as the topic says.. I find it very hard not to have a storage location in the game for items.. even with getting greater carry capacity it fills up very very quickly.. After collecting various crafting items I barely have any room to pickup any weapons/armor..

I added 200 to my inventory space so it is now at 275 haven't really noticed any ill effects, except maybe it takes a little longer for the "paperdoll characters" to appear on the inventory screen as you reach around 170ish items.

You're not the first to ask, nor will you be the last. But if you ask me, it can't be said enough.

I would like to put in my vote for a storage chest as well. I like to keep different accessories and change them out for different boss fights. I find myself just selling stuff because I don't have enough room to pick up additional loot if I don't.

You do realise some people would gladly pay that right?

I hope it isn't quite that much, but otherwise you are absolutely correct. I paid for Warden's Keep but Black Emporium was included with my pre-order. I know they are considering adding DLC that lets you change your character's face in DAI, so maybe they will throw a storage chest in with it.

Don't say that, as if they dont have enough reason to charge us for every little thing. Dont give them the idea we would pay a penny for a simple item chest. lol

If Bioware is asking for $$ for a DLC which gives you a storage chest along with the main story.... they can shove it up their butt.

I havent found storage to be a problem. Crafting materials are held separately, not included into your item count. So gathering crafting items wont fill you up. Try actually playing the game before requesting ideas. I usually have about 15 items in my bag at all times, if I fill it, I sell stuff, but it doesn't fill with crafting mats or schematics. I see no point for storage chest at this time.

Maybe thats just you but I had my inventory filled in about the first hour of running around the hinterlands.

Then even after selling I still only got down to about 35-40 items. Problem is from what i hear some of the "valuable" items there are also used for other things. Not just as vendor trash for gold. So alot of my inventory space goes to that because i never know whats safe to sell or not.

Some better item descriptions would fix that.

^ This is very true about the valuables section, which creature research items also end up in and take up slots! If you don't remember to drop them off frequently to the mage at her table, they can really add up. I had to buy Inquisition perks to increase my 60 slots to 90, which really freaking sucks (on xbox one). Runes also take up slots (which is stupid, and so do weapon upgrades), and later in the game you don't want to sell off your better runes and weapon parts when you still might use them in crafting. There needs to be a storage chest, at least for runes, armor and weapons, but rings/amulets/belts would be nice too. I always got a ton of those in loot.

I'm at level 15 currently and max slots are 90.. I have a hard time getting below 75 items before I head out on a quest.. i'm not sure what the valuables are used for but I don't want to sell them just to have space.. they might be used for something down the road and I would prefer to store them before getting rid of them..  I turn in research but that frees up usually 5 slots each time.. its hard to play when you walk into an area with 6 chests and 3-5 items in each.. another issue is if you leave an area, go sell and come back its all different items in the chest..  so don't say i'm requesting ideas without playing.. DA I and DA II had storage chests in them.. not sure why they would remove it from DA III

"Valuables" is just a way of saying "vendor trash." Anything with a value greater than 1 gp is vendor trash. Sell it. It does nothing but take up space.

they might be used for something down the road

They're not.

Not everybody wants to sell everything they don't use. There's a pretty involved quest involving a long puzzle for a purple shield. The description says the shield has basically the power of a god in it. The thing is, it was well below my level. Why would anybody sell a shield infused with godpower just so they can hold a few more staff blades with cunning on them?

If Bioware is asking for $$ for a DLC which gives you a storage chest along with the main story.... they can shove it up their butt.

I'm on PC and pre-purchased the Deluxe. If they ask money for this basic feature they can go rob someone else.

When this issue happened with Origins we had robust modding tools that soon made up for the lack of storage, which made me not mind when they added an official chest with premium content. But now it's a whole different matter and they're pretty much walking on eggshells. They must not monetize basic features that should have been there in the first place. If there's a time to step up and make up for player frustration by adding free basic content, this is it.

Seriously?

I sell the useless and unwanted sheild so I can pick up more useless and unwanted items to sell for somewhat useless and unwanted coin.

You have 60-90 inventory slots. Your unwillingness to manage them or deal with the way you have decided to manage them warrants a want for additional content, not a need.

Perception.
Some feel a storage chest is "needed".
Some feel no need for a storage chest.
I also find it as uneeded and rather a want by some of the player base. In what way does uneeded content supposedly have to be a part of the base game. Isn't that one of the complaints? All the, what some call uneeded content?

If you want sometbing "extra" not currently in the game, you should expect to pay for it. You are making a personal request for something to be added, simply because you want it.

Heck I am willing to pay them for a dlc to let me turn off the auto save feature, as it is uneeded and not a part of the game. I want an additional feature added to a game that does not currently have this feature. No matter how I feel about whether it should have been a part of the game or not. Fact is it is not and I want it added for my own personal reasons.

Yet I also believe it is good for the relationship between developer and fans to have some additional small, yet free content added through updates etc. I believe the ability to change your appearance and things like a storage chest "could" be added to the game in such a way. No way is it necessary or are they responsible to.

i'm not asking for new content.. however 1st and 2nd part of this game does come with a storage chest.. its a basic portion thats always included in this type of games that a lot of PC players are used to.. i'm on PC and currently, like i mentioned level 15 with a lot of gear that's lever 18-19 that i can not use.. i would like to store it somewhere so I can use it when I reach the required level.. and valuables is not just trash... you collect items needed to to hand in research.. and when you leave an area to hand in research or sell items any items you leave in chests reroll when you come back and different items will be there..  so if you selling everything it's kind of pointless..  I don't care if they came up with a dlc that had a storage chest, but i believe this is a basic part of a game where you go do a quest and end up having to pickup 20+ items along the way.. maybe you get 1-2 usefull items and the rest will be garbage, but over time the useful items add up..

Everybody play the game the way Rip504 tells you to. Disregard the fact that storage chests are basically the #1 request everytime a DA game is released.
