Realized i'd screwed up so reloaded a previous save so I could recruit Sera in Orlais because I couldn't figure out how to get to the Upper Market. I bought the strategy guide so I don't miss anything this time. Screw the spoilers! Then I found out how to recruit Blackwall finally. I had the wrong quest selected so I recruited him. I'm torn between romancing him or Cullen. I've heard Blackwall has the better love scene so if that's the case he gets the nod. And I fortunately read the forum on how to build a DW rogue, and found I only made a couple of mistakes. I've heard you can respec your character, but I don't know how to do that yet. Varric is gone from the party now and it's Vivienne and Solas as rift mages with either Cassandra or Blackwall because I need a tank and dual rift mages to keep my DW rogue alive and the tank to keep the rift mages alive.

Then Daenerys did some crafting and finally got some decent daggers. Daenerys' Sacrifice, and Daenerys' Vengeance. I should have called them Love and Hate. They're sacrificial daggers. Also she made Blackwall an axe called Blackie's Chopper. So now it's off to farming for more resources so that I can craft some more crap. I didn't know this that crafted weapons and armor have no level restriction. I may go back and reload Orlais and see if any of the merchants have weapons and armor schematics for sale.

If I'm doing my math right -- never guaranteed to be the case -- I need 25 more shards to unlock the final two doors of the Temple of Pride in the Forbidden Oasis, with only the Emprise de Lion and Hissing Waste to find them in. Hope there's enough, if there's even any, in those places.

As for the group, well, we just finished Cassandra's "unfinished business" quest. On the way to kill that last guy, we stumbled upon some giants. Yikes. Tough b******s, and I love how they keep swiping at us even after we get them off their feet. Kinda wondering about the Emerald Graves, because we seem to be running out of quests to do here, but only have about half the map uncovered. Is it a small place?

I spent 2 hours trying to find the last Caprice and the last Secret in the Winter Palace.

And gave up.

The quest to open the vault is stuck on my screen despite leaving the area.

Frak it all.

Wish I could get those 2 hours back.

Finished my nightmare playthrough, finally.

Started a new playthrough, made it to Haven, realized (once again) that I hate my character. Restarted again, made it to Haven, not happy with my character. I swear I've replayed the epilogue like 20 times in total across all my playthroughs.

Many of them don't show up until you search the Servant Quarters and then talk to the Grand Duchess. So places that had no secrets or caprices prior to those to things will have them later. I think it's means of showing the progression of time at the party.

Completed the 3,752 quests required to lure the Abyssal High Dragon in the Western Approach...then felt like a huge a-hole when I was fighting her and she started limping. I guess I just don't have the heart for dragon hunting. But I want the trophy, damn it!

Steel your heart. There is good loot to be looted.

So I got to the Storm Coast, and you know the Dragon and the Giant fighting each other?

I was just sitting there watching them, hoping it would bug out and give me the Dracolisk operation. Instead, the Dragon turns to me, shoots a lightning ball, then flies off. I'm wondering "Where the hell is the Giant?"

The Giant in question was sliding down the side of a mountain, dead.

There is enough to open the last door. My first playthrough I got all shards and the trophy for opening the last door. Some of the shards were a pain to get.

At the ball, while dancing with Florianne (would really have preferred not to) I thought I saw a gilded/golden bust of Flemeth on one of the pillars.

Good to know, thanks Mike. I need 7 more for the second door, and 18 for the last -- if I'm figuring it right -- then I'll have all the loot from the temple of pride.

I did the Champions of the Just questline for the first time out of curiosity.  It was... interesting, to say the least.  While In Hushed Whispers had that cool time-travel thing, I think I like this one more.  I've read people say it was more personal to the Inquisitor, and it certainly is.  I wish I did this quest first, or if it were possible to recruit both the mages and templars.  That said, Envy really creeped me out ("I touched so much of you" ... wtf, and that Cullen impersonation O.o;; )

Today I laughed as my fiance used hold the line right on top of a giant and it shot it into the air. The giant nearly died of fall damage.

I killed my first dragon. Tried to go head to head with TIB in the tavern with whatever swill he was drinking. A wonder I didn't wake up in the morning with my head over the edge of the bed and Cullen laughing until the sounds of retching hits his ears and he beats a hasty retreat. Serve him right. Thank the maker I don't have to clean it up. I'm the Inquisitor. -_-

And, and, and - the Knight-Enchanter hilty weapony thing does it work kind of like the omni-tool melee weapony thing?

I just killed another dragon after being informed by my trusty friend that I had missed a third one in Emprise du Lion. Took a few tries, but I got a spiffy new helmet for Blackwall (my Inquisitor's sweetie must have the best gear). Well, the helmet was spiffy stats-wise, not so much for in the aesthetics department - but hey, that's what the helmet toggle is for!

Heh, look at all the dragon killing going on in this thread all of a sudden.  :D

My little elf mage wrapped things up in the Emerald Graves today, including hunting down and slaying The Greater Mistral. We had scouted it out briefly before while going to spread some ashes over the side of a cliff. As an aside, funny moment here: The ashes blew into Sera's face, and she coughed and complained. I think it kinda grossed her out.

Anyway, I quickly realized my little elf mage would not be able to face the dragon, equipped as she was to be a cold-damage-dealing death machine. So, we diverted back to skyhold to change things up. I crafted her a new fire-damage-dealing, dragon-slaying-rune-infused, guard-building masterwork staff -- which...just... holy crap, it almost feels like cheating!  -- and some new warden battlemage armor, decked out with great bear hides for the cold resistance.

I could have solo'd that dragon.

With a few energy barrages to build up guard (thanks to the fade-touched obsidian in the staff) and barriers (thanks to the knight-enchanter's Fade Shield), my little elf mage didn't take a single point of damage.

Oh, it was beautiful.

Sigh. Anyway, now that I'm done with the Emerald Graves, I dunno where to head next. Should I go back to Emprise de Lion, and at least wrap up Blackwall's personal fetch-quest? Should I go to the Hissing Waste? Should I finally go and deal with the Grey Warden problem? Hmmm....

EDIT: I know, I'll go back to the Storm Coast and see what Vinsomer is up to. Lightning dragons are vulnerable to fire right?  :?

EDIT#2: Vinsomer's head now holds pride of place in the Skyhold Trophy room, even if I still dunno where that is. My little elf mage practically did have to solo this one. Cassandra, Blackwall and Sera didn't last very long against all the lightning, and the vortexes, and the slashing, and the clawing, and the biting, and... well, you get the idea. Sera outlasted the other two, which was kinda surprising given how quickly the Greater Mistral wiped her out. But, when I say she outlasted the other two, it was maybe by a minute. I tried to keep them all safe with barriers, but I couldn't replenish them for the others quickly enough.

Vinsomer is a tough one; he puts up guard quite often, and it takes a lot to punch through it... although it might just have seemed that way because my little elf mage was the only one left doing any damage. But the dragon's guard didn't last long against her spirit blade; slice, dice, chop, lunge, jab and it was gone, and I could get back to whittling away the beast's health. Took some damage this time, but only at one point, when VBlackwall and Cassandra went down. I dunno what attack Vinsomer used, but it destroyed everyone's guard immediately.

Anyway, the score is: Little elf mage 6, dragons 2 (the Fereldan Frostback killed us twice).

I was very busy today.

I found a shield made of cheese.

I became a Mortalitasi; Knight-Enchanter is great for survivability, but there's no greater pleasure than seeing a 50 foot Infected troll become your templar-whacking pet.

I had innocent civilians and soldiers killed in a ballroom just to get a better bow...then realized later I could buy an equivalent bow, so re-loaded back and called out her crimes instead. Made her my Agent. Making her a jester was very tempting.

Cassandra loved her cheesewheel. But we had to make her give it up when it started attracting wildlife. :crying:
