As title puts it, how are you feeling it with the new patch?

 

My first experience:"Oh my new patch, and a big one too! Maybe playing will be bit more enjoyable!"

I load up my game in skyhold, have some operations done, start new ones, and when I give the one about sending military aid to Ferelden by cullen on the lead... Instant crash to desktop. Less than 2 minutes in the game.

 

 

...Colour me unconvinced with this patch.

The game is hideously ugly now, so I haven't really touched it.

What little I did play seemed to honestly not be that much different. The radar ping for objects is pretty cool, though.

I'm fearful of performance or stability issues once the shaders are fixed; the game seemed to perform normally with the broken shaders, however.

I reverted to previous to patch version and am now playing in offline mode. At least until hotfix is out. I've played 136 hours on Ultra and haven't had a single crash to desktop, or crash in general, don't want to risk playing the game with funky patch.

Errrr... ignorance is bliss.

Just keep Origin offline for a while

 

But anyway, patch 2 + workaround is working fine for me as well

Xbox 360 here. Haven't noticed any change, good or bad post-patch. I was hoping for text size control, or a font control option, as that is my main problem. I get plenty of texture pop-ins and render fails, but those don't bother near as much.

So they tried to fix the shiny hair thing on lower graphics settings. Fantastic! I mean, I used the higher setting just so I wouldn't have the shiny hair, but still pretty nice.....wait a minute....why the hell is my hair shiny now?!? Seriously, my hair wasn't shiny before and is now after they "fixed" it.

Patch and workaround working.

Search improved: big thumbs up (though still not ideal)

Combat seems to be better: when I activate a skill, my character shuffles to get in melee range of the mob

KE little more OP now that combos trigger on spirit blade

Less fun: when I 'leave conversation' I can't adjust the camera with the mouse anymore. Not sure why or how that got changed.

Work-around fixes my graphical issues. However, in Haven when I attempt to summon the war council, the likelihood that I get a CTD is pretty high. Have to re-load saves often.

Did the patches only fix things on pc? I haven't played the game on my ps4 for the past few days.

Yeah it looks like my elf mage uses chrome as hair spray (PC player).

 

But ... on the plus side I love the changes to the search/loot highligh and "take all" system.

Patch installed and working just fine, haven't had any issues whatsoever. Just- now my female human mage has no scar.

 

I decided to give her a scar similar to, well, Scar (The Lion King, you know, near the eye), 'cause heck, she survived the mage uprising and fled her circle. And now it's gone, quite a weird side effect. And yes, I'm sure she had it yesterday, but now it's simply gone.

 

EDIT: Found a way to revert the whole losing scars and complexion by using a command line parameter: http://forum.bioware...9#entry18031083

Make sure you include even the dash.

The patch is irrelevant since EA has managed to destroy my ability to 'register' the 'new' game.  So 80+ hours and no game for you.

Patch broke my multiplayer.

Actually, now that I changed the command line, it works great.

I'm pretty furious, I can't even load it up anymore. I get the damn 'can't connect to the EA server to validate your game on your computer' nonsense. I had zero problems pre patch now this. I am very upset at this clusterf#@&.l

This is un-unusual in the world of patches. Never leave auto update on unless you want to be complaining with the rest of them.

Never do, auto-update is madness. My PC version is quietly sitting in the corner while I'm enjoying my PS4 version.
