Oh my, Solas does not like Remanna AT ALL! She got prickly when he demeaned the Dalish and their attempts at preserving their heritage - he is so Elf-ier than thou! Not sure what else got stuck in his craw, but when she tried to talk to him the other day, he said she wanted everyone's obedience. She tried to figure out what she might do to make things better between them and he told her to do something worthy of his respect. It may have been one of those garbled banter bugs, but I'm pretty sure her response contained the letters F and U. ![]()

A walk in the silence
Ok. Now here's something I think very few actually do - if they have to be honest.
I left Skyhold without my team and went for a walk in the dunes in The Hissing Wastes.
Just walking in the sand, letting the thoughts wander as I step. Feeling the silence and emptyness.
It calms you down.
And now with the new Walk function it is possible. Isn't it a strange world?

He really is. It was really interesting in my first game to romance Sera as an elf inquisitor. To make the romance work I really had to see things from her side, and now in my second game, even with no elfy connection at all, I find it tough to see things any different. Wondering if I should've done the Solas romance first, heh.he is so Elf-ier than thou!

I have a thing I'd like an opinion on.
Those of you who played Mass Effect. Did you feel that your Sheperd was more close and personal than the inquisitor?
I was just wondering.
Well, I can't watch the cutscenes. So, I don't know if a lot of the character lies in these?
As it is now I have this feeling of something is missing somewhere.

LOL....in the game I just finished there was a lot of desk polishing as well. It ended up very shiny. ![]()

Adahsulahn went dragon hunting in the Emprise with Bull, Solas and Sera after exterminating a demon and some very messy red Templars inhabiting a Dalish fortress. Although Inquisition experts tell her it may not be possible to tidy up the leftovers from the Templar's party Adahsulan remains optimistic. Packs full of dragon loot and the remaining Emprise shards the intrepid dragon hunters left the final beast snoozing as it seemed no immediate threat to Inquisition forces.
With Corypheus' next destination certain it was time to head for the Arbor Wilds with Blackwall, Cole, and Solas. Adahsulahn was overwhelmed by the revelations in the ancient temple of her people and reaffirmed her dedication to Mythal by partaking of the blessed drink with full knowledge of the likely implications of the geas (history perk and the right questions). Solas has been acting oddly since then confirming her decision to avoid his romance even if he is incredibly hot in his dragon webbing and samite battlemage mail. Good thing for Cullen that Abelas didn't follow them home (although Adahsulahn is too sweet to dump Cullen anyway). Cullen is also incredibly cute when worried, even if he persists in his Chantry beliefs.
Sera is angry again. Apparently, even when confronted with the evidence of the truth of the Elvhen gods she cannot accept that they were real. No more cookies on the roof I guess.
Time for a trip to the Hissing Wastes now. Adahsulahn needs time to learn to interpret the voices from the Well and walking in the moonlit desert seems a perfect place for that. Maybe we'll stop by the Emprise on the way and kill that last dragon.

After recruiting Blackwall, Neralah decided he had to come with her everywhere. Which, for the moment, was back to boofoo, errr....the Hinterlands. Both mage and templar camps were cleared out, and the East Road bandits demolished. Watchtowers were set up to make sure none would return to cause problems. A pack of wolves taken over by a fear demon was also put down. The demon was wearing some kind of amulet that apparently made the wolves obey it. Blackwall thought it might be a good idea to keep it, just in case they came across any more. One less nasty to fight, yes? Turned out to be spot on.....while escorting a farmer's long lost druffalo back to the barn, they ran into just such a pack. The wolves left Nery and crew completely alone and instead chased after the local wildlife. Nery thought they were actually kind of cute when not coming at her teeth first. Druffy, however, didn't seem to notice the wolves weren't attacking her and tried to hide behind a rock smaller than her head.
Eventually, the wolves found something else to chase and Druffy felt safe enough to get moving again.
With the farmland area secured and all of her camps set up, Neralah, with Vivienne's unique form of persuasion, was able to recruit Master Dennet to oversee the horses and hands he was lending to the Inquisition. She (well, Solas) also talked an elven healer into leaving Redcliffe to help out the refugees at the Crossroads, and had Corp. Vale recruit any skilled workers who were interested in helping out. Sera liked that last one a lot, as did Blackwall. Yay for the little people. Nery gave her a look that said, "You better not be talking about my height again," but figured she knew what Sera really meant.
Now they've gone back to Haven to plan their next move. There are still a few things left unfinished in the Hinterlands but they might be too much to tackle at the moment. Besides, Nery has an invite to the Storm Coast to check out a Qunari-led mercenary company, and there are some Warden relics up there Blackwall is hoping to find.

I do very much feel that way but not with Shep. With the HoF (snicker). Because she was unvoiced it was my own voice touched with my own emotional response and so she was very much more a part of me. With Shep I really like her VA and so connect more to her than I do to femHawke, whose VA sets my teeth on edge. (Usually I just want to shoot Bryn Cole).
Also I think you're with Shep over 3 whole games. I got the breathe scene - does that mean she's comin' back? Please? ![]()

My new elf that has just gotten out of Val Rlouex and got out of having a trial for her althought she did hear some lovely speeches about her being a elf and a mage. It's seems humans have not changed one bit with their racism against elves like her. However, she walked around the small city for a bit gathering small red envelopes that had a location of some guy trying to kill her or make a name for himself wasn't sure becuase before he could say anything to her a fellow elf named Sera killed him. She seems like a twelve year in a twenty year olds body, but I allowed her to come to the inqusition she seems to want to help. After that we headed towards the small location that a messagener had given us that's turns out to be a house that belong to Maddam de'la fer or Vivveane for short. She was throwing a small party and a grumpy old man started yelling at me for some odd reason. But I let the small man go, as I thought he had learned his lesson. However, I let Vivveane join with the inquisition thought it might be a bit before I let her come with me on a mission. Now she is going back to Haven were she is now taken a rest until tomorrow.

(Playing on NM)
Kuruk Adaar finally returned from the temple of Mythal, forever changed. He now possessed the ancient knowledge once stored in the heart of the temple within a well once protected by equally old elven guardians, called Sentinels. He'd also discovered Corypheus could live indefinitely by infecting the bodies of those nearest him whenever he perished. He'd also nearly been fried by Corypheus' pet dragon, which also housed a part of Corypheus within it. Sorta like a horcrux or whatever one calls those things Flemeth makes. Speaking of Flemeth, he learned that he'd basically bound himself to serve an actual elven goddess when he took the power stored in the temple's well. That goddess, in turn, happened to be fused with the very mother of Morrigan. The entire ordeal sounded like something one would find in one of Varric's outrageous action novels, which everyone else seemed to have a copy of, even his kadan. (He made a note to *ahem* discuss the matter with Bull when he returned to Skyhold)
The knowledge the well provided however, was worth the trouble. They now knew Corypheus' dragon wasn't a true Archdemon, and that it could be matched; its defeat was vital to destroying Corypheus permanently. That of course, required yet another trek to a dangerous location. However, with seven high dragon skulls under his belt, Adaar was ready for anything. But first...
Time for a game of Wicked Grace. Stabilizing multiple regions across Fereldan and Orlais, as well as halting an invasion of Darkspawn, had really drained Kuruk. He was tired of being "the Herald", tired of being the "Inquisitor", and found solace - no pun intended - in being able to relax with his inner-circle.

Are you asking if I feel a stronger connection to Shepard than I do to the Inquisitor? If so, then I dunno if it's a fair comparison. If we had played the HoF in DA2 and DA:I then that would be fair. The difference lies in being shep for the entire story. Maybe it's different for people who haven't played the first and/or second ME games, I couldn't say.
Adahsulahn went dragon hunting in the Emprise with Bull, Solas and Sera after exterminating a demon and some very messy red Templars inhabiting a Dalish fortress. Wow I've never considered going to the Arbor Wilds before wrapping everything else up first. I kinda like the idea -- from a narrative POV -- of having more time to deal with the Well of Sorrows thing. I plan on having Harold drink from the well this time, and since we just entered the Arbor Wilds it'll be coming soon... but I've got nothing else left to do afterwards... well, unless I wanna go chase down the rest of the mosaic tiles

Edit: multi quoting!
.
Yeah, me too.
I have the idea that it will get me a better support throught the story somehow. Isn't it always like that when you start on a new game? Cautious?
But I'm starting to think I am wrong. If I don't like the chantry I shouldn't lick anyone's feet, right?
I had this conversation with Solas the other day. I told him I didn't agree with him. Period!
He suddenly turned around on a dime, appologised and told me I was right.
It seems you have to be steadfast.
I guess all the challenges in this game confuses and numbs your judgement. But after a couple of playthroughs I guess you change priorities and make other decisions.
I tend to be really terrible for trying to manipulate as much approval as I can out of conversations, but I figured for my first Inquisitor, I'd just make her choices true to character, and see what happens. Reloading to undo disapproval was especially forbidden! She was supposed to be the 'trial run' after all, so it didn't matter.
Somehow though, she's the only Inky who hasn't pissed off at least a few companions! Not even Vivienne. I guess it goes to show there's no point trying to appease them all!
Those of you who played Mass Effect. Did you feel that your Sheperd was more close and personal than the inquisitor?
Overall yes, probably because we follow Shep through the highs and lows for two games and several DLCs. That said, out of all protags, I felt least connected to ME3 Shep, because all my Shepards felt like they'd been moulded into one person. Likeable, but samey. The one I feel most connected to is Hawke. They had a very personal story, but you could still shape their persionality (especially how they change over the years). Inquisitor is more on a level with the HoF for me.

Lol, I used to worry about approval a lot more than I do now. Some of my characters are more tactful than others and tend to end up with more approval, but even if something comes out wrong (yup, dialog wheel does mess me up sometimes) I just let it stand - and chalk it up to the characters just not understanding each others intent. I figure I'll play enough times I'll get to see everyone at full approval at some point and many of them at significant disapproval. It is pretty hard to make companions truly hate you in most Bioware games unless you are really trying to tick them off or playing a total jerk of a PC (which I have a hard time doing). I will admit to making a significant effort when rivalmancing Fenris just because...

Entry 6 (I think
With help of the Templars I closed the breach. But as everyone was having a party to celebrate, things went sour
I shot the trebuchet, covering Haven in an avalance and barely escaped. Woke up in some cave, found out I had a new Mark-driven power and plowed through snow and a blizzard to reach the rest of the Inquisition. I woke up with Mother Giselle watching over me and the Inquisition center pieces bickering with each other
And then everybody started singing. Ugh.
So it's Inquisitor Zebah Trevelyan now. I talked to Josephine about the Orlesian Empress and headed for Varric to talk to what turned out to be Hawke.
After that I took the time to explore Skyhold, talked with everybody, recruited the Arcanist (a Dwarf, can you believe that?) and became a Templar.
We went to Crestwood and took care of a Rift in the water there. To do this we captured a keep, drained the lake and went through Dwarven ruins, in the meantime uncovering the Mayor of Crestwood had flooded the town during the last Blight. of course, he had fled. But we brought him in and sentenced him: exile. Also exiled the Templar from Therinfall Redoubt. Reached influence level 6 along the way, meaning I could get a new shop in Skyhold. It sells power/influence. I bought enough influence to reach level 7 immediatly after the shop was set up. Picked Advanced and Master Focus.
We strolled around the Western Approach a bit to get focused and then the four of us (Me, Sera, Varric and Vivienne) sought out the first dragon we came across when all this began: the Fereldan Frostback. She was no match for Sera, though I'm sure Vivienne or Varric could've taken care of the dragon just as well. I'm just the mascot of Team Dragon Slayer.
Next stop: Crestwood and the Northern Hunter. This beast also soon fell to Super Sera.
Back in the Western Approach we helped out Frederic, a dragon researcher. We did everything he asked and we got our prize: baiting the Abyssal High Dragon. It took a bit longer to fall, but it fell.
Next up was the Exalted Plains. We offered some help to the Orlesians, but our goal was clear: the dragon rumoured to live there. It took some time to find, and we needed to clear a path to get to her, but the Gamorran Stormrider proved to be no match for Super Sera in the end.
Time for a break, and then decide whether to deal with the Wardens, or go to Halamshiral.

Remanna realized that while she had been focused on saving the world, she had been neglecting her inner circle. First off, poor Cole was terrified that the venatori mages might bind him, so he asked Solas to do it. Solas was vehemently opposed to the idea, so Remanna decided to do whatever she could to help Cole. (Stick that in your fade breach, Mr. Superior!) Turns out, she just needed Josephine to ask some Rivaini nicely, and one purty necklace coming right up. Hopefully, that will help Cole remain Unbound (capitalized because it sounds so serious).
Turns out the Chantry doesn't have it's collective head up it's collective arse, and thinks that either Leiliana or Cassandra would make an excellent Divine. Remanna is leaning towards Cassandra - her ideals seem very progressive, and Remanna respects her views on mage rights. Plus, as a KE, Remanna has gained new respect for her S&S sister in melee.
Ugh, Blackwall went missing...all evidence pointed to him being in Val Royeaux at the execution of some person unknown to the Inquisition. Road Trip! Poor dejected man, not even putting up a defense, the hang man about to throw the lever when who appears to halt the execution but Blackwall...who isn't Blackwall, at all. Wow, this Tom Ranier guy sounds like a real jackhole...oh wait, Blackwall is...really?!?! This Remanna does not need...what she does need, is new drapes! Dalish drapes to go with her Dalish windows...why no Dalish bed? Oh, yes, a cot from an aravel does seem rather beneath the office...someone get on making a fashionable Dalish bed, pronto! Hmm...this Blackwall thing doesn't seem to have resolved itself, Remanna supposes she should let him have his say...darned if she doesn't have a soft spot for the man, and redemption stories! Come back, what's-yer-bucket...all is NOT forgiven, but you've done good work, keep doing that and the Inquisition will deal with the consequences. Plus, you know how to carve - you are now official Dalish bed-maker to the Inquisition!
