So I've been having this ongoing issue with nugs committing suicide by jumping into my walking path. I can't avoid them, they literally come out of nowhere! I end up either killing the nug or kicking it and hurting it which gains disapproval from Cassandra, Iron Bull and Varric!  :(

I'm not trying to be a nug kicker/abuser, the little guys are always in the wrong place at the wrong time, lol. Varric and Cassandra will actually make comments when it happens too....Makes me feel terrible.

If this keeps up Liliana is going to show up and kick my arse for kicking Shmooples kin.  :P

Anyone else having an issue with really stupid nugs or am I just destined to be a big, mean bully?

I really think Vivienne should give approval for when we kill such unsightly creatures. Those nugs look stupid, I wish we could catch some and roast them over at Skyhold, I should remember to invite Lelianna.

I find the whole random animal slaughter funny in this game. I use fade step to move around faster, and it has an upgrade for damage. I am LMAO every time a random bunny/deer jumps in my way, I fade step through them and kill them, and then my Inquisitor screams at the top of their lungs: ''DIE!!!'' or ''GOODBYE!!''.

At least they die quickly, if you hit one of those augusta rams they run around the map and lock you in combat for the next five minutes.

Seeing as how we have to hunt the animals for food sometimes, some of the quests are about hunting them, I don't see anything wrong with killing and taking their pelt. People eat animals, so I'm not sure why nugs are an exception, really. It's not like we just kill them and just leave their body there, as long as we use up everything. As I recall, nugs are a common food among dwarves.

No, no, I'm talking about the Inquisitors verbal rage towards animals during such combat, specially when as I specified it was basically a ''road kill''.

What did he say?

"Nugs are kind. Almost everything is bigger than they, but they're still happy. If you hold out your hand, they will nuzzle it. It's how they call you 'friend.'"

That's cute (Not being sarcastic). Realistically though, if your inquisitor doesn't kill them then other animals would do it, as it is the wild, and it is a staple food for people at Orzammar. Maybe not your inquisitor, but there are people who do need to eat them to survive. In a time of war, it's not like we can be picky in what we can choose to eat. In my mind, everytime I hunt them, I save up the meat for people at Skyhold or feeding villagers.

Realistically? Pls..

Realistically:

-''Inquisitor we need to stop Cory before he becomes a God and messes up the whole Thedas!''

-''Shh, can't you see I'm busy hunting? You will scare away the pray..''

Why not hunt rams? There's a lot more meat on them and you can use all the other parts too, as the codex entry mentions.

Well, if you're on the road, you can kill games on the way, seeing as there are camps everywhere, they could take them back, and I could be on my way. The game does lack the urgency you can find in many games, so we don't know the time interval between each main missions, my inquisitor could very do different stuffs in those time interval.

I do it also, but different flavor and different taste, can't eat the same thing everyday. Rams are also not in every part I'm visiting, nugs and rams sometimes live in different land. I also don't see the justification of not killing something because it's ugly or kill something because it's ugly. It's like people who have trouble killing butterflies but don't hesitate to kill spiders despite spiders important in maintaining the eco balance.

That is funny that you get disapproval from Cass for killing nugs because in my game she randomly kills them. I will be running around and she will suddenly stab the crap out of one and scream "Maker take you!" I won't even be in combat mode.

In DA:O nugs were only found in the Deep, and Dwarven areas underground. However, somehow after the 5th blight they made it to the surface. Now in the deep nugs had very little food and managed to thrive in that enviroment, on the surface they have boomed because they can eat anything, they have a fast and short reproductive cycle. This is why they are quickly becoming dominant species even though they are easy to kill, and taste good.

If this is true my game is broken. I've committed nug genocide and I always have Cassandra with me. No approval drop. Ever.
