In my first play-through, I picked up some valuable items that seem to be unique. But couldn't find any use except for sales. Are these items quest related or gifts for companions? Some of these valuables are:

Blood-Soaked Teddy Bear, Chantry Candle Stub, Crude Herb Manual, Gold Horn, and Too Many Breeches.

Rule is anything any thing in valuables is junk for selling unless the symbol/icon is gold coloured and it got a description beyond just its name.

Some of these items do have a description beyond just its name.

Where do I look for the sacks?

And I know what the weapon looks like from the schematic ha ha. but curious if it actually has any useful stats as a weapon. :)

Yeah, up until about level 12, it's useful but, you might not have all three keeps by then. You get the sad splinters (look like red sacks) at the entries of the keeps as you enter them.

Other than that Medallions of service are used if you need requisitions still and, spider Ichor. Those two are the only sellable items left that I've found since patch 3 that are needed for anything and, that's only for requisitions.
