Or even a way to make one armour (vanguard armour) look like another like (free army worrier armour) withe mayby a masterwork item or a type of option after you made the armour.

"Most games don't have that as a feature" my butt.

Dragon's Dogma (Item you purchase that allows you to edit yourself and your pawn at any time.)

Kingdoms of Amalur (Any mirror in any house you own)

Skyrim (Console "Showracemenu" OR Vanguard DLC)

Dragon age 2 (DLC)

Dragon Age Origins... OH WAIT. They didn't do that but MODDERS DID.

Saints Row (Dunno how it's done, never played it.)

South park and the stick of truth (Mirrors)

And that's just the ones off the top of my head.

While I LOVE most of my characters appearances I'm not keen on one of their makeup (in-game it looks WAY too vibrant. I was going for subtle.) And it would be nice to be able to change something if I decide I don't like it after all.

OH and please re-add the tattoos from DA:O and DA2...there's something bothersome when you

You know what makes it even more annoying that this hasn't been done already? Other, currently active, BioWare games have this option. I play SWTOR and we can redo our characters at any time.

"But that wasn't at launch and came later" some people would say. My reply would be "So?"

BioWare -knows- this is a feature people want. They also know how to make it happen, as evidenced by Dragon Age 2 and SWTOR. There is, simply put, NO reason we don't have it already. Mix in all the problems with the characters, the voice change bug, and it's actually ****** poor of them to withhold it, for any reason whatsoever.

After getting the 'prison scene won't launch, so stuck in middle of nowhere'-bug a dozen times, I've learned to not spend hours in CC trying to perfectionate my character... an ingame option to edit your character after creating it would be great! Heck, I'd love to add some scars too after playing for some time.

I'm hoping so much it's in the next patch.

Bump, because in 2015 it is still a very pressing issue.

I suspect I may have responded in this thread already, but I definitely think it was an oversight to fail to provide this option in DA:I.

I created a Dalish elf.  When she speaks, there is a red mustache effect from the gums/teeth showing through the skin.  However, in a scene where she smiled, her whole set of teeth appeared through her cheek like a good zombie make-up effect.  Given the nature of the scene, that did not work well.  I do not know if this is a face/structure issue or a mouth choice one, but since there is a thread about appearances I thought I would put this out there.

My character is perfect. I could have used this in Origins though.

But, I support this option anyway, and I'll tell you why.

There are times when the Inquisitor's appearance should change. Like the hair growing longer after a period of time. Or becoming messy. For example, the part where you have to walk in the cold and snow for an unspecified amount of time. The game will display wear and tear on your clothing to indicate this passage of time and exposure to the elements. But your face stays the same. I would have liked to edit my character's facial hair at this point to give him a slight beard, or to mess up his hair after all he had been through. It would have been more realistic.

Some Inquisitors might just want to grow a beard. Or for the ladies, do their hair differently. Or get a tattoo.

So yes, I am for this.

This is pathetic. I'm now at the point that I'm hoping the mod community could do something to make my game playable because the studio is incapable of doing so.

No word whatsoever on patch progress, content, or eta.

DA2, great story, lousy game.
ME3, great game, most ****** poor ending period. Bad enough I've shelved the trilogy for good. Waste of time...
DA:I ... pathetic. Combat is clunky, characters are old gen graphics, hairstyles have less options that swtor, and oh yeah... bugged so bad a pile of us can't even play it. Game of the year? Clearly a bought and paid for title. This has been the worst gaming experience I've had since that damn jump in Ninja Gaiden circa 1988. Well, that's a lie. ME3's ending took that title. DA:I just ensured BioWare successfully defended the title.

Yeah, the silence on the next patch is infuriating.

Everyone realizes it's been the holidays, right?  They deserve some time off just like anyone else so that's probably why you're not getting daily updates on upcoming patches.  A little perspective might be in order, it's just a game.

Mark Darrah @BioMarkDarrah 12 déc.

@sinosleep007 everything is an act of prioritization. We can't do everything at launch. If game is doing well, we can do some afterwards

But MP will continue to get free DLC ?...

I believe them when they say that there are plenty of features, fixes, and additions that they mean to implement in upcoming patches. Inquisition is absolutely, positively, massive in scope and grand in scale. So I have no issue taking Bioware at their word when they say they simply ran out of time and couldn't squeeze in everything they may have liked to at launch. So long as we continue to make yourselves heard, politely, I'm sure we'll see most of the changes and improvements that we'd all gladly welcome in the game.

Being able to customize our appearance during the game seems to me to perfectly fit the category of things that may not have been able to have been present at launch due to constraints of time and resources. As such, I have no doubt this is something we'll be seeing in an update sooner rather than latter.

Why do we have to be referred to Twitter for Bioware communication??? This is their Forum!! Regardless of the topic you are on, there has been a complete absence of any Bioware involvement or presence. If anything is designed to get the haters really upset, it is this. F all response since 20th December. We can talk about Mirrors and tactics and whatever floats your boat, but until Bioware is visible there is no point. We end up talking into a vaccuum. No one can hear you scream!

Not a whisper from Darrah, Laidlaw or Lee for weeks. This parrot is deceased!

I have lost all hope for Bioware. They just aren't the same woman I fell in love with so many years ago.

I think I'll just go back to only supporting indi devs again. Devs who give a crap about their community and actually attempt to interact with them when they have suggestions/concerns.

I agree with you completely, but I don't understand why you feel the need to be all defensive about it. Legitimate complaint if I ever saw one, just the same as everyone else's. You've got my vote.

Also, drop by the thread here, I've been trying to compile a list about all these "minor" things that should have been included and aren't. http://forum.bioware...sible-spoilers/

And this is your reply? Seriously? Not even a "hello, we acknowledge your complaint"? Just a twitter link thrown to our face and that's that? And you call THAT good customer support?!?! :o I am seriously re-thinking buying the xbone version of this now...

@Timmy301 @AlexandusRex I'm still here. We will look into player customization options. No promises

No promises, oh wow. That is actually... shocking.

I know exactly what you mean. If there is just one problem it eats away at you bit by bit, until you can't concentrate on the cutscenes because you are thinking "it looks like hes got lip stick on. ****!"

I agree with the OP. After DA2 (DLC), I thought that the feature would be already included for the sequel.

I mean no offense to you, but perhaps you don't have enough knowledge on game development and which features are easy or hard to implement to comment on this issue; it is something that could have been implemented with minimal effort. There would not have been significant time and resource constraints to adding something like this. The resources are in the game already, and they just had to give our concerns the time of day.
