do it yet, though. I kept track this game of how many I activated: including the first one where you meet Mihris, I activated 13 with Solas in the party and 7 without.

I had to reload a super early save (read: I had 23 hours logged and found out I had ruined my chances to romance Solas, so I reloaded a 9 hour save. NINE HOURS!) so I could try to romance Solas correctly this time. *sigh*  <_<

Sacrificed Hawke for the first time ever on a playthrough, allied with the surviving wardens, did some war table stuff, and then went to the western approach and killed some darkspawn.

Finally collected all the shards in the Oasis. The last one had me running around for an hour until I happened to be tilting the camera up and saw the teeny "energize" icon waaaaay up on the cliff I needed to get to for access. Wouldn't have been so darn frustrating if I hadn't already done it once. Something that annoying to find should not be forgotten!  I also found the last mosaic piece for "Freed Are Slaves," so that make two complete this run. Have no idea where it's being displayed though. On the way back to Skyhold, I stopped off in the Plains to see if I could ping region #21 (also supposed to be fixed with the patch) but no luck. I gave up after about 10 minutes of wandering around what I thought was the right area. Maybe next game. Got back to Skyhold and set up the "Measure the Veil" job.....it's a 10+ hr mission so no result till I get home from work tomorrow. :( Yes, I know I could "skip time ahead" but all I have left now is to march on Arbor Wilds so I may as well wait until tomorrow anyway. Hopefully either Leliana or Josie can find me some dawn lotus in the meantime so I can upgrade my electricity tonics. I really have no desire to go back to Fallow Mire just for that.

Well, this was a bit like seeing the Lady of the Lake while I was in Emprise du Lion:

Unfortunately, when I grabbed the sword, I'm afraid that it wasn't actually Excalibur - lousy pirate cutlass (not that pirates aren't cool...but...):

Man, the Oasis has got to be the worst place for collecting shards. I recently gathered them all up in the Emerald Graves and they were easy to get to compared to the oasis.

Nothing but work on my Hawke approximation. Ahawkeximation. Too bad about the lack of "Fereldan noble" tattoos, though it was more or less a shot in the dark anyway, since the screenshots I took for him were on my other computer (currently disconnected from the web) and the Keep picture is so small as to be useless as a reference. Still, relatively happy with the results.

Is an ahawkeximation anything like an apostatute B) :D

Played Diablo 3.
They have the double treasure trolls option and I want my third ring of hoarding.

And the dai multiplayer is pathetically clunky slow moving and just overall bad. Bioware needs to take a lesson in how to do a mp dungeon crawler from Diablo for the next game.

After Friday I'll be back with the single player of this game.

Yeeeeah, that was after a dragon and then some red templars (including a behemoth) on Nightmare - lol. Aside from not having great gear on anyone except Blackwall, Cass and Cole were kind of out of luck, so they ate it on the dragon and were stuck with low health until I hit camp later. I just landed better armor for Cass a little while ago, though - hehe.

No one left behind, that's what counts, heh.

I dunno if I'll be doing a NM run for awhile, if ever. Haven't had much practice with the tactical cam yet. I enjoy the combat better when I've only got myself to worry about  ^_^

Can't wait for Solas. Had to fire Hiraeth for looking funny and have started again with Deosil. She is also a bit funny looking but I like her face.

Had a really bad nightmare (the character creator (no seriously)) about pain and flaring green fire, giant spiders and a woman that I feel I should know.

No nightmare. It's all real. Worse than nightmare. Hole in the sky and the Divine is dead. Blaming me for it. I mean really - do I look remotely like Loghain? Noooo. I'm Dalish what other reason could they possibly need. There were two women in charge of my incarceration. One is behind-the-eyes scary. The other one makes me wonder if she doesn't have balls in those pants.

Dalish senses are tingling. Guilty of being Dalish and of being alive. Double the crime. Thank the ancestors that I'm being left with Cassandra (the one with balls) because scary-eyes Leliana frightens me far more.

I've been in the MEverse just for a change of pace (reminded me of just how much I hate that Mako). However, I read a message regarding interrogation of a cerberus operative whose head exploded all over her questioners. At the end of the message those time honoured words . . .well, ****.

This would have read better if they had let me say ****. **** shit **** :D

Wandering through the Emprise du Lion with Cassandra, Blackwall, and Dorian. Cassandra is here because  ...er, and to cross off the last name on her hit list. Blackwall is here because there are two last grey warden-y things he wants us to find, and Dorian is here because I love to hear him complain about whatever climate we're in next. Really it's because I've specced him to be our fire mage, and two of the three dragons we'll meet here are fire-susceptible, and there are lots of despair demons around too.

Anyway, just finished killing some darkspawn in Valeska's Watch, and closing a couple nearby rifts. After the fight, Dorian and Blackwall had this exchange:

D: You know, I've wondered how the average man feels about mages?

B: If you were really curious, you could ask him.... oh wait, that would involve talking to me.

D: True. So much for that.

I LOL'ed at Dorian's delivery of that last line, then I wondered a bit about Blackwall. He really seems to have something against mages. He couldn't get along with Vivienne at all, though in fairness, he did try for awhile. With Dorian he just seems to immediately turn on the snark. Haven't taken him out anywhere with Solas in the group. I'd swap Dorian out for Solas, but Dorian is a riot. He even teased Cassandra about being in love. I guess that's one thing he and Blackwall have in common.

Also, anyone else see this on their travels through the area?

What did I do today?

Well, I spend the last two days to revert to Patch 2 again. I loved the Walk function but missed the 'duplicate item glitch'.

I found out it is pretty easy to do. You just need to delete and/or override a few files and delete the Patch folder.

So, now I'm back on track playing Patch 2 again. Everything is a it should be.

I just cba running around collecting herbs, leather and metal a sixth time. If you know what I mean?

Oh lordy! I've found the pyramid before, but never seen the people before! I must put that on Adaar's 'to do' list (Josie keeps it regularly updated for her).

In our most recent adventures, Adaar popped off to Therinfal Redoubt to recruit some templars. I’m not entirely sure why a fortress is called a redoubt? Is it because when your enemies see it, they say ‘wow, we should rethink this, boys’ and go home?? Probably not. Anyway, she worked her way through the redoubt, losing only one pompous nobleman (what a shame!) before confronting Lucius. Only, he doesn’t play fair. He plunged her into some bizarre alternate reality, where Leliana enjoys murdering people even more, and Cullen gets angry at an imaginary war table. Compared to Cadash, Adaar retained her composure wonderfully, and was much more receptive to helpful spirits.

She rounded off the whole train-wreck of a trip by killing the Envy demon. It was rather hilarious seeing Adaar give the templars a speech about how the templar order is still good and noble because these ones stood against the red lyrium. Barris was thoroughly inspired and rallied the templars. So Adaar suggested they quit their day job and come work for her. Cass and Viv disapproved a little, but other than that, we’re golden.

My new team returned to the Hinterlands, trying to track down bears so that the rogues can have some better armour. Apparently, when you’re looking for bears, they suddenly become hard to find. And when you do find them, they drop little loot. There are bandits aplenty though, so at least there’s something to do.
Eventually, I gave up on the bears, and Adaar took the team to drop something off at the Western Fortress. Naturally, it summons a demon, because why wouldn’t it.

Adaar took a peek through an Occularum and goes off to collect a handful of Shards. Collected one by jumping from one rickety wooden ledge to another. When she went to jump back, Cole was in the way, so she splatted into the ground far below. Just wait until the next time you need a barrier, matey. Whilst up on a cliff collecting one Shard, she sees five bears down below. FIVE. All within spitting distance of each other! Where were you blighters earlier? I thought they were territorial, but nope, the little buggers are practically frolicking down there. Do we dare take on five at once? Of course. Ah, I’d forgotten how much Cole loves shouting “you can’t hurt me!” whilst getting completely spanked by enemies. In the end, Cassandra finished off the bears, whilst the others took a dirt nap. At least we got some hides though!

I have accepted the fact that everything is arranged to take as much of your time as possible. The shards are no exception.

So, when you have a shard location on your radar just go in the opposite direction...

Five bears  I've never seen more than three at once. Get them one after the other, with very little break in between, especially on the Storm Coast, but never five in a group. Maybe they saw how much fun the mabari were having, roaming in a pack.

Sure would like to find out more about it, even if it's just to find out who the guys were that are stuck in the ceiling, and where the guy in the shorts came from...but I guess it's just a random thing.

It happened to me yesterday. I had 4 bears fighting me and the companions near the fortress, where the key for Valammar is found, and after 1 was killed the bad guys starting helping the bears fight me. At the end, 4 bears dead and 3 bad guys dead. My Lucy Cadash was in heaven. Using charging bull or as I call it The Charging Dwarf, to knock everything down.

In Lavellan's completed playthrough, reloaded to before the Temple of Mythal and started Solas's quest now that it actually works.  It's sad how hungry I am for more content with that stupid egghead elf.

In Adaar's playthrough, got Tyrdda's Staff, picked up the Knight Enchanter spec, and proceeded to yell "JEDI IN THE HOUSE" at zombies.  God, I missed playing a stupidly OP mage.

Today at work, I thought about that it's time again for a Lavellan day. Now I read, that it seems today was / is Lavellan day for some people. I feel so mainstream.

I had her on my second playthrough. Cared nearly only about solasmancing, made a lot of bad descisions and got to know none of the other people who travelled with me (for reasons I didn't unterstand or cared about). So... when everything was done, my Solas curiosity was satisfied and my fangirl heart was completly shattered, I decided to go waaaay back with this particular Lavellan. Mostly because I liked her looks so much and I was sure I wasn't able to make a female elf that would even come close. Besides, I love my Lavellan to be a mage.

I play her once in a while, did Halamshiral a while back and should head to the Western Approach.

But today that was not on my agenda. Instead, I killed an Avvar chieftain-son, got attacked by lovely farting goats that looked like Rams and sent a supposedly drunk man off to Tevinter.

After that I hopped to the Hissing Wastes for the first time (even though I got the feeling that I've been here before...), searched for a merchant and... the same procedure as every time: Fell into the canyon and onto some poisened spiders. Why don't I do damage to them?

After buying some armor schematics, I headed off to the Skyhold underforge... where I decided that I need to kill more nugs. I love nugleather!

Next stop was Chateau d'Onterre, nugless but beautiful and after several walkthroughs still creepy. Even more creepy, as it was my first time there using SweetFX.

Last point on my today-to-do-list was Cassandra's idea. We checked on the Lord Seeker and - what a surprise - killed him. Had a weird talk afterwards. So much to think about! Must discuss with Solas. At least, in my maker's head.

Oh... and I figured out, that FlyCam seems to work much better with the new patch. Made some beautiful pictures. And would have made some more, if my finger wasn't so lazy.

So far today, I started working on the "Tempest" path for my first Rouge. I decided that I needed a break from the Mage class, after I finished my second mage character, and I've heard good things about the Archer/Tempest build. I also decided that I am going to spend the extra time to read all of the codex entries as I pick them up. I rushed through my previous playthroughs, and I neglected myself the pleasure of stopping to smell the flowers, to really get the feel for the current state of Thedas. My Quizzy is also starting his romance with Dorian!
