I started a character the day before the patch. Since the patch, I've played offline and haven't installed it (due to the issues I've been reading about).

This may be a dumb question but do the choices from DA keep still remain in my game, if I'm playing offline? I thought the import took place when I started the new game, but just wanted to make sure, since the message at the title screen when playing offline, is a bit confusing.

The worldstate is baked into the game as soon as you hit the import button and start the character creator.
