Xbox 360 here. Haven't noticed any change, good or bad post-patch. I was hoping for text size control, or a font control option, as that is my main problem. I get plenty of texture pop-ins and render fails, but those don't bother near as much.

That should be in patch 3

Patch plus PC workaround (the command line one) is working very well for me so far. All that shine is gone, game running smoothly with no lags, freezes or crashes (after about an hour of play), all settings on Ultra with Fade-Touched textures.

I don't know whether it's connected, but I've also experienced two bits of brand new banter in the space of about half an hour, when before I would go much longer without experiencing any, so this seems like good news. The search thing is a vast improvement too.

So, good news for me - if anyone from Bio is reading, thanks for coming up with a workaround so quickly :)

My specs in case they're relevant

i73820 @ 3.6 Ghz

12GB RAM

Samsung 840 Evo Pro SSD (250 GB)

NVidia GTX 970

Windows 8.1 Pro

Search improved: big thumbs up (though still not ideal)

Ah, good. I played about an hour (PS4) after downloading the patch, and for a moment I thought I had never seen those points in the map when scanning the area. I had to come here to confirm it was because of the patch (doh!). And I totally agree with the BIG thumbs up on this. It makes gathering resources much faster.

Apart form this I didn't notice any major changes during this hour of game-play, but no freezes or weird floating corpses/moonwalking either. So it looks like it's ok for PS4.

Patch 2 solved my cutscene crashes. Now I am able to enjoy the cinematics in the story.

But it has a minor flaw as it abviously changes the memory access and/or the priority of some processing. This causes me to have 'stops' while playing. When I walk into a new area the game sort of freezes or a moment because it has to gather information (presumably graphics). It only takes half a second or so.

But in general the overall performance has been optimised. I'd rather experience the game in full with cutscenes and live with the memory/processing bottleneck.

NO FRECKLES??? :(

Now I understand why some people complain about the new patch. Scout Harding without freckles? Oh my...

I still have freckles, scars and normal hair after Patch 2. I wonder why some don't?

There's a workaround for the missing scars, shiny hair, etc. You can find it here: http://forum.bioware...9#entry18031083

They're planning to fix it, but this should work in the meantime.

Does bleed work now?

Just found the Glittering Darmellion with its healthy bonus to bleed.

PC with Nvidia GPU.
The patch seems to be working fine now after the workaround solution. For some reason the frame rate seems to be a bit better now as it stays within 50-60 range in places where it used to dip into 40's pre-patch. Unfortunately, the load time has almost doubled in some areas. I haven't had any major stability issues prior to the patch and--knock on wood--as far as I can tell everything is still okay on that front. Also, I really like the addition to the search feature.

Except for scars not showing up and extra shine to the hair, the patch has been unproblematic for me so far. Loading seems to be better aswell as it's a tad faster than it was before.

Does the game start normally without patch or will game give lip about it? I haven't had any issues on pc and have auto update disabled in Origin.
