I've decided I'm going to get all the bottles this game. Using the guide helps immensely.....I found one in Fallow Mire in a place I don't even remember going to before. I'm stuck at 8/12 tiles for the Hinterlands mosaic, but I did complete two last game, so that's something. I tried ignoring the shards last game but that didn't work so collect them all again I shall.  <_<

Wow   I'm level 12 and I haven't even sealed the Breach (the first time) yet! How do you get that far in the game at that low a level???

I honestly don't know. I just mainly did companion quests to gain power for this part.

Almost completed In Your Heart Shall Burn. The snow walking segment was something else; I never expected such a moment of weakness in Dragon Age. All other times, you're accompanied by capable friends or protected by your own strength. That segment though... it's something else. I didn't complete the introduction to Skyhold since I keep myself on a timer, but I have seen the mountain, and I have climbed it.

I progressed though Varric's quest until the final scene. It turns out Bianca isn't totally innocent and she somehow turns it around as though I'm in the wrong . She said something like "you better not get Varric killed" but she already nearly did this as Varric was knocked out multiple times just to sort out her mess. I wish I could have voiced my disapproval more strongly.

Went back to Skyhold and I tried to cheat Cullen at chess and he found out. My rogue inquisitor (probably with a high cunning) couldn't outfox Cullen which is shameful . I also made Cole more spiritual. I love the scene with the Templar especially the background music when the Templar apologises. Back to Skyhold and I met the Quizguy for the 3rd time and got a reward.

Spoiler

Tried to kill my second dragon on nightmare at lv 18. It was at Crestwood with what I thought was my strongest team including Vivienne, Sera and Blackwall. I am not proud to say that I failed on three attempts :pinched:. I was controlling Vivienne and I was doing the spirit blade move which kept her barriers up but the dragon lucked out and killed her on a split second when she didn't have her barrier up. What's worse is the dragon was lv 14. I am a bit embarrassed so lets just gloss over this

I abandoned this for the moment to unlock the Exalted Plains. I just started clearing out the undead so I will continue this tomorrow.

Any time I've gone dragon hunting with Vivienne, they always seem to zap her at the precise moment her barriers are down, so I can totally sympathize, heh. Maybe it's just Viv?

Lucy "The Charging Dwarf" Cadash has finished her playthrough. This is my 8th playthrough that I finished which started out as my 9th playthrough.

I completed everything except collecting the pages for the journal in the Hissing Wastes and didn't do Dorian's personal quest.

stats

time - 117 hours

difficulty -  hard. After Haven, nightmare

class - 2 handed warrior

romance - Sera

coin - 101 012

power points - 228

level - 24

influence - level 17

What is surprising about the stats is they're similiar to my first playthrough, except I did less, but had more power points, less influence and the level is the same.

My intent was to get to level 25. I believe I know where I went wrong and will correct that in another playthrough. I will say that it took forever to go from level 22 to level 23

What was worse is that she was equipped with armour resistant to electric and stocked with electric potions. Also she was 4 levels higher than the dragon!

Yeah so it wasn't my proudest moment. :pinched: (Cole's spirit power of making me forget would be useful right about now)

The few times I've taken Vivienne to fight a dragon, I take control of her and she does very well

I meant nothing by it.

The other thing that helped her is I gave her a fade touched silverite for her armor when hit gets 5 guard.

Playing a mage in my first game, I never used her much, except for her personal fetch quests. In my last game, I never took control of her a any time, and it just seemed like she was less concerned with putting up barriers than Solas or Dorian. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

She's a knight enchanter and since I was playing as a warrior,  I figured it would be easier to control her by applying barriers to the others while still dealing damage to the dragon.

I probably should put dragon hunting on hold until I get this. I am going to sink my teeth into the Exalted Plain region before then. I should also lv up by then as well. Blackwall coincidently had fade-touched obsidian and he did last longer than I thought.

However if in the future, the lv 14 dragon demolishes my lv 20 party with fade-touched Silverite. I may become inconsolable

Heh, putting up barriers for the others was the one thing I had trouble remembering to do with my own K-E. May have been why she was always the only one left standing at the end of fights

 That could work. Just have Krem and the Chargers get Bull drunk enough to pass out first, so he doesn't see you sneaking the head into the castle.

Inky: Yeah, it was an epic battle. Too bad you missed it.

I did the same. I think if you don't change her tactics, her priority for barrier is to put it on herself first, whereas Dorian's is to get the whole party and Solas's is to put a barrier on Inky first.

*bows to the spymaster* ...there it is. I still haven't taken a good look at tactics and behaviors yet. All I had time for today (so far) was to recruit the *cough* grey warden, he of the amazing beard. Figures Vivienne would be a "me first" kinda gal.

Oh, don't quote me on this, I read it somewhere too :P I don't remember my source (probably here, though) but it seemed to match up with what I'd found in-game. I'm usually rather thorough with tactics and it hasn't actually been necessary this time around. I mean aside from Cassandra bringing home stray bears...

And of course she's a "me first" gal, wouldn't want to ruin her outfit! 'Tis why Dorian makes sure to get the party a barrier, just helping everyone (and their beards) stay fabulous

Well, she does look marvelous, darling. Makes sense in a way, though. Being a K-E, she should, in theory, be right in the middle of the action, and so nearby party members would benefit from her barriers but that's it.
