Consider the impact it had in DAO I was hoping to see what happen to the drawnen city. I mean if most the wardens had the calling at the same time and the ones that didn't go crazy with blood magic the dawner probaly benefict from many wardens coming to the deep roads.

Also in DA2 if you save Nathaniel  Howe he said that the wardens had a new allied (  the architet or something else if he was killed thought not sure about the second)

I was also hoping for a trip underground. Maybe it will be a DLC. Not sure why we would go there but hopefully.

The inquisition has a war table mission to ally with Orzimmar. That's all I've seen of it.

They don't have a history of caring much about surfacer problems.

There's also one to work with Kal Sharok. Also, there are ambassadors from Orzammar at the Winter Palace, they talk about some of the things happening in the city.

Pretty sure nothing important happens to the drawnes. I mean I got a table mission to ally with the dawned king, and that's it. So I suppose they're just doing regular dran stuff.

Rubbing it in to much?

The only on-screen 'contact' that I remember with Orzammar dwarves is during the Orlesian ball.  There is a group of three in the entrance hall that are discussing the difficulties the dwarves are having due to the Orlesian Civil war.  Apparently, if the surface troubles aren't solved quickly the dwarves will be facing a serious food crisis, since all their supplies come from surface trade.

It really drives home the point that Orzammar only pretends to be self-sufficient and that the casteless surface dwarves are the only thing keeping the city alive.

There are some war table missions as well for both dwarven cities, as others have said, and a codex entry regarding trade with the dwarves of Kal Sharok that seems to imply that they are all mutated or Tainted.

If y9ou remember back to the ending of DA:O Orzammar basically closed the door and went on a 20 year exile from the rest of Thedas

Nothing. Dwarves are Dwarves. Nothing changes. Ever. Except when it does, and the Shaperate just covers it up and lies about it.

Pretty sure that's only if you select Harrowmont. I'm pretty sure Bhelen does it differently.

My Paragon Aeducan crowned Bhelen which established prosperous trade with Orzammer and the surface world, brought Golems back to the Dwarven people and used her boon to reclaim a huge and impressive swath of the Deep Roads. I had hoped to hear 10 years later that her Kingdom would be prospering but we end up hearing little to nothing of Dwarven affairs. In fact the Dwarves at the winter palace seem to imply that Orzammar is still somehow struggling which seems absurd to me after all the Work I did in Origins to give her people a better future.

I remember seeing some concept art of some dwarven ruins. I assume it was cut content and will perhaps resurface in DLC. (Resurface hah..... Crickets)

Right, but that's enough reason why it can't be in the game. That's 1/2 choices you can potentially make.

If you listen to the dwarves at the Winter Palace, you get some good info that's dependent on your WS. Here is the information I've compiled so far:

I'm pretty sure they showed a dwarven city in one of the trailers. I guess that's on the cutting room floor.

Remember these occurred in the epilogue slides of DA:O and can thus be removed and edited at will. Gaider, I believe is on the record for saying that its just hearsay and rumours and cannot be taken at face value. Which is annoying particularly when you consider that in Awakening you can also retake Kal Hirol for the Dwarves as well.

I do agree it would have been awesome to actually see the Dwarves doing well (with potential boon, but that doesn't get carried to the Tapestry, but I'll check that up later) with the retaking of probably the Ortan , Aeducan and Kal Hirol Thaigs. I would cast some doubt, even with the boon granted, that the Dwarf and Human armies could have reached Bownamar and the Dead Trenches.

Spoiler

I did a run where I played a WS with Harrowmont as king and the anvil preserved. I can confirm the line about the king stopping experiments on casteless DOES NOT OCCUR IF HARROWMONT RULES. LOL Harrowmont should change his name to Harrowfail.

Orzammar and Kal-Sharok, Kal'Hirol sound like DLC.. Imo its big enough to implement as a big DLC with hours worth of content or in the next game since we never visited Kal-Sharok at all.

Could be about you playing with the HoF, finding out about the calling. If the one in DA:O died, you'd be playing the Awakening one. Not that I'll be playing this game any longer but the premise sounds more interesting than the entirety of Inquisition.

I'd love to have the series visit a dwarven city again, but since we've already been to Orzammar I think they should go with Kal-Shirok. Also the war table missions implied that something very odd is going on with Kal-Shirok, which makes much more interesting right now than Orzammar.

It sound absolutely boring. There's nothing inherently interesting about the calling.

That just proves it DAI is shallow. Only touches the surface of Thedas.
