I am happy to see that most people here seem to agree that the Artificier needs a buff to its powers. Certainly not a nerf in any way.

I'm not sure buff is the right thing, either, given how strong CD abuse can be. It needs a coherent theme, tho, and its traps should be effective at either range or up close.

Artificer does not need a buff. However, it needs a change. The concept is based of of tinkering/engineering/putting down traps/etc. Currently, it's subpar in terms of dps and survivability for a dw, and it's melee-orientedness(Is that even a word?) makes it useless for archers.

Of course, the passive itself makes the specialization a top dog end-game.

Add in some base cunning from abilities, or a masterworked bow, and you can hit 100%.

This should help archers take full advantage of Opportunity knocks.

Nerfing mark of death actually sounds like a good idea to me. Also, I wouldn't stretch it to call Opportunity Knocks useless if it didn't trigger on your own crits. You still have 3 other companions you can build for high crit chance, so on average its like -25% efficency if it did work as advertised.

Why are we nerfing **** in a single player game?

Dunno, to make the gameplay at least a little bit fun by reducing the number of broken builds and "I win" buttons. To me balanced games are always more fun to play. Tbh I'm getting tired of this argument as by this logic we can say that a game where all abilities do infinite damage in infinite radius is also ok and does no need to be nerfed since its single player and the combat is perfectly fine and fun. I should not be required to think which abilities I shouldn't pick so that the game remains at least a little bit fun. If I can't make relatively optimized builds (I like to optimize) and still have challenge it takes away a lot of fun for me.
