I probably found this more funny than I should . Does she give you an explanation why she is there?

In my mind at the moment it is as though she is saying "THE INQUISITOR WILL BUY FROM MY SHOP AND I DON'T CARE WHO TELLS ME OTHERWISE!!!". Or was she just in the neighbourhood?

She still claims to be a step up from Seggritt. Can't say I really disagree. :D

Did Dorian's quest...and the credits music began playing?
Also, behemoths. Don't even try to run them over. Spoiler alert: it doesn't work.

I just got a funny from Cole re: my Blackwall romance, when speaking with him at Skyhold. For those who haven't heard it yet, when I clicked on him, he said:

Spoiler

I just about died laughing! Too bad quizzy couldn't respond to his remark, but I think she might have been struck speechless.

On my second play through, Dorian just showed up, and now I'm wondering who the hell Calpernia is, what happened to Samson?

Lol, I found that hilarious too (I'm also currently on my Blackwall romance pt).  I actually uploaded it on YouTube after it happened because I didn't see that anyone else had.

Bull's romance.

The look on her face is the same as my mage's when she walked into her room, and Bull was sitting on the bed, and he said, "You want to ride the Bull." ...it wasn't even a question.

Oh, I'm afraid to give MP a try for fear it will consume me like ME3 MP did. I finally had to quit it cold turkey. Only played a handful of matches in the last year and a half or so. It was super fun though, even if I did suck at the harder difficulties.  If you want to try DA out sometime, let me know. :)

Will do :)

Are you guys thinking of Bonny Sims? She's the merchant in Skyhold who looks like Belle, but isn't. I think all Belle does is give Josie a boost to the time it takes her to complete war table missions.

On my second play through, Dorian just showed up, and now I'm wondering who the hell Calpernia is, what happened to Samson?

Did you pick the templars instead of the mages?

So, now I pissed Vivienne off...

But mages are better than everyone else, darling -- Vivienne.

Have been giving making a new Inquisitor a shot, but omg, disaster-ville. Actually, the last one came close to almost being acceptable, but the eyebrows bugged me -and the lips kind of. Oh well, time to try again...

Just to take a break from Dofni's journey, I started up a new game and went to work creating an elf for either Cullen or Solas next (haven't decided). It didn't turn out as well as I thought.

EDIT: Wish I could import my mage from my first game, and just tweak her looks a bit.

Hahaha, I was just saying I wanted to clone my other mage since she was pretty good - and I will post her pic in here (I guess I haven't before):

That would be Kara Trevelyan (aka my KE who got me through my Nightmare playthrough).

Nice :)

This game really needs face codes that we can copy/paste.

This was my mage, Maharie Lavellan. She was kinda goofy-looking but I liked the way she turned out for the most part. If I could go back and tweak some things I would, though.

Well, if they're ever able to make it work where we can change our appearance in-game, like DA2's Black Emporium mirror, that'd be alright... as long as it doesn't cost crafting resources to use.

Just some T2 schematic I bought in Val Royeaux, by the merchant upstairs.
Then you use dragon bone as base plus Imperial Vestment Cotton as healing option on the arms and boots.

Yes, I also discovered the dress was quite handsome made. Also the female. They don't look even half as nice on that picture above. When you wear it you can see the textile shimmer and glow from orange to glowing yellow.

Today, Dofni and the gang -- Blackwall, Varric, and Solas -- went to the Storm Coast while Cullen's troops put up some watchtowers around the Hinterlands. Dofni wanted to see if this mercenary group, the Bull's Chargers, were as good as they claimed.

Side note: While in the midst of collecting shards and peering through astrariums, and killing deepstalkers and spiders, Dofni figured out the secret to keeping the requisitions officer from pestering her every time she got near the camp!

Spoiler

Dunno how good a fighter this Iron Bull fella really is -- we kinda had to step in and save his ass -- but he's definitely big. Dofni had to look wayyyyy up while talking to him. At any rate, we hired him to join the Inquisition, then promptly sent him and his company back to Haven to sort out payment details with Josephine. There must have been a two-for-one sale on the Storm Coast today because we then recruited the Blades of Hessarian for the Inquisition, too. Varric suggested that when we got back to Haven, we should pit the two groups against each other in a contest of skill, like the proving back in Orzammar that he'd heard about. He further suggested it'd be good for morale, and also to give our new army a taste of dwarven culture. Dofni promised to bring it up at the next war council, but told Varric not to start counting his betting slips just yet.

From the Blades of Hessarian encampment, we headed due west further into the forest and found a path cut into the rock. Following it led us to ancient unmarked tomb that appeared to be of dwarven construction. It was full of deepstalkers as well, but at level 8, they're hardly worth the effort anymore. In the Tomb we found this:

Spoiler

so jumping all over the rocks to get through that path was worth it. Never saw that shield before.  :D

Then we went back to the coast to resume our spindleweed harvesting and shard collecting, and we saw the mighty high dragon, Vinsomer, first try to bite, and then zap, the head off a giant.

Spoiler

Didn't dare get any closer than this, heh. Was a good thing too, cuz Vinsomer took a backwards leap just before flying away and ended up just on the other side of that boat  Somehow the giant was still alive, but on his last legs, so we kinda creeped over to see if maybe it'd drop dead before we got there, but no such luck. He must have realized that we witnessed his embarrassing manhandling because he dropped a rock on Dofni's head before she could close the distance to finish him off. The rest of the gang took care of him though, and we got even more loot, including a nice ice staff for Solas.

And that's where we are at the moment, on our way to close a few rifts and try and find the astrarium cave, as well as a few grey warden-y things for Blackwall. Am kinda hoping to level up a couple more times before going back to the Hinterlands to take on the three great bears, and that rift down by the river.

I was thinking of Bonny Simms when making the post. So is the woman who joins at Val Royeaux, Bonny Simms?

I'm now confused, I thought it was. (I guess I should pay more attention :)

Edit: I now realise the agent at Val Royeaux is Belle. So my previous post now lacks context

Bonny Simms is the name of the woman who becomes a merchant at Skyhold. Belle is the woman in Val Royeaux, whom you can recruit, through dialogue, after the scene with Lucius. The two women have the same outfit on, but they aren't the same person.

It's a less Civ (no base building), a bit more actiony and with a weird alternate timeline Japanese story (march 1935, war between Eastern Europe and the Atlantic Federation... whatever that may be :P. Small towns in the Netherlands are huuuge povinces in the game, windmills in Russia... like they took all European countries and put em in a large bowl of Japan with a strong Dutch flavor.)

And it's rather big on story, where xcom basically doesn't have one.

Anyway, I think it's time to make a female Qunari mage.

Wrapped things up on the Storm Coast, as much as possible at this point in the game anyway. Blackwall is such a pushover. I get the feeling that he'll agree with just about anything I say. Helps that I've been finding lots of grey warden-y things for him, I guess.

Closing the last rift on the coast has pushed Dofni up to level 9, so I'm kinda feeling like it might be time to give that rift by the river a try. Have to report back to the horsemaster anyway now that those watchtowers have been constructed. Back to Haven first, through, to have a quick chat with Iron Bull and Krem. Once in awhile, I can hear femshep in Jennifer's Hale's voice, just in the way she says certain words. I imagine if I went back and played KotOR, I'd hear femshep in Bastila too now.

I'm beginning to fall in love with being a 2H warrior. It's fun to have Dofni run up to to the bad guys and taunt them, then hit them with a mighty blow, then just pound them into the dirt with the sheer force of her swings. She's such a little badass. B)

Something seems to be wrong. Yesterday I went out of likes again and I'm still not able to raise my thumb :(

[edit] Okay, I got 4 thumbs... I don't understand this system.[/edit]

Won't have anything to add today, 'cause in supposedly twenty minutes (hopefully) Steam allows me to enjoy the drama of Telltale's GoT Episode 2.

Also had a laugh when Cole told me about Blackwall's naked-knowledge. Love Cole anyways for his comments on the romance angles "What's an Orlesian tickler?" or the great bdsm explanation "She submits, but you serve!"

Well... and the banter with Solas when he pushed Lavellan away is just heartbreaking. If that's possible.

As always, Sera cuts right to the heart of matters. We lost Stroud today, and with him, the world’s second best moustache. You will be missed. Oh, and Stroud too. He will also be missed.

All of Adaar’s fangirl illusions about the Wardens were shattered. She’d always thought these people were brave and heroic (that Hero of Ferelden sounds rather impressive). But no, some nupter called Clarel thought she’d follow the advice of Erimond and summon a demon army. Erimond! The guy practically has ‘mwah ha ha’ tattooed on his forehead. He probably hands out business cards with that on.

Everyone was shaken up by the Fade. Cole was making even less sense than usual, and more hysterically. Adaar and Varric made soothing noises that seemed to calm him down. Yet another reason why he should keep a nug in his hat. Nobody could be upset with a nug in a hat. Unless it had a little plop, I suppose. Perhaps Leliana would agree to send one of Schmooples II’s babies? One of her agents could bring it over. Maybe Servis, he seems like a trustworthy chap... right? I’m sure Cassandra would love being subjected to adorable nugs again. She could secretly cuddle it while reading her book. Adaar wouldn’t tell anyone, promise!

Cassandra didn’t like the Fade either, and was completely thrown off by the appearance of the 'Divine Demon'. No relation to Desire Demons, and not just due to the lack of nipple tassels. She regained her fire when the Nightmare started trying to taunt her again. Not a wise move, Nightmare.

Likewise, Varric wasn’t happy here. Not that Varric seems happy anywhere these days. Makes me want to replay DA2 so that I can appreciate the hell out of him. That would require swapping out Isabela, Merrill or Fenris for long periods of time, but I think I could rise to the challenge. Perhaps if I decide to marathon DA at some point! Varric was upset at being taunted about Hawke. Poor guy. This is the part where you’re supposed to comfort him, Hawke! But no, she’s been hypnotised by Stroudstache.

Don’t worry Varric, there’s no way Hawke would be sacrificed. Not for Stroud, anyway (sorry, Stroud). Due to Adaar’s extreme prejudice against facial hair (and no meta reasons at all...) our lovely moustachioed Warden stayed behind to battle a horrible spider. The Wardens were permitted to stay, because Blights.

To the surprise of no one, Solas threw a spectacular strop about that at Skyhold. “It’s not the demon army part I object to...” Seriously, man? That seems pretty objectionable to me! It is a very, very large object. Strange man.

Look at this wonderful face. She's much more photogenic than some of the others. Dorian tends to do some blinky-eye thing. Solas sometimes looks like he's chewing a wasp. Cole often looks like a hat with legs.
Spoiler

Adaar decided not to suggest Cass go to Varric for writing tips. Probably wouldn’t go down well. Not when she just beat Iron Bull to a pulp with a stick. Especially not since she divided into two Cassandras, just so that she could beat him whilst also being stood two metres away stabbing a training dummy. Scary.
