I personally would prefer if the inquisition had a team to hunter/gather resources for me so I didn't have to ping every damn where. Just let me "clear" an area and then send in teams to harvest nodes..
I am fine with the "ping" mechanic for finding chests and loot drops.. but i think its a bit much for crafting nodes.
Do you realize that there are war table missions just to gather resources of different kinds?
Hated the large radius on ping before which made finding stuff frustrating.

Faster to just gather in the field, unless you want to return to Skyhold every 15 minutes for 6 silverite.

Exactly, those "resource gather" missions are bullshit, especially when you can just STAND at a known node for a rare material for 15 minutes and get just as much.. The whole resource gathering system is in need of an overhaul.
What is the procedure for finding quest items, or how do I find that ping thing?
How do I search when the controls vibrate? I'm using Xbox. What buttons do I use?
If I recall it's click the down left analog control until you see the gold ring pulse out on your screen.
