I'd heard some people talking about how it is a random schematic drop. But has there been any new information that anyone has been able to find out? Like if it's random drop from a specific location? Or if it is a regular, blue, or purple schematic?

You can purchase schematics from Exalted Plains I believe. Where the Dalish camp is. Also you can buy one, but it's pricey. I think it's an armor intended for a head of clan armor. I can't really remember if anything has randomly dropped, but I do remember having a couple Dalish armors along my adventures. I also remember the stuff I collected had weak stats when I got them. Best bet is probably to craft your own.
I hope Exalted Plains is where I meant to say.

In one play through ive gotten from the winter palace storage room after you talked to gaspard but i reloaded before looking at it.
the other one they are talking about are the mage one ( camp ) and the other one is the rogue ( hissing waste ).

I got the Dalish Warrior Armor from a chest or a pot in the Red Templar cave on the Storm Coast. I'm sure it was random. I popped some Silverite in it to remove class restrictions, and it looks great on my elf rogue Inquisitor, but I went back to my Prowler Armor for the stats. Anyway, just keep farming chests. RNG is very stingy.

Do you have a screenshot of what the armor looks like on a male elf?

I really don't know where I did find this schematic. It's the warrior's one crafted with silverite to grant my mage access.
Quite sure it's a random drop? Because I would like to have it for my next playthrough. Want to play elf again and imo they look good in this one.
Ah, but watch his feet. Not sure I like that part in particular.
