Will Bioware officially answer why the game differs so much from their promises AND the demo?

How can there be a requirement to "know" your own RP character if the intent is for you to step into the shoes and BE that character as soon as you exit character creation? What is there to learn about this character? Nothing. Because it is essentially YOU.

I don't see how the Fallout NV character can be "me." I grew up in a pre-apocalyptic USA.

What answers you expect? You will get none.

Preorders are gone, money are in so who cares, we will rant here till we get bored and that's It.

Obviously those who complaining the most will preorder next Bio game anyway becouse its always that way.

I never understand people that are preordering games based on developers promises.

You buying a car same way?, some guys just show you video of the car and you giving them cash straight away and wait till they get that car for you?...

Sometimes you are given dialog options that allow you to fill in blanks if you like the options given but these are never forced on you, are not plot relevant and if you refuse them they aren't treated as part of your character.

Can I lie about those things? If someone asks me about my past, can I give a substantive answer without making that answer true?

If so, then New Vegas (based on your description) meets my standard.

He's as much you as you are, in that you have direct knowledge of his mind.

I'd really like an example of a video game that fully meets your standards for roleplaying.

I can't think of one off the top of my head, but all of the necessary elements have appeared in games.

Just not together.

Maybe if TES:Arena had had turn-based combat.

Ultima IV, maybe.

Modern games tend not to. They're more games than simulations, and RPGs should be simulations.

The ONLY thing  bioware/ea does with these threads minus the random "LOCKDOWN  !", is laugh at us for our "self-help"  commiserations.

ea/bioware answer ONLY to the stockholders, it was dollars that got bioware enslav...er sold to EA, the doctors'  got their money and ran, so too did the Maker of MineCraft, let's wonder if he worries about the peeps he left in "microslops" hands.

But you know what?

They can NEVER take my Dragon's Age Origins (Heavily modded via Nexus) as well as my ME3 (With the "Mass Effect Happy Ending Mod").

"Your Choices Matter"

it's all about immersion, you take on a role in these games, hence "role-playing game"... maybe i can do it better than others but i can really step into the shoes of the characters i'm playing, and in some cases even my emotions or general attitude can be swayed by what happens in them (perhaps i'm insane!)
