Bioware please fix Pull of the Abyss!

Apparently it doesn't matter whether you are on host or off. If I get the bug it will happen quite consistently throughout the match. Pull of the Abyss first pulls the enemies in and then they teleport back to random positions around you. It also doesn't seem to be the issue of too many enemies on one spot, because I just had a single golden nug teleport out of my PotA and get away (I wouldn't mind the random spawn locations if bullsh*t like this didn't happen).

 

On Threatening, this can be very annoying but on Perilous it will often kill me or at least trigger Guardian Spirit, because it means I just blew my Fade Cloak and now have the aggro of every enemy archer conveniently positioned around me.

 

I'd appreciate it if you could look into this and find a fix for it. Maybe give us some feedback, even if it's just "we're looking into it".

This has been an ongoing issue on the PS4.  If you are just noticing it now then the patch likely caused the same glitch that we have been experiencing since launch.

No, this has been an issue on PC since launch as well. I just never happened to me off host until today. And I never had a golden nug teleport out of it before ... :angry:

 

Amelia said they already worked out a fix for the rampage bug which will probably appear in the next patch, so I wanted to get their attention on this one.

Yes that's just so annoying, not just to the arcane warriors.  I've been killed so many times as an archer because something just teleport right in front of me.

This has been happening since launch.  It's just arcane warrior is so op that it doesn't really matter unless you're a bad player.

I was using that ability a fair bit for the 1st time yesterday in treacherous but stopped when the assassin in the group was complaining constantly about it screw up his kills and putting him in danger.

I had the same issues several time. I also teleported back after some fadesteps on an otherwise unlaggy host. Managed to desync after fadestep once too.

This is of course a bug, and bad coding, but I think the reason it is happening is that if you cant kill the enemies while they are in the AOE of the pull, when the pull wears off they will immediatly be swooped to the exact location they would be in if the pull didnt interrupt them. That seems to me to be the case. Unfortunatly it can be quite hard to work around.

Of course, on perilous this is really dangerous, but on other difficulties a good team or even a lone AW should be able to kill everything in the pull before it times out...

I can't imagine this was intended.  The risk (especially with your other spells on cooldown after casting PotA), is not worth the effect it produces.  I've had to get Fade Step just to escape the mobs teleporting around me.  Is there a list of known bugs they're working on somewhere?  I'd like to see they're aware of some of these issues.

Nope. When I don't get the bug, then it doesn't matter whether or not I kill the enemies during the pull duration, they will stay clustered up.

I've noticed similar issues with Static Cage on the Keeper. I have to wonder if they were coded in a similar way, which may well have made them both share this problem. I don't notice it too often using Static Cage if I'm honest, it's only really when whatever group I've locked down survives the duration and decide they are now ninja's.

Or unless you're an other player. You know some ele or archer or someshit performing your role from the back and get an enemy teleported into your anus.

No it's not.
Because reavers can still get the bug without dying.
Happened to me last night.

Clearing an entire pull before abyss ends, however, is perfectly possible as long as your AW isn't completely brain dead. A necro also helps. Or a templar. Or a reaver. Mostly a necro though. That combo is stupidly powerful.

There's one giant flaw with your kill everything assumption. When this happens, the AW cant hit the mobs in the pull, everything you use hits nothing but air.

Walking bomb hits.
fade cloak explosion hits.
in fact, most things still hit.

You can't tell me they don't, because they do.

A walking bomb in the mix is basically all it takes. Then just kill one enemy and laugh.

When abyss bugs out like this the mobs aren't actually in the center, they are bugged out. I can chain lightning once and then all my spirit blades whiff air and fade cloak hits nothing. I have played AW extensively and been dealing with this situation for weeks. I'll say it again, your assumption is flawed.

It's not an assumption bro its what I do every time I play with an AW.

Do I seriously need to upload a video to shut you up? This is BASIC stuff.

AW's fade cloak abyss all day long.
Necros walking bomb abyss all day long.
Even last night on my reaver I was Dragon raging abyss for multiple runs with an AW.

I know it works normally "bro". But it doesn't when the ability bugs out. And i'm pretty sure i only said the AW himself couldn't hit them. Seeing as how this post is about when pota bugs out, not when it's working correctly your assumptions are flawed or you lack reading comprehension.

Last night I killed entire packs with my reaver while abyss was bugging out.

2 nights ago I killed entire packs with my necro while abyss was bugging out.

3 nights ago my friend killed entire packs with his AW (solo) while abyss was bugging out.

You're wrong, and next time I'm grouped with an AW I'll record and upload video proof just for you

And since you're so keen on reading comprehension I suggest you go back and read the OP that specifically -only- talks about them teleporting away after abyss ends, and read my reply which specifically states to kill them before they teleport away.

Funny how the first person to bring up reading comprehension is the person who utilizes it the least.

Apparently my teammates couldn't hit the golden nug before it teleported out. Which is weird since I can usually damage them.

 

Doesn't matter, the ability needs to be fixed.
