Ok, here's the deal... I can't find anywhere to buy health or mana, I bought all I could from Bodahn (the dwarf at the camp), the erchants on Orzammar, Denerim and Redcliffe, and now I can't find anywhere else! Some help here?

Elf Merchant in the Breciallian Forest has unlimited elfroot so you can make health potions.

Agreed, when this happens, you have to have your herbalist make more. Another suggestion is to really conserve them from the start and make sure your tank has the aggro and has good enough defense to not rely on potions except for emergencies. You should have way more than you need during the second half of the game.

one of your characters should have herbalism. you get the recipe for lesser health poultices from the start once you take level one in herbalism. just get flasks and elfroots and you'll be good until you hunt down a health poultice recipe and add a second level of herbalism. there's plenty of health and mana potions.

Without "me, too"ing this thread, I have to say that the above responses are spot on. I ran into the problem of not having enough potions early on. The trick is to make your own. Buy reagents from merchants (you can find info on who has unlimited elfroot, deep mushrooms, distillation agents, flasks, et cetera elsewhere on the forums) and make sure either your PC or Morrigan takes a few levels of herbalism (she starts with at least one and I think you can get through the whole game with just two).

this is no spoilers, so all i'll say is get all herbalism slots. there is a something you can use it for something.

I usualy make my own its cheaper and easier than looking through all the merchants. Also some npcs will drop them so loot everything.

I didn't need that many health potions with Spirit Healer available, but alchemy is the way to go for all potions.

Fair enough, thats why I added a question mark. I just thought that there would be new players who might not want to know where you can buy unlimited elfroot or lyrium dust. I didn't think that spoilers only applied to the plot but also to solutions such as this, and that such a question would belong in a different section (tactics perhaps).

I would agree that a strict definition of spoiler would count merchant inventories among them.

...or Wynne.  If you wish to make potent poultices and potions, you'll need all 4 ranks.  Unless you need tactics slots that badly, you can have them learn herbalism to its max and at least 1 other line.  Of course, if you think you can do with lesser poultices (and thats easily understandable), then do so.  Merchants don't restock them (unless they bug like certain beginning ones) so you'll need to make the investment either way.
