I've heard there's a bookseller in Val Royeaux but I can't find it.  I think I've looked everywhere, but I'm sure I missed something obvious.  Does anyone know?

All shops are shown on the map - from the spawn, go right and then up the stairs to find the shop selling codex entries you missed; I'd guess that this is the shop selling training manuals for unavailable party members.

I found the one that sells the codex entries, but it doesn't have the training manuals.  I'm trying to get champion but Blackwall won't talk to me about it so I'm trying for a book shop.  Thanks tho!

The companions won't talk to you about it, you need to search the area where they hang out for the book. This doesnt apply if you havent recruited the companion that has the prestige class you want and only then can you purchase the book at the aforementioned bookseller in Val Royeaux.
