Can you buy materials for crafting in-game?  I've seen some low-level herbs and cloth, but it'd be nice if you could buy what you need to craft rather than hunting-and-gathering.  I guess I'm just hoping there is a decent store somewhere (the stores really aren't that impressive) that I've missed.

As far as I know the stores only stock basic mats. There are a few perks you can choose from connections to change that though:
The Rare Stocks
Exacting Buyers
Only the Finest

I nabbed all of them but really didn't see any major improvement in the stores which was disappointing.
