I went to the second floor where the library is and this is the first time I notice a NPC near a bookshelf. It turns out he is a librarian (I think this is right or maybe it was a scholar) who is recommended by Leliana. It turns out the librarian has lost some of Varric's book all over Skyhold and now he wants me to find the books
(I thought this is your job!!!). So I don't know what Leliana was drinking when hiring this guy.
That is who I need to talk with to get the missing books quest?!
I guess I only clicked on him once to find out who he was and never bothered with him again. Oops.
Neralah last left off on her way to the Storm Coast to meet up with Iron Bull and his merc band. The camp set up by Scout Harding was close to the rendezvous point, so after getting a quick overview of the area, Nery (with her team of Blackwall, Solas, and Sera) headed off to their meeting. When they arrived, the mercs were busy fighting off a raiding party of Tevinters. Once they were taken out it was down to business. So, Bull is not only a Qunari, but he's a Qunari spy? Isn't he kind of big and obvious for that kind of thing? Not at all the sneaky type like Leliana, but it must work for him. At least he was upfront about it. Nery figured the more the merrier, so why the heck not? and hired them on. Leliana would probably appreciate the extra intel from his network too, so for the moment it seemed like a win-win. She told him to head back to Haven and they could discuss what jobs might fit his team once she returned.
Next item on the agenda was to look for the soldiers Harding mentioned had gone to talk with the local bandit gang. They hadn't been heard from since, which is usually a bad sign. It didn't take them long to find the bodies. Well, sh*t. Who are these guys and how can I end them? Nery wondered. She may not feel all that Herald-y, but those were her men that were killed! That demands a response. Now, she could either go in sword flailing and try to kill them all or, according to some notes found in the house with the dead soldiers, make some kind of trinket and use it to challenge the leader of the gang. She opted for the latter, hoping that the rest of these "Blades of Hessarian," as they called themselves, would see reason once their leader was no longer around. The whole encounter was actually easier than she thought it would be, even if bandit-leader guy sent his two (very large) attack dogs after them. With him dead, the next-in-charge guy of the Blades swore their allegiance to Nery, who started to think maybe this Herald thing might have an upside after all.
With the Blades on board, Nery could turn her attention to a different group of warriors. There were rumours that Grey Wardens had passed through the area and might even still be there, so off the four of them trudged in search of..... They found some abandoned camps, notes on the locals, old relics that Blackwall stuck in his pack, even a vintage bottle with the name, Warden Carver Hawke, on it. But sadly, no Wardens. They appeared to be searching for another Warden, whom they didn't name, but Blackwall didn't know who they might be talking about.
During all this tromping about they ran into plenty of local wildlife (the bears and spiders were especially aggressive, and plentiful!) and of course more fade rifts and demons. Also saw a giant and dragon fighting each other. The dragon eventually won the battle and then flew off to parts unknown. Nery, ever the opportunist, quickly found what was left of the giant and scavenged what she could. With the coast pretty well settled and all her camps set up, Nery headed back to Haven to sell off all the extra loot she'd found, and reevaluate her and her team's equipment. Next stop: Fallow Mire. "You're not squeamish about undead, are you?"
