No. There is no sexy time with Mr. Solas (at least that was shown). Patrick Weekes said that he wanted it to be left ambiguous for the the players to decide for themselves if Lavellan and Solas had sex. There's lots of kissing though ![]()

Can we all take a moment and remember the Abyssal High Dragon? What a beautiful creature! ((Even on my 360)) Remanna was almost sorry that she had to kill it...but once Fredric had her bait the traps, there was no going back. The girl put up a hell of a fight, but Remanna was strengthened by the knowledge that she was serving science. Which reminded her, wasn't Josie supposed to be hanging these heads somewhere to impress people - she made a note to ask where they were when she got back to Skyhold. Found another quarry, so she can finally finish the last upgrade - fix the main tower. Personally, she could think of no small number of things she would repair before that, but apparently the Herald of Andraste only gets to make certain decisions...
One of them bore fruit, as she was able to gain access to new parts of the Western Approach thanks to having a bridge built over (?) the noxious gas lake...hey, let's go down into the creepy hole! Wow, say what you will about the Imperium, but they built their prisons to last..but somebody has been very naughty, as the place is overrun with darkspawn. As Sera so eloquently puts it "Stupid darkspawn ruin everything!" - even Tevinter prisons, it would seem. This one name keeps popping up all over the Western Approach...Remana thinks that finding this Servis person might prove interesting, if not useful. Coincidentally, someone has left a note telling her exactly where he can be found. Prison building may be a strong suit of the 'vints, but covering their tracks, not so much. After much fighting, looting, horticultural discoveries and the like, things got a little shaky...literally! Turns out, down the hall was a 'trained giant' - Vivienne did not approve. Sadly, the giant had to go...he was between Remanna and her next goal...as were the Tevinters and another 'trained giant'...yes, in quotes because, honestly what were those people thinking! Servis was taken, along with some notes showing that perhaps he was more an opportunist than a follower of Corypheus. There may be some wiggle room in his judgment...
But first, Sera had cookies!!! Remanna loves cookies...unfortunately, Sera's cookies were rubbish. But they did provide an opportunity for bonding...Remanna learned more about Sera, and actually has realized that she feels rather maternal towards her. She wouldn't dare try it, but Remanna thinks that Sera really needs a hug - and better cookies. Definitely better cookies.
First they accuse her of causing the giant explosion which wiped out the Temple of Andraste and tore a hole in the sky, now they want Dofni Cadash to fix it.

Dofni?

Or is it a 'Bianca'?

I have a hard time killing those dragons.
It was exiting to begin with. But as you play a couple of games and know how to build a strong team and use all the advantages it's not anymore. I feel sorry for these grand dinosaurs. It's just like bringing a pig to the slaughterhouse.
I think they are not evil enough. I have no reason to kill them, except that I need their scales and bones.
I'm hoping that once I get to level 23, the experience points will be more generous
My first playthrough I got about halfway through level 24, so I like to top that. I believe I will unless I just stop exploring and finish the main quest.
.
Don't get your hopes up.
I made a character where I used a trainer to gain levels, xp and influence. Just to see what the game had in stock.
You don't get better xp as such when you are higher levelled. And it really doesn't help you a lot. You just gain access to better gear, crafting materials. Then you have elements as The Temple Of Pride giving you resistance etc.
My overall intuition tells me you have to get as many rifts as possible. That's the main goal.
I think the XP is a fake element, if you know what I mean?
There are many parameters you level on. Experience, Influence, completing quests, and your overall progression. And I am pretty sure they all have to add up together. Every achievement is tied to all the other ingredients.
It doesn't help you to have a full XP bar. Well, you have permission to use any armor and weapon, but that's it.
Influence gives you access to locatons, and that's it.
She wouldn't dare try it, but Remanna thinks that Sera really needs a hug - and better cookies. Definitely better cookies.
I would pay Bioware good money to let me hug companions. So many people in need, so few arms squishing them tightly. ![]()

Or just a simple dialogue option that allowed you to say 'Thank you', 'Thanks for helping out', 'What you just did..' etc.
I miss those dialogue options during exploring.
Maybe it could be connected to the approval system?

Yeah, so do I. I like to ask Leliana about what she knows about the place.
And I really wish for that "hug companion/Advisors whenever we want" option.

Seconded! So many of them need hugs! Loads of them!

I think the Abyssal High Dragon is my favorite. Part of it is everything you have to go through just to get her to appear, but she is a beatiful dragon, and when she finally does appear, when you're standing there next to a big pile of stinky dragon bait, and she circles a couple times, and the epic music starts, it's just a great moment.

Dofni?
Where did you get that name, SporkFu?
Or is it a 'Bianca'?
Ahhh, Dofni.
The seventh daughter of her line to be named such... but the first since being made casteless... after her ancestor, the infamous adventurer Dofni the Headstrong, who, at the time of her life, ventured alone farther into the deep roads than any dwarf had ever ventured before. Occasionally someone from a grand expedition would stumble upon a simple rune carved in the stone, the letter D and an arrow leading in one direction or another. Sometimes it was an old coin that was found, or a scrap of nugskin leather, once the hilt of a dagger, since lost in a game of Wicked Grace. She never returned from that last adventure, and there are few on the surface who care to remember. Dofni's mother was one of those who did remember, and believed she saw greatness in her infant child.
Of course her older brother, and bane of her life, told the tale differently, and said her father passed too close to the stables on his way home for her naming day, and sneezed when he walked in the door, and her name was the sound of that sneeze.... but no one believes him
We also had an early bird cameo from Morrigan.Spoiler(Yep, I took a pic specifically because that lame pun cracked me up!).
Too funny. Harold walked up to an ocularum somewhere in the Emerald Graves, and that is where Morrigan chose to land at that very moment.
Remember in DA:O, when you're wandering through the Korcari Wilds, looking for those vials of darkspawn blood. When you meet Morrigan, she says she's been watching your progress for some time (or something like that). There's a squirrel who tags along with you as you trudge through the place. You can always hear it squeaking, and occasionally it'll run past in front of you. I've always thought it was her in disquise.
.
Ha ha ha!
Just look at Varric and Vivienne. Look at the expression in their faces. This is a good one
Who's resigning here?
That's awesome.
(playing on NM)
Kuruk Adaar spent much of his time preparing for an assault on Corypheus at the Temple of Sacred Ashes, but first made sure to appreciate the final moments with his inner circle. He even took Cole to Val Royeaux, although he reminded himself to teach Cole the wonders of enjoying food. He found Varric a new test audience for his stories in Cassandra, who secretly enjoyed his smut literature, and helped Leliana gain closure over the death of Divine Justinia. He admired her determination and decided she would likely be the best candidate for Divine. He complimented Viv for her fashion advice, and couldn't resist prodding Blackwall with jokes about his Warden-recruit status. He discovered the secret of Solasan temple and learned about infamous line of Fairel in the Hissing Wastes. Then, he killed the last High Dragon spotted in Thedas at the moment. Solas, in his trademarked formality and cynicism, thanked Kuruk for being his friend and the voices of the Well told Adaar that there was more to his words than they seemed. Adaar made a mental note of this.
Cullen was still having occasional bouts with his lyrium withdrawal but was proving his will to be implacable and remained in top form during their operations at the War Council meetings. Dorian seemed hopelessly skeptical that Tevinter would be capable of changing, but nonetheless thanked Kuruk for being a true friend. Kuruk also made sure to thank Krem and the Chargers for successfully completing several critical missions - including wiping out the last remnants of abominations in Adamant - and treated them to his entire stock of rare spirits in Skyhold's winery. Nobody breaks open the casks like Adaar does. Then Sera, much to his chagrin, helped Kuruk discover that his kadan liked to kiss and tell what went on in his quarters; something that Kuruk would *ahem* discuss with him eventually, but cast that pet peeve aside because it wasn't much of a priority. He and his kadan did spend some time together and Kuruk learned what watch-words the other Inner Circle members would probably have chosen, based on his kadan's Ben-Hassrath training.
However, Kuruk ironically also learned what Bull's watch-word was: katoh. The same as his. He'd used it when Adaar told him about his uncertainty re: their final mission, and Bull assured him that they'd both survive.
The mischievous side of Kuruk imagined the ensuing moment to be a scene right out of one of Varric's smut and then thought of the title Varric had once used to refer to his relationship with his kadan: Safe Harbor from the Storm. A guaranteed best-seller. That said, it seemed that the Iron Bull did in fact have needs of his own.
Kuruk later awoke with a start, and knew it was time to begin the final assault. The voices from the well had spoken.
Started off in the Western Approach to investigate some darkspawn so the party ventured north. Turns out the pathway is blocked through some gas blockage. Then a random phoenix came from the gas and the bull thought it was a good idea to charge after it
. The ensuing battle was teetering on the edge of this toxic gas and I am surprised everyone didn't die with being so close. Some of the party were actually coughing from the gas whilst in mid-combat.
Went back to Skyhold and collected all the books for the librarian guy and I regretfully talked to him again. He just happened to lose another 48 books
. These books however will remain forever lost because the inquisitor is not doing it again (It's also not looking good for his job performance review. I might go so far as judging imprisonment (if it were possible) in Skyhold for wasting the inquisitor's time). I then went into the potion area to stock on some lyrium potions. I don't really need to use them it's just the nostalgia of having a blue lyrium potion for the mages (in earlier Dragon Ages, I would use LOADS of lyrium potions but not so much for DAI).
Before I did anything else, I went to the dog shop and spent over 20,000 gold on schematics. Why can't I just pickpocket the items off the shop as I am a rogue!!! I was exploring the wastes and examining a generic treasure chest which had an item called "Orlesian Mage Hat" (or it might have been a Battlemage Hat). Surprisingly it had a stat of about 25 so it's both stylish and useful. It is a natural fit for Vivienne and she is currently the embodiment of style. ![]()
I completed the dawkspawn quest and I got to judge Servis. I chose imprisonment so he has the honour of being Skyhold's first prisoner. I also upgraded the garden to a Chantry garden and usually nothing happens but this time a wartable mission popped up. I also had time to do a mission for Cassandra and I encouraged her to rebuild.
Finally I started the Adamant quest and I like the scene when Clarel says the Grey Warden motto then BOOM.
I finished when everyone entered the fade so the inquisitor is going to spend the night in the fade with a nightmare demon watching.

So, question for the warriors among you from a guy who has only played a mage and an archer so far: Is a melee inquisitor always as awkward to play as it seems to be in the beginning? Dofni sure likes to take huge impressive-looking swings at absolutely nothing a lot. I liked it when my companions were the warriors. I just let them do their thing, and since Cass, Blackwall and the Bull seem kinda good at it, I never really had to pay attention to them. Now I'm the one having to do that thing, and it's kinda weird.
Also, recommendations please: S&S warrior or 2H warrior?
I'm sure others have answered already but I'll throw in my 2 cents anyway.
Melee combat definitely takes a while to get used to. My first game was dual daggers and half the time early on I was slashing thin air.
I really missed (still do) the auto-attack in normal play; here it is only available while using tac-cam.
I'm now playing S/S and once I got some decent special moves unlocked, combat became a bit easier. I use Grappling Chain a lot, to bring enemies (especially ranged ones) to me instead of having to chase them down. There are also some abilities that auto-move you toward an enemy, like Lunge and Slash (Blackwall has that but I don't yet). I find I'm also using pause a lot more to set up attacks; I put up Shield Wall and start heading towards baddies, while I set up the ranged members for a first salvo. I probably wouldn't worry about doing that if I was playing on casual but it seems to really help on hard difficulty. I need all the help I can get!
As for which style, I prefer S/S for higher defense, although 2H in DA2 was super fun. Since Bull is such a glass cannon, I'm sorta leery of 2H in DAI. Also, the Breach reflects nicely in your shield if you are facing away from it.
Thank you. I'm kinda glad to see I'm not the only one who slashes at thin air a lot, heh. I spent a good half-hour -- and a fair number of health potions -- just wandering the Hinterlands picking fights with templars and mages and bandits, just to practice, and it's getting a little better. The only time it's annoying is when there's a tree blocking my view, heh.I'm sure others have answered already but I'll throw in my 2 cents anyway.

One thing I've done with Bull is to teach him War Cry and set it to preferred to help him build up guard and a couple Vanguard perks when he's hacking away at the enemy. It works wonders.
