There's some good resistance gear in the Solasan temple in the Forbidden Oasis, but it requires a lot of shards. If you get desperate, try some shard hunting. A break and some extra xp might help too
.
Only problem is he will have to collect every shard in the game to get his electricity resistance in The Temple Of Pride. It's the last chamber that only opens after you've opened all the others downstairs. 6 shards to open the front door + 108 to mopen the rest of the doors.

I did this one today too. I kind of nudged him in the direction of reconciliation this time though. Also did Solas' quest with his spirit friend. That one always makes my heart ache. One of these days I won't stop him from killing those idiot mages.
Btw, I finally got my romance going with Blackwall. Totally worth the wait. Now I just have to slog through both Adamant and the Winter Palace to get to the next stage.....ugh, that's going to take a long time playing on hard. Though technically I could do either/both missions now.....hmmm
I don't think I would ever NOT go for reconciliation.
Otherwise that would feel like a waste of my time. We came all the way here and you two aren't even gonna talk? Hell no.

Lately in Dragon Age Inquisition:
We helped Varric's girlfriend shut down a lyrium smuggling operation, and I can never unsee Varric's choice of zipper:
At the end, lovers drama! My quizzie tried not to laugh at Bianca's "threats".
Because these days that's the kind of food we have for breakfast (yummy):
While we were in the area, we decided to pay a visit to Dorian father but since I had forgotten you are magically transported to Skyhold at the end of that quest, and that I had planned to stab kill kill that Ferelden Frostback we turned back... let's just headcanon Dorian father was late.
So my party decided we had time to do some tourism, Cassandra didn't get mauled by a mob for her choice of shield design in the middle of a Fereldan town:
We stole found Carver booze:
Then it was time for some Dragon Stab Kill Kill:
Finally Solas decided to be a show off with his madz climbing skillz:
Next time: Dorian family drama! Hope killing a dragon beforehand helped him relax.

My next Inquisitor is a lady Qunari mage - she will be a Mortalitasi(I wanted to play each of the classes first) and will be romancing Sera. Ever since I learned how to screenshot by editing clips on my Xbox One I've been going a bit picture crazy.
Oh, and multi is lot's of fun, but the matches can last a while.

I'd been working on a lot of my companions' personal quests and yesterday, I finished them all. After that, I took on the abyss. After getting my memories back, I had to sacrifice Stroud so the rest of us could escape the fade. The Grey Wardens realized they were decieved by Cory's minion, and most even helped kill the demons top side while I was stuck in the fade. It was a tough choice; ally with the wardens after everything or kick them out. In the end, I decided to ask them to fight with the Inquisition. They need help rebuilding afterall. Not to mention my Inquisitor is dating Blackwall, and at this point in the game, she thinks he's a warden too. So why wouldn't she try to help them out? Naturally, half of my companions disapproved. Sheesh.
Once the abyss was taken care of, I decided to finish up a quest on the Storm Coast. And while there, I discovered Dragon Island. I defeated my first dragon in the Hinterlands and thought, Hey, let's go hunt another. But alas, the dragon on the Storm Coast proved to be much too strong for us. First I lost Cassandra, then Blackwall. Oh nos! Then I lost Solas. With my companions all dead, I was left to go stealth and get the heck outta dodge.
It was full on retreat!

Another day, dragon. Another day.

I was Eluvian hunting in the Arbor Wilds with my fellow companions Dorian, Varric and Kadan. Would definitely go back there on vacation. Maybe without Kadan. He was a bit of a pissbag the whole trip through. First - after a meet & greet with some Wardens - he asked if I pissed off even more Wardens than the ones Corypheus turned over. Yeah, I'm walking around, pissing off Wardens all day long. Even those who are not really Wardens, hrhr.
We slashed through a lot of eh... Venatoris, I was midfight, missed a Venatori and accidentally pommel-striked a stealthy Sentinel. What a glorious first encounter. Dragon Hunter greataxe pommel in the face! Of course I acted like I totally did that on purpose. I'm such a hero! Carta nose for stealthy ****.
So, we ran across the Wilds, spotted something that looked like a bigbig elven temple and then... we turned around 'cause some weird voice inside of my head wouldn't shut up about 'there must be a second camp! There always were two camps! Where is the other one?' Didn't really know what that meant, but at least, we found that mysterious second camp, looted it and went back to the temple.
Big thing. Really big. Can't really believe that elves did that. I mean, look at them now. I've seen some alienages and building seems not to be their kind of thing. Anways, it really looked impressive. Would have loved to check it out more closely, but we had to run from that Freak who first killed elves, then got killed and rose again. Creepy.
The b... eh... witch who could not be convinced not to follow me got it all wrong. Corypheus wanted to get to a Well, not a mirror. Heard much too much about elven lore, didn't want to listen and jumped into a hole, after that Calpernia witch. Too. Many. Witches.
The rest was piece-of-cakey. Killing more Venatori, talking to more of these Sentinels who didn't believe my words and had to pay for that. Not my fault, I came in peace. Mostly. Witchybitch flew off and I wasn't that sad about it.
We ran after her and that Abelas fellow, until Calpernia crossed our path again. Gave her a letter and she strolled off. As I said: I came in peace.
Eventually we arrived at the Well, Witchybitch killed Abelas because he wanted to destroy it (I'm still not sure if it would have been such a bad thing) and insisted in drinking. I just couldn't let her do it. I don't trust her one bit and Dorian wouldn't drink either so... it had to be me. My memory is a bit blurry. I drank, everything was dark and I yelled a bit at bodyless whispers. Woke up to the voice of Kadan, asking me something like 'was it worth it?' The same person who encouraged me to drink the stuff in the first place! Come to think about it, he wants me to drink a lot of stuff.
So now I have these weird little noises in my head and I met an old Witch (yes, please throw more witches at me!) who told me she was Mythal and that I have to obey her. Sometime, not now.
Again: Creepy. Also I figured that I've never been in Skyhold Garden. I'm really not into nature, running through it all day long so when I'm home, I prefer stone.
Well, before we encountered that old Witch - who turned out to be Morrigan's Mother, Leliana approached me, telling me to follow Morrigan into the Eluvian because her son ran off. I didn't even know she had a son. And he seemed quite nice. For a son of Morrigan. Also her motherly behaviour made me overthink our relationship. Maybe she's not as bitchy as I thought. We definitely had a moment. Until she laughed at me saying, she now was relieved she hadn't drink the Well. Yay me.
Things can only get better.

Dofni's been a very busy dwarf lately, wandering all over the Hinterlands. Just arrived at Master Dennett's farm, with Blackwall, Sera and Solas. Sera told Blackwall that she joined up because the inquisition can't be all growly all the time, like he and Cassandra are, and he replied that Cassandra doesn't have the hair to be growly all the time. Sera surmised that maybe she did, just... not on her face. Sera, you naughty girl. Still feels weird not to have Cassandra be a part of the gang. Her skills are gonna get rusty with nothing but practice dummies to slice at. And they're not even iron ones, although Dofni has dug enough iron out of the rocks to build lots of practice dummies.
Master Dennett said he wouldn't commit his stable of horses to the inquisition until we solved a few problems for him, so that's what we've been doing. Well, technically we haven't solved anything yet, but we have found out what he wants us to do; wolves and watchtowers. He even gave Dofni a horse for her very own so she could scout out watchtower sites a little more quickly if she desired. Against her nature, Dofni reluctantly accepted, while privately vowing that the ancestor's stone balls would grow hair of their own before she ever got up on the animal.
Oh wait, she's just been dared to ride the horse through a home-made race course by the horsemaster's daughter. Crap. Well, after Seanna very graciously adjusted the stirrups on the saddle, Dofni ignored Sera's snickering and climbed up. Turned out she was a better rider than she ever thought possible, and completed all three races in record time. Now she would never get on another horse. She might, however, accept a ride from a nuggalope one day ![]()
Back in Haven, she stood silently by while Leliana ordered a traitor taken care of. Yes I know this means Leliana wuill be a cold-hearted b**** later on, but that's okay. Scary as she is, I think I like her better when she takes no sh*t from anyone. This behavior is more in tune with Dofni's point-of-view anyway. I mean, she had Vivienne kill a total stranger just for being a pompous ass; she couldn't just stop the spymaster from having a proven traitor killed, right?
So, some rifts closed (but not the one by the river yet), some shards found, a couple of constellations discovered (one left in the Hinterlands now) a templar camp emptied out, and a few agents acquired -- Anais, Berand, and Ellendra -- that's where we are at the moment; off to scout some watchtower sites.
Speaking of agents, I forgot to talk to Belle in Val Royeaux after the scene with Lord Seeker Lucius, and when i went back to try and find her again -- and shop for some schematics -- she was gone. So, fair warning folks -- don't leave the city if you want to recruit her or you'll miss your chance.

That happened to me in my first playthrough. I went to Val Royeaux, just talked to Lucius and went back to Haven. I didn't even know about Belle.
When my love arrived in Val Royeaux, he asked me about recruiting Belle. Just could ask 'Who?' Never happened again and I still wonder if it's a bug or a feature.

After Lucius took his army of eight templars *snicker* and marched away, I saw Belle standing there and even said to myself, "don't forget to recruit Belle," and even started over to her, then I stopped to chat with the revered mother instead, since she seemed to be in a bit of discomfort and probably wanted to leave. Then I went shopping. Then I chased down some Red Jenny handkerchiefs. Then Fiona interrupted, though she won't remember it. Then Madame de Fer invited me to her salon. Then I forgot to recruit Belle ![]()

I started a new game last night.
My first time as a mage - ever.
I'm in Haven. Hushed Whispers is next.
I've never played a mage. Not out of disrespect but archer has always been my preferred class. You know, stay a little behind, having the overview and avoid damage.
So, this is a new experience.
I chosed frost as main element. Figured it would be best if Solas gets the spirit, Vivienne fire and Dorian electricity. And I've seen a video on Youtube that frost is a good choice if you go for Knight Enchanter. I have to check out these spirit blades, fade cloak and fade shield.
But!?? Why don't they MOVE???

Yep, knight-enchanters are ridiculously awesome. I found that -- apart from Barrier and Energy Barrage -- static cage was my best friend. Good for corralling the bad guys so I could go in and slice them to pieces with the spirit blade. Having said that, my next mage will be a rift mage.

At lv 19, on nightmare in the Exalted Plains.
Firstly, I needed to clear all the ramparts of the undead and this means killing a lot of undead. I managed to complete all the areas and I looked in my inventory and there was 63 corpse hearts. So I know that I've killed a least this amount. The imperial army was just hanging around during this time and provided no assistance at all. But later when the inquisitor blows the horns, the army are quick enough to move in straight away (the gall of some people
).
I had Solas with me and I promised to rescue a friend. The inquisitor didn't want to mess around with wards so he just killed the demon. Solas disapproved and he wanted to kill the mages. The inquisitor didn't allow this either and got more disapproval. I bet Solas wishes that he didn't even bother to mention the request to begin with
. He went off in a mood leaving the inquisitor and my two other party members. He was the only mage in the party so I collected some shards and retreated.
I completed the Dirthamen quest and defeated the Highest One without dying. Then I went to the Oasis to unlock the temple doors. I am about 2/3rds done as I completed the fire/ice doors. I went to the Hissing Wastes to finish some odds and ends. I finished all the tombs (avoided the dragon for the moment) and I am missing one mosaic piece
. Some red Templars were spotted in the Wounded Coast so I cleared them off and at the end is a boat. The temptation to go look at the Vinsomer was there but it is out of the question at the minute.
For a change of pace, I decided to start the Winter Palace. My party consists of Vivienne, Solas and Sera (I've just realised that I have no warriors
and I need to do the boss fight to get my favourite scene. Aw well, I'll stick by this decision). So a nice soothing pace of a ball is a welcome change from all the fighting in the past few days. It turns out that I am looking for an assassin and my inquisitor is an assassin. An assassin tracking an assassin. I hope I get the judgment scene tomorrow

Must....not....hit....play...don't do it....don't do it....I can wait, really I can, until I get to that point in the story. Ok, did not hit play. I'm good. For now.
I didn't bring him in either of my first two games, so this time should be interesting. You know, I actually kinda feel sorry for the poor guy. He can tank just about any enemy in the game, by himself, but turns into a defenseless puddle of goo with the Inquisitor. ![]()

Thanks, heh. Maybe someday, after I've at least tried NM once first. A bazillion PTs of ME3 on casual did nothing to prepare me for MP. All it did was make me lazy.
Oh, I'm afraid to give MP a try for fear it will consume me like ME3 MP did. I finally had to quit it cold turkey. Only played a handful of matches in the last year and a half or so. It was super fun though, even if I did suck at the harder difficulties. If you want to try DA out sometime, let me know. ![]()

I stood around for nearly 2 hours doing nothing waiting for my puppetmaster, themikefest, to move me somewhere.
I crafted myself a new staff
I changed Iron Bull from a 2 handed warrior to sword and shield warrior. Now he doesn't die all the time.
I crafted a really nice shield for both Cassandra and Iron Bull.
Now I wait to see what the puppetmaster has in store for me. He better hurry up and decide.

In my mind at the moment it is as though she is saying "THE INQUISITOR WILL BUY FROM MY SHOP AND I DON'T CARE WHO TELLS ME OTHERWISE!!!". Or was she just in the neighbourhood?
