So during the epilogue Morrigan will mention that your Inquisition is focused on one of your three pillars.

What is taken into account during gameplay to make this decision? Is it how many perks you took in that area? How many agents that advisor has? How often you used that advisor on the war table?

I got the Forces ending and I'm stumped. I romanced Cullen but I certainly didn't show him any favoritism otherwise.

I believe it was decided that it's how many missions they did.

The obvious reason I use Cullen more than the rest is that I have more agents for him, so he's faster.

Huh. I would also like to know this. I too got forces in the end, but tended to favour Leliana for war table missions. But I had more agents (and probably perks as well) in forces. So I guess it depended on that?

I got forces, though I believe I used Cullen least of all. I do think I had the most perks in forces, so I imagine that's how it works.

I wanted to know as well. I started to mix them up because I saw that I was favoring Cullen more than anyone else.

Josephine!

Do everything!

I need the least amount of bloodshed and the most amount of allies!

Get to it! Chop! Chop!

I got forces, I assumed it was because I spent most of my perks in the Forces category.

Since then I've gone back and done a lot more war table missions/unlocked more perks. So I'm curious to see if I still get Forces.

I got secrets. I had the most perks in forces, but I think I had more agents in secrets. I also tended to favour secrets at the war table because they were more subtle (Jo relied to much on nobles listening and helping, and Cullen solved everything by hitting it with sticks).

Mine came out as secrets, even though I thought I'd used forces more, lol.

According the the dragon age wiki, it depends on which one has the most perks invested. I naturally had most of my perks in Forces because they gave the most useful things like potions and extra focus tiers.

It's very easy to check before ending the game. If you go to Blackwall and ask him about what he thinks of the Inquisition he will say a line about the current dominant force "This Inquisition is everyone's best friend" if Josephine, "Everyone's looking over their shoulder" if Leliana. I have not had Cullen as dominant force in any pt yet.

I don't think it's perks, I had the most in secrets, but still got forces epilogue.

Thought I'd add more fuel to this fire. I got both secrets and diplomacy. Morrigan stated both.

As I was playing I tried to balance who I used for missions. I took any and all agents I could find. I spread perks amongst things I thought useful.

This leads me to conclude there is a way to balance all three.

Good luck with that!

I don't think it's tied to the perks either. I got Connections in the epilogue, which is the one I have the least perks/agents for (11 for Forces, 10 for Secrets, 6 for Connections). On the war table I favored Secrets/Connections.

I wonder if the banners behind your advisors in the War Room at Skyhold have anything to do with this. I had 1 banner showing Lelianas raven, and two banners showing Cullen's fist. None of the thee showed Josephine's scales. In the epilogue, I got the forces slide.

Are you sure you didn't have more agents which also count as perks?

Could it be who you use in those quests where you discover a new zone.

She mentions which one your Inquisition excels in? 0o   How did I not notice this in any of the 3 times I've played the ending?  o0

My inquisition level was 20 at the end, and I don't remember Morrigan saying anything about this. Does anyone know how to check post game?

I poured all of my perks into Forces, yet wound up with a Secrets Inquisition. Super lame.

Hmm... maybe it only matters how many agents you have in each one.  Can somebody load an old save and count the number of agents you have for each category and report what epilogue you got?

I think it has to do with the amount of perks you spend in each category.

But.. He said "everyone's best friend" in my playthrough, and I ended up with forces.

I don't think it's that connected to war table missions eighter, as I tried to use everyone as much as I could (even if I favoured Leliana).

Will try to spend more perks in another category in my new game and see if it gives another result.

Ah, well, since Forces is my current dominant, here's Blackwall's line:

"If we mobilized all of the Inquisition's forces, Thedas itself would shake beneath our feet."

Strange - Blackwall's always said the "the Inquisition is everyone's best friend" line for me - I always make sure to give each advisor something to do on the War Table, though.  I might have more perks in connections - so maybe it's a combination of the two?

Found out today that influence caps at level 20, so there's a limit to how many perks you can have. I was trying to max out Josephine's perks so I could get the Connections ending instead of Forces... ah well.
